Jill’s On the River Bar & Grill

Went to Jill’s Bar and Grill for tacos… trust me, you don’t want to go there! We ordered 5 tacos, cheese nachos and chips and salsa. We waited more than ½ hour for our food, during which we watched a drug deal in the parking lot and the female had kids in her minivan! Finally got our food… it was terrible! I can’t believe they ‘d actually serve it. Don ‘t go to Jill’s, you’ll be sorry if you do.

Rotten to the core. Wings were small and slightly undercooked. Found a hair in the fries. Place had only 4 customers at the height of dinner hour on a Thursday. That should have been a sign. The two dollar nachos were something I could’ve made in my own kitchen. Round Tostitos on a flat plate covered with melted cheese in the microwave. No side such as sour cream or salsa were provided. The waitress was nice enough to take the wings off of our bill because my wife did not eat them. We did not complain about them she just offered which was very nice we had a great waitress.

Just went to Jill’s and if was packed. However a server called off and left the restaurant a little understaffed. I know this all because the owner explained it to us before we ordered. I was really happy he did because it showed he cared about our wait and prepped our expectations. I was also happy to see that the owner was out on the floor and working the tables helping during a high traffic time.
Our order was supposed to be out after 45minutes because they were so understaffed. However I can’t imagine it took longer than 30 minutes and was probably 25 minutes. I imagine if they had their third waitress it would have been a solid 10 minute wait or 15 tops. The large wait time was on the owners mind and told me to please not leave a tip but I refused. So he actually just let the closest waitress take the tip which I say as a very nice notion.
Beyond the great customer service the food was good and well priced. I got a burger and onion rings and it was good. My friend got the same thing and we both really enjoyed our food.
Inside the restaurant is very clean and has a cool décor. Being attached to a Days Inn it has a lot of their architecture and looks pretty cool.
I really enjoyed the food and fantastic customer service. I would definitely recommend it.
