The service was exceptional. Hands down best filet I ever had. We are from Michigan and we were celebrating our anniversary and they treated us like royalty. They even gave us free dessert once they found out it was our anniversary. Truffle mac and cheese was amazing.

Amazing food!!! I went here for my Birthday, the food and the service was amazing!!! The steak was delicious. The wagyu steak was probably the best steak I’ve ever had in my life. The garlic mashed potatoes were good too, as well as the seafood platter. Will definitely be back!

This place was amazing. Easily a 5 star dining experience. The food was top of the line and the serving staff was the best I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing. They were very friendly, professional, prompt and had the best timing I’ve ever seen. As soon as you think«I’m gonna need a refill soon» they were already walking to your table with one. They were fantastic. The décor was very relaxing, inviting and luxurious. The entire experience was 5 stars. The service, the food, the décor and most importantly the people. Be prepared when you book your reservation though. You get what you pay for. I ordered the 10 oz Wagyu Top Cap Ribeye, my wife ordered the 8 oz Filet, and we ordered an a la carte order of mashed potatoes to split. Their sides are huge and made for 2 people. We also ordered 2 desserts of which one was complimentary for my birthday. Plus 2 sodas and the bill was $ 170. We were both more than pleased with our meals. It was amazing and a few of the best steaks we’ve ever had. If you have a special occasion and want a top notch dining experience then Final Cut is a great choice that won’t leave you disappointed.

Amazing dinner from start to end thanks to our server, Air. Appetizers were crab cakes and half shelled oysters. Only complaint, more oysters please! Hands down most delicious 8 oz. Filet cooked medium and flavored to perfection! Then add a little bernaise sauce and you can’t help but eat every last bite. Sides … mushrooms are a must and the whole table can share one order. This restaurant is expensive, but the quality of the food and the attention given from the staff and chef is worth it and reflective of the overall experience.

Wow! The filet with bernaise sauce was amazing! I had the 8oz and ate every last bite. He had the 12 oz filet with the house sauce and also loved it! We ordered Mac n cheese, asparagus and mushrooms for sides, in addition to the lobster popcorn and shrimp cocktail appetizers. Shrimp cocktail was awesome, lobster popcorn was good, mushrooms and asparagus were great, but the Mac n cheese wasn’t as good as we expected. It doesn’t have a leg to stand on compared to Rockwell’s. The Marilyn Monroe martini is chocolate cherry and deeeelish! Besides the Mac n cheese, the only other opportunity for improvement is the service.

Can’t say enough good things about this place! It’s great, we start the evening in the casino with a couple of drinks then we move into Final Cut for an excellent dinner and equal service! We did our anniversary here last year and I went all out, even though I could have put a down payment on a new car with what I spent, my wife said that it was possibly our best anniversary! Here’s my only problem, I now have to take her on a cruise on the«oasis of the seas» to top final cut! I would and have recommended this place to everyone!

Now I know this place is decent, but here is my review based on our visit. Made reservations weeks in advance for a booth. We get there and they tell us no booths are available and they make no effort to find one. Not a great start. Amuse bouche was flavorless artichoke heart, French onion soup was inedible(i have had better at an airport), my pork belly was 99% fat. I know fat is important in that dish, but it was a plate of coagulated mess. The ribeye was meh and also super fatty(above and beyond the normal that is left on a cut) and the lamb chops were just okay. Shrimp appetizer was overcooked and chewy. Never again. I get that someone probably comes here and thinks they are big time because there are 5 people hovering over you, but that’s just annoying. Oh, and to the poster who complained because they would not let him in because he wasn’t wearing a collar — there was a guy the next table over in a T-SHIRT!!! This place seems to have opened well and now take it all for granted.

Oh my! Dinner last night with friends. Started with crab cakes and lobster bisque which both were shared with my wife. Bisque was one of the best I have had and crab cakes were also very good. Caesar salad was very good, just the right amount of dressing also. Wagyu ribeye was awesome with sides of crispy brussels and lobster risotto were excellent. Bo our server did a great job. I felt the prices were very reasonable with the exception of the wine list which I thought was a bit high. We will be back!

