Met someone here for lunch one day, and glad he suggested it! Pastrami was delicious, and the best part was, since I got the bigger sandwich, I had leftovers! Made to order, so don’t expect to be in and out, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. We sat outside to eat. Street parking only, and it’s limited.

Two up! Yum! Had a turkey bacon sandwich on roll. Excellent!!! I LOVE bread that’s light and crisp & that’s exactly what theirs is. YUM!(I just can’t stand the soft white sub bread that tends to taste stale even when fresh that most other sandwich places have.) I’ll be back Tucker’s deli, and next time I’ll try the highly praised hot pastrami.

Just stopped in for something and saw that they served sandwiches. So I ordered the Turkey and Bacon and WOW what a Sammich. I will definitely be heading back there. Oh and by the way what I had originally stopped for I completely forgot. Oh The Sammich was GREAT!!!

I work 30 seconds away and have only been here twice. I might«accidentally» forget my lunch to come here more. Great staff. I had the #4. Forgot the name but it’s turkey and bacon and was phenomenal.

I came here for lunch one day, got the pastrami and am now hooked for life. I even got my co-workers hooked on the pastrami. We started pastrami Wednesday at my job now. That’s how amazing the pastrami is, only one way to described it… flavor explosion in your mouth! Yep… flavor explosion! Only suggestion would be to call your order in ahead of time.

Delicious sandwiches! The quality of the meat is outstanding and tasty. The market has good selection of beers and wine.

Great Sandwiches and staff. For being a neighborhood store the owner does not seem to share sense of community or appreciation for loyal customers. After an incident before Xmas, where the owner places his cheap vodka on a shelf knee level in front of cash register and my daughter accidently knocked over a bottle that broke. After spending over $ 50 in sandwiches, he charged us full price for the bottle, without taking any responsibility for his poor placement choice. The owner will nickel and dime you to death if he gets a chance. Our family is now boycotting Tuckers, not because of the food, but for the owners repeated lack of understanding that getting a buck now will cost you valued customers in the long run. Mundo is the man and seems to really want you to enjoy your sandwich. Although my family miss their sandwiches, I am done giving this guy the thousands of dollars a year in business to have him continue to reach in my pocket fulfill his need to squeeze every dime. My recommendation is to visit when the owner is not present as the rest of the staff will take care of you.

beast pastrami I’ve had in quite a long time! Good lean cut, not too greasy, but not over cooked and dry. Not the cheapest, but definitely reasonable considering the portion size. And without question worth every penny! I think I’ve found my new sandwich place.

I can’t believe I hadn’t written a review of this place before today. I’ve been coming here pretty regularly for the lat 6 years. The sandwiches are FANTASTIC and Mundo knows exactly how I like them. I typically rotate between the turkey avocado and the chipotle bacon, but once when I mentioned how nostalgic I was for one of my favorite sandwiches from my childhood, they were happy to make it for me and add it to the menu(with a few modifications). This is one is beautiful, rare roast beef(the way it should be), blue cheese dressing, red onion, lettuce & tomato(feel free to add bacon). You must have the squaw bread. It really completes the sandwich. You can even buy a loaf of it there. And they use Boar’s Head meats, which IMO is the best deli meat around.

This place is like a suffer bumb shack just not close to he beach. Took way too long to get a hot pastrami and a cold sub. I thought this better be Fn good! We’ll it was. The pastrami was a meager $ 5.95 and delicious. It took a while because they obviously put some live into it. Don’t be scared off by the dumpy appearance as it is clean and in a decent neighborhood. Going to go back for sure. Better for the money than the over rated and over price«Busy Bee» in Pedro which is like a cafeteria line sandwich operation.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by a banner that read: «The best sandwiches in town» I was skeptical from the start, but I was hungry… Although I haven’t tried all of them, I was impressed… The pastrami is my favorite… they pack it with everything you could possibly desire, on bread that is always perfect… never too hard, never soggy… As you inhale the hand crafted beauty before you, you ignore the juices dripping down your face, fingers, and arms even though you have a napkin within reach… you sit there like an infant in a high chair devouring a jar of pureed carrots and peas, oblivious to the fact that your shirt and pants are now ruined. The keys on your cell phone are glued together by a sticky concoction of mustard, mayo and pepperoncini drippings that have also adhered your left elbow to the table… Shortly there after, you sit there wondering what just happened… it was real, my friend… it’s that good…

I used to stop here on my way to South High back in the early 70’s, back then it was Newton Street Market, glad to see it is still here. Always has been a nice little neighborhood market, and it still is.

We live nearby and it’s the perfect mini mart with booze, beer, boar’s head, and the television tuned in to the History channel.

A definite hidden gem of a local deli/mini market. I went there for the first time over the weekend and was warmly greeted by two individuals working vigorously to complete a rather large order. One of them took a moment to take my order and said it would be a few minutes for my order. Needless to say, it was well worth the wait. I ordered a pastrami sandwich which was generously loaded with pastrami and trimmings. The pastrami was cooked and seasoned perfectly. They also offer a wide variety of chips to compliment your sandwich at very reasonable pricing.

Grew up going to Tucker’s. All owners have been very friendly, including the current ones. Good place to pick up some candy, chips, beer, but most of all… their AMAZING sandwiches. My usual is a sliced chicken sandwich with avocado. Their meat is all Boar’s Head; bread is always soft; toppings always fresh; suuuuper tasty. Ham and roast beef are delish too. Can never go wrong.
