Great little stop when riding with the hubby on the motorcycle. Plenty of food options whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Prices are reasonable too. Just make sure to have cash, no credit card, but so affordable you won’t have to hit the piggy bank. Staff is friendly and ready to serve. Just pull in parking lot slow it is a little bumpy.

Great place. From the outside we weren’t sure what to expect when we pulled up to grab a bite to eat after a hike through Washington Crossing Park. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious – especially the salads. It was a great find and I look forward to going back when it’s warmer for some ice cream.

Good food. Especially the white pizza. But no credit cards? Really? Will give 5 stars if you change name to Deez Nuts.

This quaint, old timey restaurant is located just a few minutes from Washington Crossing, PA. It’s a bit beat up, somewhat grimy, the parking lot is dusty and unfinished, and the noise level was achingly loud. In some way, it felt like we wandered onto an old set from the Dukes of Hazzard. I thought a place like this, one that’s been around for years, would have had some great greasy spoon type eats. But our lunch was a letdown. Burger and fries were average and the burger wasn’t cooked as requested. The bun was straight out of a cellophane bag. The Cuban sandwich was good, but they slathered the thing in so much garlic mayo we couldn’t detect any other flavors or textures. So, not bad for a garlic mayo sandwich, but we kind of missed tasting the pork loin, ham and Swiss. Not a bad spot by any means, but really not worth a visit unless you are in the immediate area and need a quick meal. I guess I was kind of thrown by the fact that It’s Nutts has been around for decades. I assumed it had some great food to offer. In hindsight though, it seems that they’re getting by on former glory and the fact that there are limited eating options in the area. 2.5 stars rounded up to 3 because of very friendly and accommodating service.

Better up the ante if you really expect to be on «Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives» Lots of solid lunch options: greek salads, sandwich platters. HOWEVER: there are lots of disappointments notably the«famous tomato pies» and special pancakes for breakfast(the ‘delicious’ apple pancake option was basically a bisquick pancake with a couple of apple slivers in it. AND… they wouldn’t hard boil a couple of eggs for me…“we can’t do that.” Anyway, It’s Nutts is a good, quirky diner that can surprise(thats good and bad). I’m being reasonable(maybe the word should be ‘kind’) in giving«It’s Nutts» * * *‘s Two and a half might be more accurate.

Went for breakfast, and it was a decent meal, but it didnt knock my socks off. I had the mushroom crêpe, which had a nice light batter that was cooked evenly, but the«carmelized» onions were lightly fried at best. The gravy it came with was thick and savory and complimented the crêpe nicely. I thought the accompanying potatos were average, and lacked any sort of explosive seasoning. The rest of the table ordered omelettes, which were also decent, but I like my omelettes to not be cooked a second longer than necessary. For those that like their eggs a little crispier or cooked a little longer, the omelettes are for you. The styling and decorations inside gave it a quaint«home-cooked» feel, and the service was friendly. Id be interested in trying some of their other menu items to see if they live up to the hype.

Stopped in for a personal pizza to go — It was good. i asked for hot peppers which was a mistake because my mouth was on fire! But it was good overall. Personally I enjoy a crispier crust but overall very good. The ice cream was delicious! I had chocolate raspberry. Very rich and flavorful.

We all love this small place on picturesque Route 29. The food is incredible at a very fair price. The thin crust pizza Del mar is so good we stop there at least once a week just to get our fill. This summer, an ongoing special is the Green Tomato Salad which has the freshest green tomatoes and fresh basil and provolone cheese. The staff is courteous and quick without bothering you in the least. Don’t let the building scare you about how good it is going to be. It really is very good, very fresh and very well priced and staffed. They even have good seasonal coffee flavors. Lately a pumpkin coffee blend for the fall is well worth a trip. And did I forget they have incredible fried chicken that locals buy in bags to take home every night. Take out is available and quick too.

The first thing you will find here is the energy in this place is just fabulous. Probably because of the staff and the location. As of the food it’s not astonishing for sure but you will not have anything to complain, the only problem is hey accept only cash. strange! Went here about 3 – 4 times, for me the best part was the pink colada raspberry soda :) that was just awesome. Definitely recommend for an early morning brunch/breakfast or the evening snack. Good job!

Interesting little place. From the outside it do not look to shappy. And if you do not know it is there. You will drive right by it. They have, seating outside that’s under a canopy and seating inside. You get the feel that it is a family own. The staff is very friendly and takes the time to actually talk to you on a personal level if you like. They give you amble food for your buck. And the food is very good. This is the idea place to eat at coming from your morning walk across the street from the Washington Crossing Park. This is a breakfast, lunch and dinner place and the accept do not accept debit or credit cards. Only cash and personal checks. Interesting. This place is winner for me.

We ordered fried chicken it’s ok nothing special but their tomato pie is really good a must try! Service was average our seever seems to be in a hurry. The free ice cream that’s advertise when you check in with entrée was not honored for lunch she said it’s for dinner. In conclusion it was just okay I’ll come back for the pie though.

