Surprised by the reviews on here. I’ve been here twice for a cut and one time for an eyebrow wax. Each time the staff has been professional, friendly and did exactly what I wanted. I always like my haircuts from here and will always return!

When I first started going here I loved it. I recommend seeing Linda or Sarah.(5 stars for them two) However one day Linda was busy and I could not have her do my eyebrow waxing so I opted to have somebody else do it Alex. it was a big mistake. she pulled in the wrong direction taking none of the hair and skipping half of an eyebrow on one side Luckily I called back and Sarah fixed them I emailed and sent photos to the owner and got no response. so if Linda or Sarah or ever busy again I will just come back another day

Horrible, horrible, horrible! If you want to look like your straight out of the 1980’s and grow your hair out for the next two years make an appointment with Robert and his over– confident, product pushing, lack of skills, I was trained by the best and own a crappy salon in Hamilton self…

I am not sure why this place does not have more reviews than the two that are listed here. I came here in January 2015 to get a haircut as well as a color treatment. I was scheduled for a Saturday afternoon with Sarah. I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment time and Sarah immediately greeted me once she knew I had arrived. I am not sure about other men out there, but once I get used to a stylist and salon, it is hard for me to change. So, needless to say, I was very nervous about visiting a new salon as well as a new stylist. I was also getting a color treatment, which added to my anxiousness, so you can just imagine what was going on inside of me. Well, when it was all said and done, Sarah, was the best! She took her time recommending color options and her recommendations were «perfect». She talked to me the whole time, as if I was a long-​standing customer. Not once did she make me feel uneasy or apprehensive. She made me feel good about the process and put me completely at ease. Once the coloring was done and my hair washed and rinsed, Sarah gave me a long overdue haircut. Again, any nervousness I had was quickly erased by how Sarah talked me through some of her recommendations. When I left the salon, I was on cloud nine. The coloring was perfect and looked so natural and my haircut was the best. I have found a new home at the Robert James Salon and Spa and I found Sarah, my new stylist. Highly recommend this place.

I went here to get a full set of highlights in my hair. I had an appointment but I am not a regular. A woman came in after me as a walk-​in but she was known around the salon so they took her before me. My stylist was nice but a bit unrefined. She was a stylist that works there from time to time and her conversation was a bit colorful, to say the least. My highlights are *okay*. She could have gotten closer to the scalp. It made it look like I already had regrowth. Perhaps a tactic to get you to come in sooner for a retouch? One may never know. She also left a friggin HUGE patch of blonde in the very back of my hair, near the nape of my neck. Needless to say. I can’t even wear my hair up without someone exclaiming, «What happened here??!» An uncouth hairstylist happened, that’s what. My hair is about a Level 1 naturally so of course, she had to tone it so I didn’t come out with orange-​y, brassy highlights. But what I ended up with was some SUPER ash blonde pieces where she must have kept the purple shampoo on too long and some brassy blonde highlights in other places. New customers are also supposed to get a discount. I mentioned it when I walked in and before I left but somehow, they forgot to add it to my total bill. I’ll give them one more try with a new stylist because I like to have faith. I will update this when I do.
