Always enjoy taking my family on a bike ride on the D&R Canal. Patriots Crossing is a great place post ride. Right on the canal, and overlooking the Delaware River and the hallowed ground where Gen Washington crossed the river enroute to Trenton. Great selection of burgers and sandwiches. My picky 10 year old likes it. The deck offers the best view. Staff always friendly. Big thumbs up!

went on a busy Friday night, and sat outside. Great view across the river. Burger was decent. Service was really poor, the wheels were coming off, they are way understaffed.

Small friendly place with tasty food. We like sitting on the back deck in the summer. It looks over the Delaware river. Delicious cannolis great burgers. Prices are slightly high, but the food is good.

Staff was friendly and service was good. It was evident that they used fresh ingredients in the dishes, but the taste was OK, not great. Was there on a rainy night so the view of the river and bridge wasn’t good, however I’m sure it’s a plus in pleasant weather. My biggest complaint — I think their entrees were priced a few bucks more than a comparable restaurant.

Stopped in after a day long motorcycle ride up in Bucks County checking out the covered bridges. Sat at the bar and ordered up some grub. I got the«Jersey Burger». Hand made burger with Pork Roll, lettuce, tomato, onion and cheese. Came with fries and a slab of pickle. Cooked to my order and very tasty. Had a Sam Adams Octoberfest as my brew. Service was quick and pleasant. This was my second time visiting. Will return again if I am in the area. They have great wifi speeds. The best I have seen at any other place.

Stopped in after doing a ride on the motorcycle. Found good parking for the bikes. At dinner at the bar and ordered a French onion burger well done. Was cooked just like I asked and the used top of the line beef. Friends were happy with their orders as well. Hubby was thrilled with WIFI best any where.

We have been back since my last review(7/4, this time) and there is a new chef. There was a pierogi app special and they were amazing! I am Slavic and am always bummed that nowhere makes good pierogi around here, so I was excited when the owner said the chef makes them from scratch. They were incredible! They had fried onion and bacon on top and the dough was handmade and rustic. I want some now! We also had some perfectly cooked burgers. My mom was also back last week and she said she had some of the best crab cakes she has ever had. I am hoping this is a sign of a return to form! We will keep coming and trying out the specials.

Good food and a pleasant Sunday evening out on the deck slightly diminished by spotty service and a loud party of guys goaded on by another server. Let begin by saying that the food, once ordered and completely served, was very good. A nice blend of flavors, properly cooked pasta, well prepared shrimp. Our service, however, was not very good. After being seated with menus, we sat for 10 minutes while another group was seated, their drink orders taken and delivered until I went to the hostess and asked that a server be sent. Eventually, one did, gave the off-hand ‘sorry’ and asked if we wanted to order anything. We ordered both drinks and food. Drink and appetizer came moderately quickly, but main dishes took a long time to arrive and when they did, one dish –a quinoa salad – was missing the shrimp that had been ordered. After another 5 – 10 minutes, the shrimp arrived as well. In the meantime, at the table adjacent to our 6 to 7 young patrons were especially loud but made even more so by the antics of the server who’s ‘stichk’ was to spout out banter in a pseudo-Swiss/German accent evoking loud guffaws of the patrons. Once might have been fine, but he went through the same routine each time he returned with an order. It got old real quickly. All in all, I recommend Patriots’ Crossing for its food but I hope management tightens up on its service standards.

Not that good and not only did the waitress screw up the order from nachos to just chips and dip, she told us she would take it off and didn’t. Food was so-so at best and the service was slow-slow. No refills on drinks even after she said I’ll be right back with your refills. Cooks in the back were very loud shouting«food is ready» several times and oh yeah cursed numerous times. Flies were a problem because the back door was open on a very hot and humid day for people to eat out back. Chicken and hummus was good but the fries were underdone. Shame on them. Funny thing is that a waitress kept walking by us and stating that she would send over our waitress and it took more than 15 minutes for someone to take our drink order. Not a place we would go back to, just didn’t leave a good taste in our mouths.

We used to love It when they had a different chef and the menu was more than bar food, which is all it is now. Sadly, there isn’t anything gluten free either.

