If you’re tired of going to the same healthy options over and over and over. Try WaBa. The salad with extra beef is SO good. It’s a huge salad with almonds that add so much flavor. Great fresh food, great salad. Next time I’m starving at lunch or even dinner and I want a lot of food without the calories I’ll be here again and again.

WaBa Grill is awesome. I used to frequent Flame Broiler quite a bit, maybe once or twice a month… until I found this place. Honestly, the quality of the food is the same to me but there are maybe two subtle differences that lead me to frequent this place more often:(1) green onions — I like green onions on my chicken bowl(lots), at WaBa there are unlimited green onions on the counter for you to add yourself, and(2) hot sauce — there are two hot sauces at this location — their regular hot sauce and a Louisiana hot sauce. Since I like my bowl loaded with green onions and a mix of both hot sauces, this is the place for me. Sorry Flame Broiler, we had our run. As for the food, it’s on par with Flame Broiler. It’s chicken and rice, or beef and rice, or salmon and rice. Maybe a salad. I stick with the basic chicken bowl with brown rice and I’ve never been done wrong. Simple and delicious. As far as other things go, this place just opened within the last year so things are still clean. Service is fine and no hassle and there is really nothing else to complain about. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a cheap meal that is relatively healthy and fast.

I must say that WABAGRILL is my favorite, I use to love going to this place on carson st. And western but after knowing about there policy? That each employer before they clock out they have to sweep inside were customers eat, is Like wheres the respect from that alone? They might as well sweep the dust off the floor and use it as pepper in our food? THISFALLSONTHEOWNERSHEMUSTNOTCAREFORTHEHEALTHOFOTHERS!!! VERYSADANDSELFISH!!!

food is pretty good. Love they have brown rice option. The rib plate is good serving size.. Love that the casier was honest in suggesting the rib plate. I asked her which was better steak vs rib cause some places use cheap meat and u pulling strings out your mouth with some steak plates. I was satisfied with her suggestion.

This WaBa Grill is my favorite. They always provide the best service, and their food is always made with consistence. I always order the half-half veggie bowl with brown rice. This is half chicken and half beef. The bowl is always so full, that it usually makes two meals for me. Food isn’t too salty. You can add more sauce if you like. Their WaBa sauce kinda reminds me of teriyaki and hoisen sauce mix. It’s really tasty! On the counter, you can add green onions to your order, and they also offer spicy pickled carrots with jalapenos. Nearby is extra WaBa sauce and hot sauce(sorta like sriacha). You can also help yourself to plastic-ware, straws, toothpicks, salt, pepper. The staff is very friendly and the establishment is always very clean. Orders don’t often take very long, but if you’re ordering quite a bit, call ahead. They have a good amount of tables/chairs, but during lunch hours, it gets pretty busy. I’m a fan, so I’m a regular. Good food, good staff!

Do NOT go here. We ordered a steak plate and requested no teriyaki sauce. They added teriyaki sauce and refused to make us a new order. We requested a refund and the cashier said it was not her fault that we did not like it. We left hungry and wasted our money. Worse customer service I’ve ever had.

This restaurant reminds me of Flame Broiler, It’s almost an exact copy. Parking was easy and the staff was nice as well. I ordered a chicken bowl with half brown rice, half veggies. I usually don’t like comparing different restaurants but this review will be based on a comparison. The food was delicious, But in comparison to flame broiler the veggies could taste better. The chicken was delicious, i’d say a bit better than flame broiler, the only issue was I barely got any. and the reason I ordered a chicken teriyaki bowl was to get chicken. Flame broiler gave me 3X the chicken I received here. The brown rice tasted as it should, compared to flame broiler the brown rice was the same. Price was average and facility was clean. The only issue I had was the small amount of food received compared to flame broiler, I’ll definitely give this place another shot and i’ll update on my next visit. Overall good food!

Staff is friendly, dining area is spacious & clean. I absolutely love that you can get a teriyaki bowl with the option of substituting for more veggies. I also like that this place offers brown rice. Flame Broiler is the only other place that offers that. My usual go to for teriyaki is Tokyo Grill, but the sauce from here is comparable. Will probably return in the future!

I was excited to try this place because the pictures on the menu looked so good. Ohh, how I wad disappointed. I had the grilled beef on salad. Although the beef tasted good, it came with burnt bits, as if the grill has been used a while and not kept clean and charcoalized particles follwed the the meat to my plate. A little unpleasant when you bite down into it. It appeared at Waba Grill a pile of lettuce a salad makes. It was just a pile of lettuce with carrots sprinkled on top. And oi dress up the salad an Oriental dressing was offered. Unfortunately, it had the consistency of nose mucus. It tasted okay but the thick, slimy dressings texture was very off putting. I will never come back here. P. S. This location is a Pepsi products only location.

Great food! Chicken and veggie with no rice is a great meal. Friendly service! The only problem is the music is way too loud! Not sure if the staff controls the music but it was way to loud. I left and went and ate in the car!

Service was great, nice cashier. Meat: Chicken leaves a lot be desired, fatty pieces of chicken and not a lot of it. Veg: carrots, broc, lettuce… steamed ok Rice: it was rice; nothing to rave about. All in all not worth the $ 7 for a little cup of rice, couple small fatty pieces of chicken and few slices of carrots and broc. If it was $ 3 total, I’d say it’s OK but at $ 7; don’t bother

Great healthy option. Prefer the fish over the beef or chicken

I had the grilled shrimp teriyaki bowl with lots of grilled veggies and white rice. It felt like a very light and healthy meaL, yet it filled me to the brim. I was very full. This seems like a great option for healthier teriyaki!!! High recommend.

Came for a quick lunch, expecting cheap quality food for a cheap quality price. I found that adding brown rice costs extra(fine) and adding vegetables costs even more(less fine). Ultimately, I paid almost $ 6 for a bowl that was mostly rice and some chicken, the latter of which was(admittedly) edible. Expectation shattered. Had I eaten all the rice, I would’ve been full. I would’ve also increased my BMI by a full point, which is absurd in a place whose tagline is «Eat smart, Be Healthy!». There are better places in the vicinity. I recommend avoiding this joint.

Was in the mood for some good Teriyaki so decided to give Waba grill a try. Waba grill has opened up bang next to my favorite Panaderia in a plaza shared by a coin laundry, dominos and Habana Vieja cuban place so parking is always tight but you manage to get a spot. At the peak lunch hour on Saturday the place was absolutely empty save the server behind the counter. I walked in to the counter and started reading the menu to figure out what to get while the server behind stood like a stone statue without offering any suggestions. I went with the chicken and steak plate($ 7.99 + tax) which comes with rice, salad and a slice of orange. My takeaway was ready in five minutes. Taste wise it was a complete failure. The chicken was dry and cubed into small pieces. The beef felt bland, stringy and undercooked. The salad was just sad. The rice was of cheap quality and did not have any sesame seeds or similar dressing to enhance its flavor. I went through the motions of eating what I had got as I was hungry but was totally disappointed. Have to find another decent Teriyaki place near by as I have no intention of returning to Waba grill again.

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted my the front person. I looked at the menu and ordered the steal bowl and half & half bowl. In about 5 mins, the did was ready. I took a bite of the half & half bowl and the chicken was good but the steak tasted even better. The cashier was nice.

I first came here when it first opened, and didn’t care much for it… it was my first time trying Waba Grill. I recently went again a couple of more times… and have realized I just don’t like their beef… but I do like their chicken! My fav. dish here is the Vegetable Chicken Bowl.
