I love this place! Indoor or outdoor seating, wine specials, live music, outside wine when the town has local festivals… etc. Grab some ice cream from Nonnies next door or an app from Brautigams Bar-N-Grill on the other side. Enjoy it outside with some great wine from The Empty Glass. They also have a nice menu to enjoy inside, as well.

Fantastic place! Great wine and atmosphere is peaceful. My kids can have ice cream from nonnies next door and I can have my favorite wine fire road. We all sit outside. During festivals you can lay out a blanket and have wine from empty glass. Live music on the weekends and always a friendly staff.

I just love this place. Very cute and huge selection of wine. Bartender was great for a recommendation. Had the jumbo shrimp and Mac and cheese which was amazing.

I think it is a great wine bar for what it is. It isn’t overly fancy but isn’t too casual. They have a good selection of wines. They have a couple beers on tap and some in bottle and a small food selection. The wines are good, not great but they work. The selection is a bit limited but this is a smaller wine bar so that makes sense. They only have a couple beers on tap and out of the 3 times we have been here the taps have never worked so we ended up either ordering bottles of beer or just drinking wine. This is no bueno. We have never tried the food but it smells good and looks ok. Overall we will go back for a casual night out.

Come here on occasion with my husband. Outdoor seating area very cute and cozy. We always get the flights to try different wines and then buy the glass that we like. Prices are decent. Some nights they have live bands. Staff very attentive and never a bad visit, would return.

I’m actually a white wine drinker(Moscato and Riesling) but thought I’d give red wine a try since it has been several years since I’ve tried to adapt my palette to a red wine. After going to a few places to see if wine tasting was available, we found«The Empty Glass»( ) located in Tomball. It was perfect‼! Not only is it in a cute and quaint building, service was more than I could have ever expected. We walked in and sat at one of the tables and was greeted by a very nice young lady. We explained to her our goal and she was very wiling to help us. In all I tried 4 samples of red wine and found just the right flavor. The winner is, «Fall Creek „Ed’s Smooth Red“ CV Tow, TX» and in second place is Miranda Lambert, Red 55 «Belle» CV Lindale, TX. They also serve food as well and have a restaurant next door with a full menu. If you’re not a wine drinker, there’s beer on tap as well.

Super cute! I love how it’s hidden away from the main street(FM2920) but only by 1 block. The front walkway to The Empty Glass is very inviting and cozy with soft lighting at night. It was pretty romantic which was just what my husband and I were in the mood for. I’m not sure what is next to it since we went at night when I was tired and just wanted to check out TEG but there were people coming and going from what I assumed was a restaurant. While I’m sure there’s nothing wrong with a nearby eatery and we did not eat at TEG ourselves — the food on the menu looked yummy! We had just filled up somewhere else so we didn’t get a chance to try anything. The prices looked pretty common for winery food. $ 18 for 4 cheeses with breads/crackers, etc. They also had plenty of sandwich, meat tray, and appetizer options but we were just too full to try anything right at that time. I love how they have a lot of county/Texas wines. They had a Miranda Lambert option in different types which I thought was pretty neat. I asked for a taste because we weren’t sure we wanted a whole bottle. Some places make you feel trashy for asking but the wine steward was great and readily gave us a taste which sold us a bottle. His presentation was perfect. OFCOURSE I saved my receipt to remember his name because I knew I was going to write a review and really wanted to give him a shout-out and make sure everyone knows he gives great service. Not pushy but really takes care of you. OFCOURSE I lost my receipt even though I have receipts in my purse from 2013. I remember his name starts with a K(from what my receipt said, it could have been the female behind the bar as well). Skinny guy with dark hair and his name starts with a K working Friday night(6÷19÷15) — you’re great and I appreciate you! Service really matters to me and even if a place is amazing, crappy service will be the reason I never go back. Also — there is a gentleman in the background playing a guitar and singing folksy music which makes this place exactly where I want to relax every Friday night. Even though it kind of sucks they are closed on Mondays — TEG is perfect for date nights, girls nights, ANY nights.

Wasn’t what I expected. I heard they had good food so we went for a dinner date and they had very little on the menu and what we did order they didn’t have. They were out of some of the cheeses for the plate and others were not defrosted. The wine was good though. Most likely won’t be returning.