This is our hang out. Being so close to home makes it a no brainer. The food is great too! My fave is the fish and chips… So good. The rest of the menu is typical bar food fare. The best part are my bartenders, Andrew and Farrah! They ROCK!!! And don’t forget, packaged goods to go.

Had to give this place 2 stars and that is only based on the drink menu. The food wasn’t very appealing. We ordered the wings as an appetizer. They came out luke warm and the blue cheese was disgustingly warm, I gagged when I tried it. My son’s chicken fingers had an odd taste and my Reuben was mediocre. I would say to stop in here for a bottle of wine and then travel a little bit up the road to It’s Nutts which is BYOB.

My better half and I decided on this only because it was outdoor seating and the weather was perfect! They had about 12 beers available on draft and plenty more in bottles. Our waitress was so nice and seemed to read our minds! The food was pretty tasty! We started out with the buffalo shrimp, good portion, not too big the hot sauce was very red in color and had a good flavor. I had a salad with a balsamic vinegar, croutons had an overpowering taste. The French dip was mediocre. Will be back the friendly service, the view and the coziness of the restaurant was good!

Yesterday was a gorgeous perfect day(no humidity, yay!) so the hubs & I decided to take a ride in the Jeep with the top down before it gets too cold to do that again. We’re thinking about moving so we’ve been checking out different parts of Hunterdon County. I searched Unilocal for Lambertville & the surrounding areas & found Patriots Crossing. Burgers & riverside dining… off we went! Found the place easily & were greeted as soon as we entered. We decided to sit out back since we don’t watch football(I know… what’s wrong with us?!). The servers were friendly & got our drinks right away. Hubs’ Pepsi tasted like diet so she got him a new one, which tasted like a mix of Pepsi & root beer. He drank water. My «Italian Soda» cocktail was good.(Licor 43, vanilla vodka & ginger ale.) He ordered a cheeseburger & I got the fried catfish. The food didn’t take long to come out & we were surprised at the portion sizes. It had to be a 10oz burger. My catfish took up the whole plate. His burger was juicy & he seemed to enjoy it. I really liked my catfish. It was panko-breaded & not greasy at all. The coleslaw was alright… a little too much mayo for my liking. Fries didn’t have skin on, so I have to guess come frozen & are not hand-cut. Overall, we were satisfied with our meal & everyone was friendly. The prices seem a little high, but the quality was good. The view from the deck is very pretty. It’s really nice to watch all the families cycling by the canal & the river. Afterward we crossed the bridge to New Hope to walk off the meal. If they open a deli, it would be nice to grab a sandwich & have picnic in Washington’s Crossing Park. We’re liking Hunterdon more & more.

I must give 2 separate ratings for the bar vs food aspect of Patriots Crossing. 5 stars for the bar/nightlife area 2 stars for food I’ve come here on several occasions at night and had the pleasure of a lively crowd and cheap drinks. They usually have a live band too, which has yet to disappoint. The crowd is pretty mixed, mostly locals, but everyone is very friendly. So I finally came in to get some food one day, ordered the $ 5 spring rolls on the happy hour special which were very cute, but clearly bought at shop right and just dipped in grease. I didn’t have very high hopes for a happy hour menu, but I did for the pulled pork sandwich. SADLY, a sandwich that looked amazing at another table turned out to be barely worth eating. The pulled pork was dry, it was the first time ever that I had pulled pork that wasn’t moist. There was a HUGE heaping amount of meat, but for nothing. It had fried onion on top that made it even drier. Thankfully the onion rings were great! My beau had the Arizona chicken sandwich and that was a little better. But essentially it was a chicken club sandwich. I am willing to give their food another try. It looks as if the wings were great and the fish and chips… so maybe I should’ve read more reviews before ordering. Hopefully mine will help you avoid some stuff!

Patriots Crossing is a great place for good and inexpensive food, and the view by the water is not bad either. We love to linger and relax on these lazy summer days. Our family has been here 3 times during the past year, not once we have been disappointed. The best parts are the wings, my husband loves the fish and chips, I myself enjoy the salad the most. Note to the owners: Please hurry to finish building the deli. Sometimes we just want to drop in, grab some good food and 6-pack, and get on our way.
