This cute little bagel place was perfect. They had a small menu, but enough to satisfy everyone’s cravings for sure. Their baked goods are amazing too. Definitely recommend their cinnamon twist! I had the Nova Lox – you know a bagel place is good when their smoked salmon is good too! And the prices were good! Would definitely come back for sure.

I have to start with there process of ordering, it’s really old school and can be disastrous if busy. I ordered a multi grain bagel with plain cream cheese the cream cheese taste like tofu more than cream cheese it must be a cheap brand it was also sort of warm, is anyone taking temperatures it should be 41degrees or colder. The service was a bunch of kids not really taking business serious-joking around and taking there time wrapping my bagel the floor was also very dirty. The coffee was good the bagel was sort of sweet which I couldn’t figure out why, unless I got the wrong bagel. Not impressive.

So, surprisingly enough, I don’t pass any «real» bagel shoppes on my way to work. In NJ! I can’t believe it, either.
That being said, this place is right by my job, so I decided to stop.
Located next door to Royal Grill, Manhattan Bagel is (unless you’ve been under a rock) a chain bagel shoppe. It’s small, limited seating but smells like carb and coffee heaven inside.
I had no issues with really anything with the place, aside from how they process the order. You don’t order, pay, get your receipt and grab your food. You order, they give you a hand written receipt, you eventually get your food and then you pay. The whole system made my head spin that early in the morning.
Other than that, I thought for a chain, the food was ok and prepared well. I just don’t know that I would go there that early again. Dealing with their process of service was just too annoying. (And I realize this sounds like a first world problem, but it’s Unilocal!)

Service and food is fantastic! I go here almost every weekend and our cashier, Larry, always welcomes us with a huge smile and makes my order perfect! Would definitely recommend.
