My girlfriend and I found this place on Unilocal. We were looking for a place to take my parents to wine taste after we celebrated my mothers birthday dinner. We decided to wing it and stop by this place. We are glad we did! I am EXTREMELY picky when it comes to bars and restaurants, and this place met all of my expectations. It is a very private, cozy, clean and classy little bar located in a nice area of Toluca Lake. The service was excellent. Hannah helped us, she was great! Many regulars actually stopped by for a drink, everyone was so friendly. Great vibes. The wine choices are great as well. They have wines that are made by smaller wineries, stuff you cannot find in stores. Overall we had a great experience. I would not hesitate to come back, and I suggest you visit this place as well! Stumbled across this place on my way to the tavern next door… Never made it there! Place is cute, wine is good and the service is friendly! They also have some small plates to enjoy with your wine. Will be back again!

Great spot in Toluca Lake. Doug and Scott are great, we have had nothing but friendly service when here. Great wine selections, nice snacks and fun ambiance. Glad they are in the neighborhood!

Really great low key wine bar & retail. I’ve been a few times now & it’s strange but every single person that come’s into that place is laid back & cool. If you’re not a «wine person» per say like me the main man Doug’s extensive knowledge never disappoints. So cool place, cool vibrant neighbourhood, cool people & Doug. That’s a win/win/win etc!

I hate that it took me so long to get back into this place. But I finally did, and I am returning two more stars. I went around 5pm the other day and started with a white riesling and then enjoyed a syrah from Paso. In both instances I gave a flavor profile I was after, and they nailed it each time. I enjoyed a seat by the window this time around and also ordered the crostini and cheese. I will say, part of me wished it was pita chips for some reason. But regardless it was still tasty. I still stand by my initial review as far as ambiance goes. But as far as a great wine bar in the area. It is a great little spot. My apologies again for taking so long to pop back in. I will indeed return.

Nice little spot to stop in for some wine… Came in with friends to kill some time and was glad I did. The owner, Doug, was friendly and knowledgeable. I let him choose my wine flight(3 glasses for $ 15.00), and he did not disappoint. Mind you, it was mid day when we stopped in, so it was very casual and not crowded at all. I could see how seating might be an issue on a crowded night because it is very small, but who cares? I do not think they are trying to be a place to party or dance on the bar. Their goal seems to be to provide a nice, cozy place to enjoy some wine and the company of a few friends/strangers. In my opinion, they accomplish that goal quite nicely. Highly recommended.

Amazing, hot, classy place. Come relax, enjoy a birthday, celebrate a friendship, meet nice folk, or meet maybe meet me. I know I have a new watering hole.

More like 3.5 stars, with room to grow. I guess I expected it to be more of a place to hang out rather than a place to get in and get out. It is absolutely a great place to find an interesting bottle of wine at all price points to impress guests at the next dinner party that you attend. But as a place you want to come to stay a while? Not so much. I’d love for it to have a warmer, more inviting ambience to encourage guests to linger and lounge a while. There is bar seating and a great bay window spot at the front, but if all of those areas are taken, the little seats and tables set up along the back near the retail area(where we ended up) feels pretty out of place and far removed from the main attraction(the bar). The crowd that was there when we visited were of the more«mature» variety, with the women getting more colorful as their glasses emptied. If you’re in need of a little nibble, they offer a limited amount of bites that are from Wood & Vine in Hollywood. The staff is pleasant and hospitable, and I think with more time and tweaks it will be a nice place to chill out when in Toluca Lake. Definitely a place to check out for yourself — I’m sure the experience varies depending on the night. If you’re lucky, grad a seat at the bar or the bay window.

First time in Toluca Lakes and it was a pleasure to meet Doug! Doug is extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk with! The selection is extensive and Doug will help you get exactly what you want. Go here to chill and enjoy your afternoon! The wine is great and the food is tasty too(light appetizers). This is a great place to go before dinner or after dinner! I’ll be back! I went, you should go!
