Great stop right off 101N. Outside seating and great fresh food! Famous for their mashed potato cones — MUSTTRY! Fully loaded it’s got cheese, bacon, gravy, and brisket. It sounds like too much but oh no. It’s not. The bacon adds perfect salty compliment to the savory potatoes and cheese and cone(not sweet even tho it’s a waffle cone) Clam chowder. Fish sandwich was great(and dairy free yay!). Nice cold wine and beer and awesome drought root beer. Highly recommend!

If you’ve never been to Lighthouse Grill, mashed potato cones might seem a bit bizarre but you won’t be disappointed because they’re oh so tasty! Also my other favorites are their clam chowder, fish and chips, and grilled cheese. And you can never go wrong with their homemade ice cream and waffle cones!

Staff was friendly. Food was hot and fresh. They do not offer refills on soda. Wait took a bit before food came out. The fish and chips were very bland. The batter just had no taste to it. Would not order it again. The menu has enough variety on it to keep the vegan hippy types happy as well as the carnivores.

Hands down the best kept secret in Humboldt County. Many people have never eaten here because of the line that usually goes out the door… Well, that line is there for a reason. The food is all from scratch, fresh, and tastes DAMN good. It’s amazing the menu variety that comes out of this little kitchen. …If I could give this place 6 stars I would give it 7 just for good measure. It’s the type of place you’d find on Diner’s, Drive In’s, & Dives.

Wow, what a gem of a café. Trinidad is such a cool place and this place is great when you factor in value. It’s more like a high end fast food joint than a restaurant in the sense that you order at a counter and bus your own dishes but the food here is really solid and the people are so nice. I had the southwest burger special an a side salad for $ 11.50 and it was very good. I really liked the small diameter but thick burger, it was so juicy. It’s in the parking lot of a small strip mall right off of Hwy 101 but don’t let that deter you. Check it out.

Ordered burgers, clam chowder and some drinks for my kids and a lemonade with mint home made. Sadly, my family and Weren’t impressed with their food. Cute ambiance and staff was friendly. I don’t think I will go back for their lunch just for their ice cream and waffle cones.

On the recommendation of a passerby that lived in the area we stopped by the lighthouse grille and was extremely happy to have gotten the chance to visit this quant and very reasonably priced little diner! The staff was above and beyond friendly especially given the fact that we came in very close to closing time and then even ordered additional items after closing time. The crab melt was insanely good and to top it off their ice cream was out of this world too! They also had a nice selection of local wines/beers. All in all you could tell the lighthouse grill was a local favorite even before we had a few locals state that«EVERYTHING is good at the lighthouse grill.» After only one visit I can say I definitely believe it!

I recently tried Lighthouse Grill. All members of my party enjoyed their meals very much. It was crowded so our food took a bit to come out but when it did we were very please. The Crab melt was very very good. To me Gravy Fries alone are worth the ride up there. I am looking forward to retuning.

This place is very good for quick bite. I liked almost everything I ordered . Blackened cod fish was so yummm, definitely must. Only prob was mashed potato on side. It was not creamy at all, I guess they served the same potato which they use in their cone Veggie chili is very good with right amount of spiciness. Nut burger was good too but with bit of sweetness, so if u ok with sweetness this burger is great. But I prefer my burger non sweet . Garlic fries were kinda okish Arnold Palmer was house made, special Ice tea, very fresh n refreshing Definitely a good place n value for money

Fish n chips were so greasy they made my stomach hurt. Their famous mashed potato cone was nothing to rave about… once you ate the top part with the bacon, cheese, gravy, etc. all you’re left with is a huge soggy cone with mashed potatoes in it. Rogue root beer on tap was awesome, though!

An object lesson on how a place doesn’t need to be big or fancy to do a great job. We had two light meals here. The veggie chili was excellent and the root beer float had exemplary housemade ice cream. Might not work for those with enormous appetites(well, just order more dishes) and inside seating fairly limited and outside seating are at picnic tables overlooking a parking lot. But these are minor quibbles for this small village find.

Pros: BBQ beef brisket sandwich, $ 8. Quick serve casual brings the food to you. Much faster than a place will full service. Pitcher of good beer $ 15. Lots of out door seating, some indoor. Very friendly staff. Great local find. Cons: patio needs umbrella’s, not just for rain but all the sun we got in May. Really, about the only complaint… silly I know:)

One of the best spot to stop for a good hamburger, chili fries are awesome as well. Worth the stop off the 101 or if you live in the area. 2nd time here and it will not be the last time we come to this amazing place. Fresh ice cream

Oh my gosh… From the moment we walked in we knew it would be good. Ambiance and attentive service. They took time to let us taste the wines, and our food was delicious. Thank you for opening this local treasure. We will be back.

As a local, I love the lighthouse grill! The employees are super friendly, and the food is always good. Love getting an ice-cream come on a sunny day and bringing it to the beach(all within walking distance). 4-stars because I’ve noticed the price has been slowly increasing & wish the menu would change to offer more options! Order the nut-burger!

This place is a tiny little treasure. It looks like a tiny dive, but tastes like a five diamond fancy restaurant. The burgers are served on freshly baked brioche buns that are delicious. Fried chicken is fresh, not frozen patties. They have hand made cream sodas with real vanilla bean. The veggie chili is and amazingly good, not too spicy. The portions are small, but priced accordingly. You will finish your plate. Order fries separate, as they only are included with the kids meals. Every person working was just incredibly friendly and went out of their way to get it right. They have local art displayed everywhere. I wish I lived near here and could come all the time. I’d be a regular.

So good. These gems of mom and pop places are what makes road trips fun. lighthouse grill has great food with a different twist(meat in a cone, anyone?), great art on the walls, friendly service, tasty beer & root beer on tap. Love it.

Cute little self-order style restaurant in the hub of Trinidad. Known for their original mashed potato cones, fresh local cod sandwiches/fish & chips. Ordered a nut burger $ 7.~was tasty, but a tad dry & crumbly. G had the fish & chips $ 10~Yum! The fish was definitely local, fresh & tender. The batter was crispy. Fries were very good & abundant(a bit oily), but tasty. Not so impressed with the limited menu options, the quality of the veg burger, but would go back for the fish & chips in hope that the fries would come out better.
