The guys at Salty’s are great. I hadn’t fished in a while and never in that area, so I wasn’t sure what bait to use or how to set up my poles. These guys had me bring in my tackle box and poles to assess what I had and then helped me find everything else that I needed. I never felt like they were trying to take advantage and sell me stuff I didn’t need. They also set up a few of my leaders and taught me how to do it myself. They pulled out maps and circled their favorite places to fish. If ever I find myself in Trinidad again, I will most definitely pay a visit to Salty’s.

I love Salty’s! I have rented wetsuits and boards here several times and have been pleased with the service every time. The new owner is very nice and even helped me and my friend load our surfboards onto the car and loaned us some straps. Clean, fresh shop with fishing and surfing equipment and reasonable rates for rentals. They even have coffee! This is an excellent place to drop in and get gear before heading out on the ocean or fishing expedition.

This place wasn’t even open yet, they are doing some remodeling, but they let us in and were extremely helpful! They gave us great fishing tips and told us exactly what we needed!

This is great little shop for any of your surfing or fishing needs. They are extremely knowledgeable of all the local spots to hit some killer waves, or snag some big fish. Check it out if you’re in the area, they know what they are talking about.