Great little wine dive in the heart of Tomball. The wine selection is amazing, and dedicated to showcasing Texas wines. There are several wine flight options to chose from, and an abundance of wines by both the bottle or glass. The décor is chic hill country, and it has a laid back feel. Staff was helpful and ready to bring us any drink we ordered. The downfall of this place is the food. A small menu with Panini, salads and flatbread pizzas would be just what you want in a place such as this. Unfortunately the execution and preparation of everything ordered was a disappointment. The«Panini» that came out to the table actually resembled two slices of cardboard filled with a tiny amount of veggies and pressed, unfortunately that is exactly what it tasted like as well. The Flatbreads were just a bit better but still lacking in flavor overall. Sadly, the food is a huge miss. A great place for a glass of wine or even a Texas beer, both bottled and a small amount of rotating seasonal drafts. Loved the atmosphere, and that is what rates a four star review. Go for a drink, stay for the comfortable setting, skip the food.

First time here — saw it an article in Community Impact and decided to try it out. We sat in the main bar area, nice atmosphere. We had good service and the bartender was very nice. Shared a meat/cheese combo plate and added a spinach salad. Both were very good — there were olives, pecans and grapes on the meat and cheese plate too. Lots of wine flights to choose from — I am usually a Pinot Noir girl, but it is so hot that I tried the Texas Sweet & Sassy Whites flight. All were good and not too sweet(they had a Moscato flight if you were seeking sweet). Pizzas were decent — crispy crust. Menu says they make their red sauce. They also had paninis and some other apps. Would be great if they add on some bigger meals, even just on certain nights. In any case, we enjoyed it and will be back. We live in The Woodlands, but Tomball isn’t far and gives us a different feel from wine bars in our area.

Tomball has a cool place to hang out and drink wine with friends that isn’t full of annoying 21 year olds!!! Love it!!!

What an awesome place! We’ve been here a few times and you can really have it all; a quiet date night, listening to some live music, and we’ve even been there to watch the game on the patio. Excellent wine selection, including Inwood Estates and the cheese/meat trays and food is always great. Highly recommend!

Awesome place. Great wine selection with a very good wine club. Owner is very friendly and staff is very accommodating. Food selection is amazing for a wine bar. Almost a little bit of a restaurant feel where you could bring the entire family for an early dinner. Home made desserts are great as well. We were there on a Friday evening and it was nice to have live music. We will be back… often.

Just an evening out– We, the bride, boys and sweet Cynthia, stopped by for some vino and well, more vino. It’s not a winery per se’. It’s a nice lace to drink wine. They feature Texas wines from far and wide. The atmosphere is pretty nice. Sat nights they provide live music and that guy played his ass off. Very accomplished. ‘Course the selection is decent. The service is very attentive. It’s pretty laid back. The down side is it’s pretty expensive for an area like Tomball. The TV was set on Dateline on a Saturday night. Saturday night and Dateline is on the TV at a winery. The sound was not turned up, no closed captioning. Think people. And there«was a baby. … In a bar.»

We just returned from Sunday brunch at Empty Glass and I have to say I’m disappointed… I really wanted to like this place because I am a total wine snob and it’s not far from home. The atmosphere and décor are 5 star and the waitress was quite sweet. So where did Empty Glass lose me? Let me count the ways: 1. Food-The breakfast was blah. My husband’s eggs came out cold and had to be sent back. Not sure why they bothered with brunch and I think should probably just stick to being a wine place. 2. Prices for wine-The brunch prices were low, so at least we weren’t paying a lot for our meh meal. But we took a look at the usual by the glass and bottle wine prices and… Holy overpriced wine, Batman! 3. Customer service-As I mentioned, the waitress was nice and I have no complaints there. However, there was also a manager/supervisor there who was less than impressive. We were the only customers in the place the entire time we were there(should have probably paid attention to that) and still we were mostly ignored by this person. Even when I got up to look at bottles of wine and mentioned we were in another wine club, he did not chat with us or even smile. He never came by to apologize or check in after my husband had to send his food back. I am a wine person, having found a love for it while living in California, and have been to a lot of wineries and wine bars in my time. To be the only customers in a place like this and not have the manager-type talking wine or trying to get us to come back for music or a tasting(I know they regularly have both) is just strange. Instead…nothing… Sigh…did I mention I was disappointed?

The location and inside is A+ quality. Walked into a nicely decorated, date night environment and was pleasantly surprised. A Karaōke dude was set up playing some country songs — — kinda strange for a wine bar environment. We ordered 2 wine flights and after 10 minutes, I went to the bar to check on status. Discovered staff searching for wines and had ‘deer in headlights’ look on their faces. I offered to change the order, but our waitress said they were substituting a wine they were out of. Never really heard which wine got switched. Staff were dressed professional in appearance, but could tell quickly they were clueless about the wines they were serving. Might be a good training place for future Brix employees in Vintage Park. Drop the karaōke guy and get some training and customer service lessons to the staff and this place will be ok. Loved the 10% discount received after checking in on Unilocal, but didn’t use it as I was certain it would have caused our waitress to google friends for help.