We went to Hollywood Casino for a Birthday. First step was to register for a player card. We won«dinner for two» with a $ 200 limit. Without drinks or second dessert, we managed to run the bill to $ 155. before tip. She had lobster bisque to start. I sampled it. We agreed it was amazing. My Caesar Salad was also excellent. Our main entres were prime filet and free range chick breasts. My filet was melt in the mouth good. Her chicken was excellent. Service was attentive from a team of about five. Empty dishes removed very promptly and the timing of our multiple courses perfect. A great meal with one small exception. The add-on grilled shrimp were tough, possibly overcooked.

My husband and I went to Final Cut last night for the first time. Why did we wait this long to go?! Is was amazing. We had the seafood platter and cheese plate apps, filets, and the ‘candy bar’ for dessert. The entire wait staff was on top if their game Can’t wait to go back!

I was turned away for not wearing a collard shirt. It was a polo sweater. Have you seen the other people in the casino? How stupid can they be? I heard it’s the same people that screwed up raceway park for Toledo. Real classy owners.

An excellent gourmet restaurant located and hurt the Hollywood Casino. Be it steaks or seafood food here is superb. I ordered the special which was grilled salmon which was cooked and served to perfection. The service is also superb. The prices are high and you can figure about $ 70 per plate not including tip. This includes three of us having drinks. All in all an excellent dining experience experience albeit very expensive, but then you finish and then can enjoy the beautiful Hollywood Casino

Did I ever think I would ever taste a steak that rivals Jeff Ruby’s? No, but Final Cut proved me wrong. The quality of the steaks were amazing. I got the Prime Filet, and it was tender, cooked to perfection, a delicious crust, and it melted in my mouth. There were several complimentary steak sauces, including the Hollywood Steak Sauce(my favorite), but honestly, the steak did not need a sauce. I also tried the Frite(honestly the best calmari I have ever had). Sides included garlic mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. I loved how the creamed spin aced what not too creamy. Finally, I tried the New York Cheesecake which had the perfect amount of fluff, fruity topping, and creamy goodness. Best steak I have had in Toledo, and one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Try it i f you have not tried it before.

This is my fourth visit to Final Cut. Happy to say that after all previous visits seemed to disappoint, this visit did not. Everything was perfect. Server was outstanding, and all appetizers and entrees were superb. On this visit, it lived up to all expectations, and I look forward to returning

I’ve been here twice and was impressed both times! The staff was superb and the food was beyond amazing! I would highly recommend the French Fries as a side item, they have to be the best I have ever had in my life! Also do not skip dessert, try whatever is seasonal and not on the menu if they give you a choice. My last visit, I had tried an amazing homemade made-to-order ice cream! I was already full but it was so good, I had to eat it all. Overall it can be a little pricy, but it is so worth it! Update — I’m not sure what happened to the amazing side dishes and desserts I have had here before. My latest visit was not so amazing. The only good thing I had was my steak. Very disappointed. Will not be back, try Scene instead. I have never had a bad lunch/dinner there.

The only reason I’m not giving this place an extra star is because their menu is very limited for the simple picky eater such as myself. They had more side options than actual entrees. The entrée that my friend had was the sea bass with a sugary sour glaze, pan seared then in the oven type of dish. I had the trio of cheeses appetizer, and the chop salad without the bacon of course. The chop salad was just right. It was almost prepared like a Mexican salad. It had red onions, chic peas(garbanzo beans), fried corn, some greens… I can’t wait to go back and have some more. The wedge of cheese that came with the salad was so very strong. Left that piece alone.

