This is the best pizza ever served by two of the most wonderful people eve. Raquel and Fernando go out of their way to make their customers feel special. My wife and I have been going there once a week for several months. We get their build-it-yourself pizza with unlimited toppings for $ 7.50. They offer a wonderful selection of toppings and cook the pizzas to perfection. We each get a pizza and usually ask for a box to take the rest home for another meal. This is an excellent value.

Love this concept! Build your own pizza, pasta, or salad. I love to eat here, the wings when they have them are awesome. The employees are amazingly nice here. I mainly come for the atmosphere and wonderful employees!

This place is awesome. It’s located in the Crossroads shopping center on the corner across from Home Goods. The lady who runs it is always so sweet and accommodating. Pizzas and pastas are create-your-own with a great variety of toppings, and the chicken wings are CRAZYGOOD. 5 for only $ 2.99, fresh to order. Great for a quick lunch or fun dinner with friends. Highly recommended!

Wow. I am very impressed. The quality of ingredients and toppings, the cheese that’s used. The pizza crust, it’s all perfect. I would compare this towards a New York style pizza, the only thing I would critique is that they should cut the pizza into less slices, cutting into into 8 tiny slices makes it hard to eat. I think 3 – 4 would be perfect. The wings are good! Home style, the buffalo sauce here is perfect. I enjoyed everything and will be back.

Came here today for lunch and left very satisfied. I was interested in checking this place out because of it’s «build your own pizza, pasta or salad» concept. You can order a two topping pizza for $ 5.99& for unlimited toppings it’s $ 7.50. Ordered a pizza with garlic butter and spicy marinara base. I love when there’s a lot of sauce on a pizza. Then added caramelized onions, red bell pepper, mushrooms, spinach, basil, jalapeño, spicy sausage and roasted garlic. Asked for it well done because who doesn’t like an extra crunchy crust… Plus I wanted to make sure all the toppings weren’t undercooked. I hate raw veggies on a pizza, it’s one of my big pet peeves. Anyway, Fernando brought out my pizza & it came out perfect. Tasted even better than it looked. Customer service was fast and friendly. The restaurant itself was nice and clean. Definitely will be coming back sometime in the near future. I want to try their wings next time.

Sucks! Terrible services. I wanted to add spinach on my pizza, So I asked a server, skinny American white boy but he said to me spinach is out. I said it’s ok. But, next customer asked him for spinach the server said«right away sir!» And the server brought a bunch of spinach from kitchen. When I heard about that, I was soooooo angry! I didnt say nothing though. I felt like I was discriminated! That’s because I’m a Asian and he thought I don’t understand English!!! That’ was unfair!!! I paid for my pizza! I am a customer who should be treated as other regular customers too, like American!!! Don’t ever do discrimination!!! WTF

Build your own pizza, like, yourself. They give you the dough, and you can use the tongs and ladles to piece together your own masterpiece. Or disasterpiece. I recommend going for the unlimited toppings for under $ 8. If you pile it high on your personal pizza, you will get a ton of food. It feels like such a great value, especially when you think of the money you’d spend at a place like CPK. The ingredients I had were quality, and everything tasted delicious. There were no wings the night I went though, which made me sadder than anyone would guess. The service was very friendly. Looking forward to a return visit.

This place is the bomb diggity and better than Blaze Pizza, in my opinion. You pay 7.50 for unlimited toppings, and may I say, they have SO much to choose from. And you can put however much amount of each topping on your pizza. Their toppings and ingredients are nothing less than delicious.

A great make your own pizza joint. Their wings(Thai Version) are easily the best I’ve had since I moved here 5 years ago. Tons of options for toppings. The thin crust came out as close to perfection as I’ve had. This is my go to pizza spot. Pizza — 4.5 Stars Wings — 5 Stars

Ya I think this place tops Blaze Pizza for me. I get to Put as much toppings on my own and not yell through the glass. They also have gluten free.

Not my favorite set up, I prefer the create your own places that actually create it for you. Sure, putting the toppings on yourself is great in the fact that you can put on more of one thing, less of the other, but also the prices go up compared to other places as they charge by the oz. Also just not as sanitary, the topping area was a mess. Service, not that great, the pizza tasted fine, but I have to say i prefer pretty much all the other create you own pizza places over Five85

Fun, friendly, fast. All the toppings are fresh and there’s so many to choose from. Tip– when ordering pizza, always add the garlic to the crust!!! Whole family loved lunch and we’ll be back!

I wanted fresh jalapenos and they are the only ones who have it! Pros(+3.5) Friendly lady at front counter That’s a large variety of items! Organic veggies! Best vegetable selection compared to competitors Pie remains crispy s/p putting tons of stuff on top! Cons(–1) Since it is a weight based pie, my pies end up costing significantly more than if I were to buy them at piology or blaze due to an overload of topping weight Fake ricotta? Just don’t offer it, canned cheese is tacky Maybe it’s because it’s closing time, but seafood not looking so good Bottom Line: That was a good pizza(probably because you make it yourself right?) and I’d recommend it to a friend

So I went here the other day and I heard about it from a friend that it was a «yogurtland for pizza» haha so it’s basically a build your own pizza(you put the toppings on yourself) and overall, it was very good! –I got half pesto and half marinara pizza and added a few mushrooms, tomatoes, and spinach(I’m vegetarian) but my friend who also went with me got ham, grilled chicken, etc. They measure it by the weight of your pizza which is pretty interesting. But i enjoyed it a lot and I will definitely be returning! The only downfall, would probably be the topping sections, for the shrimp, it was very liquidy and it just didn’t look appetizing to put on my pizza, same goes for the sliced tomatoes and mozzarella. I wish it just looked a little more clean. But other than that, perfecto!