Well the name says it all, «It’s Nutts» I’ve been here quite a few times, sometimes it’s great, sometimes it’s not. You never know from visit to visit. The food is generally good, and this place is a local favorite. The ice cream is good. It’s not always the venue that’s at issue, one day you have a fine relaxing bite before you head up the river road for a drive, another time it could be slammed with families and their young unhinged hungry kids. You roll the dice with this one.

It really is Nutts to come so close to being great, but fall short due to small details that are so easily corrected. Consider the circumstances. ~ Great location on Rt. 29, Titusville, NJ; right along the old canal and the mighty Delware. ~ Cozy countrified space, with the inside a Pocono cabin and the outside a Frenchtown café. ~ Real pizza oven with a solid rep. ~ Creamy ice cream way station for tow path riders and walkers. ~ Diverse menu for 3 meals a day. ~ Hot, black T-shirted staff. So, when I went in this morning for an early 8 am breakfast, had my choice of tables, and my first mug of good coffee, ordering a Spanish Omelet with Home Fries and Rye Toast, this was the result: ~ Very good 3 egg omelet and La Chalula Hot Sauce to spice it up. ~ Yet, two salt shakers and no pepper on the table. ~ Wide cut wholesome toasted Rye Toast that was at best room temperature the moment it reached the table. ~ A large pile of Home Fries, nicely darkened from their time being grilled, that were now at best soft and cool, rather than hot and crisp. ~ $ 2.95 for bottomless coffee. $ 9.95 for the omelet. Nearly $ 16.00 for this missed opportunity for perfection. It is Nutts to have all these self inflicted wounds detract from a near perfect setting, and a kitchen that comes so close to getting it right… But, doesn’t.

Best homemade ice cream around, great small pizzas and friendly staff. Highly recommended for any meal but a nice day eating outside for lunch is my preference or just for an after dinner treat.

Rode past many times always saying we’re going to stop one day. Well, today we stopped for breakfast while out on the motorcycle. Had the meat lovers omelette that comes with home fries and toast. I chose the rye which was cut thick(4 pieces). Home fries were very tasty. Overall very filling! Has a nice homey feel with an outside patio option. Will definitely be back to try other things on the menu.

I can only review for the ice cream on this because we only got sundaes. The ice cream itself is good, however, they hardly had any of the toppings that were listed on the menu, and also didn’t have any soft serve or custard that was listed on the menu. No hot fudge. What?! Noooo. Our waitress was great. I felt bad because she honestly tried to make it as best as she could for us knowing that’s all we came there for. So if you’re looking for ice cream in the middle of the winter, go across the bridge to New Hope.

Lazy Saturday lunch. I decided to try their«famous fried chicken». I’ve been before and had their good tomato pie. I ordered 2 thighs that come with fries and cole slaw. Service was friendly and prompt. The platter looked lovely until I looked closely at the thighs. Someone had to search long and hard to find chickens just a wee bit bigger than cornish game hens. Most thighs fit about the palm of my hand. One and a half of these could easily fit in that space. I don’t think the thigh bone was much more than 2 inches on either of them. It’s a shame the chicken was so tiny, because they were perfectly fried and seasoned. I could have eaten 2 more thighs! The French fries were batter coated and delicious; the slaw was homemade and very tasty. Other than dealing with a surly counter guy who told me 4 separate times he’d be right with me when I tried to pay(helping everyone else seemed to be his priority), my experience was very good. Wonder why they are serving chicken like that? I’d rather pay another dollar and get a reasonable portion of economizing is their goal.

Nutts has such awesome things on their menu that I want to try it all! I mean a crab omelet, a chorizo omelet, famous fried chicken, fried pickles, buffalo pizza, Mexican pizza… the description on all these items make them sound great. I’ve been her twice and was really not impressed with breakfast… I will continue to come and find what I love though, because lunch seems more like appealing to me. My hubby-to-be loves the pancakes and omelets though(especially the chorizo one). My recommendation if you love spicy food: Buffalo chicken pizza. SUPER spicy food that is… the buffalo chicken pizza will make a grown man cry. I normally like spicy food, and buffalo sauce is one of those things that varies so much in heat depending on the place. Well, this place definitely PACKS the heat! It came out of the kitchen bubbling with red sauce and I needed a milkshake to get past the first slice. If you are sharing an appetizer: Baked Junkyard fries — gross name, but sooo good! They have cheese, chorizo, melted cheese, sour cream and all sorts of amazingness! I think if I ever end up pregnant, this is what my fetus and I would constantly crave. I would skip: Denver scramble. which sounds delicious with Sauteed Potatoes, Mushrooms, Onions and Peppers, Topped with Cheddar Cheese and 2 Scrambled Eggs… but it’s not. The potatoes were not seasoned with any pepper or salt, and everything is just thrown together like a bad batch of hash browns. Also, it’s a small portion compared to the other breakfast platters, so plan accordingly. I will definitely be returning to try their famous chicken, and the service is always friendly and just overall there is something very inviting about the place… especially their outside area in a cool summer day.