Stunning! Preface: Yeah for Toledo. Right there and on par with Ruth Chris’s, Morton’s, Capital Grille, Smith & W’s all located in larger markets than the Glass City. I am not sure if this is owned/operated by Penn, the casino owner, or the space is rented out but this proprietor deserves a congratulations to what was probably a tough sell — that a five star restaurant could thrive in the Toledo-area. Gutsy and it pays off each time I go back. It has honestly ruined all other Toledo-area Steak or fine dining establishes for me. I mean I’m constantly comparing some other establishments poor service, inconsistent quality, etc, to my experiences at Final Cut. Details: I’ve dined here four times since it opened through this review. For each experience, it has always been for«an occasion» — a birthday, an anniversary, new job, and a special family holiday dinner. In every experience, I made reservations via the Open-Table App on my iPhone. I have had near immediate response back from Final Cut confirming my reservations and the Maitre D’ was expecting my party as expected. I have only ever ordered the steak at Final Cut but my other party members ordered and gushed over what appeared to be very, very fresh seafood dishes. They have two levels of steak, a served on a sizzling broil plate or the Prime cuts that are the best 2% graded cuts of meat. Personally, I love the sizzling plate presentation(similar to Ruth Chris’s presentation) so I’ve only ever ordered one of these cuts. If you like or even love French Onion Soup, as I do, you have to let your diner mates order a starter or salad but you need to order the French Onion Soup. It’s near perfect to the best French Onion Soup I ever ate(my Mom’s). It really is amazing and it comes loaded with mixed onions, topped with mixed cheeses, all in a large stainless crock so it keeps its high heat throughout your gasps of «OOH» and«Amazing», which you will blurt out to your table mates. They will also bring a Chef’s plate(complimentary sample dish) with a stellar bread basket. The bread basket contains the strangest looking, ultra thin homemade cracker that has to greatest flavor to it. The last two times I dined here, they also showcased a butter plate presentation and a salt presentation. Both add to the fun of the dining experience and if you partake, you will find that you might really enjoy a pinkish salt that owns its tint to some clay that is mixed in with the salt. A truffle-oil butter will cause fights around a large table if you’re running low. If you order a steak entrée, they will bring out a rather weighty steak knife. We noticed that the knife has no typical serrated point to it. We were amazed to fine that the steaks come so tender that we thought it was the mere weight of the knife that simply carved through the meat with simple ease. The sides are à la carte and family-style. Two to three people could easily share a side. I’ve since tried each side and I can attest to the lyonnaise potatoes being the best choice. A baked potato side is the size of a junior football so I find it tough to enjoy quick enough without the opened potato loosing its warmth. The asparagus is also stellar. The Mac n’ Cheese is one of the best you will ever have. It’s clam shell pasta and an aged white cheddar sauce with a toasted panko crust. I’ve since ordered double Mac n’ Cheese sides for my larger parties with nothing left in the end. Even though you may think you have no room for dessert. They make an Apple skillet dish which is a pleasing bookmark to an amazing dinner. Their house coffee is wonderful. Order a French Press Pot for the table and your companions will thank you warmly for introducing them to this establishment. — Looking forward to returning very soon! Miscellaneous things: — Because there is not a separate entrance for the Final Cut. Once you park in the parking structure and go through door security, immediately head left and hug the wall till you pass a food shop and the buffet, till you come to the elevated entrance to Final Cut. I only disclose this because for most of my dinning occasions, we either weren’t interested in the casino or were going to enjoy it following the meal as means to walk our meals off. — I have always worn a jacket but you may find jeans here because of the casual casino attire. This is just a heads-up that I dined here in warmer weather and saw a table in shorts. Not what I would do but fair warning! — I have dined here for a date night idea. The casino has a sports bar but I wanted something more polished, where we could hear each other talk so Final Cut is a great place to grab a fancy cocktail, get out of the casino noise, and enjoy your company maybe over a dessert only.

WOW! We decided to pop in the new Hollywood casino’s dining options. Our plan was to check out the buffet but once we got there the Menu at final cut was calling our names. Long story short, the food and atmosphere are both steller. Really really high quality and top notch preparation. We started with the blue cheese fondu app which was filling and very flavorful. We were served some great bread accompanied by some lovely truffled butter which I could not get enough of. My wife and I tried two signature cocktails. My drink was made with champagne, gin and lemon. Holy smokes it was refreshing. We were surprised with an amuse bouche of smoked scallop topped with a frozen mustard sauce. YUM! For dinner my wife had a 10oz filet and I had the brined pork chop. The steak was expertly prepared as was my pork. I will say it was on the salty side, but I like salt so it’s not a complaint. Just keep that in mind if you aren’t super into salt. All sides are ala carte, and the bill can rack up very quickly. But goodness gracious the food was divine. Our waitress Laure was attentive and friendly. Our table was also visited by a few others who were all really really nice. The casino has done a faaaaantastic job with staffing this place. The restaurant was swanky and very old school. They had some old hollywood memorabilia in glass cases and the walls were made of beautiful wood panels. There is a surprisingly nice view of the maumee river, but other than that… there is absolutely no clue you are in Toledo. Final cut is instantly on our list of favorite places to eat in the city. Expensive? Very much so. Worth it? Very much so.