Came in on a Friday evening and they were short staffed. I was greeted when I walked in though. Took a while to get our party of 3’s pizza dough since only one person was helping us. It’s cool that it’s a mash up of pieology/blaze and yogurtland. They prep the dough with marinara/pesto and cheese. Then you are free to add on the toppings. But don’t forget that they weigh it in the end! Overall it’s a cool concept, but I think I’d rather go to Blaze or Pieology in the end.

I’ve technically been here three times. However, I only tried the pizza one of those times. The first time I came with my brother and just got a pizza for him. The second time, I arrived on a weekday afternoon and there were only two employees and the one making the crust and stuff was too slow. This third time I finally was able to try the pizza! I like the concept of build your own pizza and being charged by the ounce. I was heavy handed when it came to putting on toppings so I thought my pizza would be expensive but it wasn’t. My pizza came up to under $ 6. I had the garlic butter base but next time I will try Olive oil base cause I feel my pizza had a slight weird aftertaste. The toppings were plenty. The wait for the pizza was not long. About 5 min. They have a great deal going on right now where the first pizza is half off. I only paid $ 8 for two pizzas. You can not find a deal like that anywhere else. I would consider this place very budget friendly and has a chance to be up there with it’s competition.

Pizza Time! After trying the competition my bar was set pretty high. Even before I visited I knew they charged by the ounce. The only other similar place I have tried is Pieology. They have a set price for unlimited toppings and in my experience they are pretty generous with the amount they give you. I will give it to them on multiple fronts. Their service was great. Friendly staff. Their topping selection was better than average. The drink selection is very good with iced tea, Snapple, and other bottled drinks. Great chicken wings! What a surprise! I liked how they were meaty and the right amount of middle spice heat. The pizza itself is pretty good overall for $ 10. The marinara sauce was a little simple and light in flavor. Mozzarella cheese is good. The chicken was a little dry and the flavor was below average. The Korean beef was a terrible item! My friend and I hated it. Why does it taste mushy and sweet? Doesn’t fit the pizza theme. Veggies were pretty good but the red peppers need to be cut smaller. The crust was a little overcooked and the outside edge was burned — and I really love crust! Verdict: Leave weighing to the yogurt lands. It holds up as a decent meal.

Pizza Five85 is fresh on the block, right next to my favorite Korean BBQ place. The setup is similar to Pieology except their hook is that all of the ingredients are organic! That’s pretty amazing, considering the prices are reasonable. The pizza is solid and I love that YOU can do the toppings yourself or have them do it for you. Of course, the pig that I am, I piled my toppings on there and ate like a king. The place is great, highly recommend my pizza friends to give it a shot. I’m all about going to places that have organic or farm to table, so its worth adding to a special list.

Located in Torrance crossroads next to jersey mikes, Pizza five85 is similar to Pieology and blaze but with a Twist! You walk in and you are greeted by the friendly staff. The wall to the left has directions on how you order. You start off with the base sauce such as original, garlic butter, and pesto. The pizza crusts are thin pizza crusts. I chose the garlic butter and pesto and they are super delicious. Next, the staff asks you if you want to do your own pizza or they will do it for you! MEANING, you can grab your own toppings and get the amount you want! You then scoot your pizza towards the meat section. There are so many toppings and they have Korean meat(bulgogi) – so cool! I picked more of an all meat pizza and incorporated the Korean meat(bulgogi). Best choice ever haha. Next, you scoot your pizza to the vegetable section. They have two sections for vegetable, which provide you with a lot of choices. Then, you pass by the salad section. If you are done, then you weigh your pizza. Depending on how much you put on your pizza, then that will be a factor in your price. They place your pizza in the oven and it doesn’t take that long. Also, the owner mentioned that after your pizza is done, you can get the lighter vegetable toppings for free that is right of the packaged salads. The owner, Wayne, was very friendly and explained the whole process from start to finish! He was very gracious and explained the difference between Pieology and blaze and his place! Very cool restaurant. I’ll be sure come back and try other toppings and pizza creations! So the twist: you can literally serve your own toppings and pick how much of it you want AND You pay by weight!

Pizza Five 85! Assemble your own! There’s a new pizza place in town! Pizza Five85 just opened up today at the Torrance Crossroads plaza. It’s concept is «assemble your own.» Via a simple four step process, you get to build up your very own unique pizza. Step 1 is to pick your crust: original or garlic Step 2: Get Saucy and cheesy: pick marinara or pesto Step 3: Go Crazy with it: pile it up with your choice of toppings Step 4: Weigh it and pay — 39 cents/oz. I love the concept of being able to build your own pizza. I topped mine with all of my favorite ingredients! Spicy cajun chicken, yes, please! Ricotta cheese, check! Shitake mushrooms, pile it on! Eggplant, add, add, add! My pizza came out from the oven nicely hot and oh so delicous! The pizza crust was perfectly crispy and each ingredient tasted fresh. Each bite was simply delightful. This place is nice addition to Torrance Crossroads and a pizza place I am sure to visit again! Aside from pizza, they also offer soup, salads and chicken wings.
