Like many reviewers have said, you may worry when you walk in that the place is packed and you will have to wait forever. I have been to this spot more than a dozen times and I’ve never had to wait — I go on busy weekends and maybe sometimes people have had to wait, but that hasn’t been my experience. I consistently get a great gel manicure — lots of color choices and every specialist there does a job that lasts for me at least 3 weeks. I found this place using Unilocal and I’m really happy I did.

Okay, so this review is about one week too late.
I used to come into Top Nails and even recommended it to all my friends!
So of course, before my vacation I wanted to get my nails done. I had an appointment and they got me in sat right away, then they started on my toes because my nail guy was not there yet. About 30 minutes go by and he still is not there. Next thing you know, my toes are done and he finally walks over and asked if I had an appointment.

If I had not been in the service industry, I probably would have lost it. Nevertheless, I let him do his work and asked his opinion on a color and he just told me to pick one. In addition, once we got to the polish he notice halfway through that it wasn’t drying properly and yet he still continued to finish and now part of my GEL polish is gone.
Incredibly disappointing.

Best nail place !! The first time I came in 15 minutes before they closed, they took me in happily and were extremely nice! They were never rushed to get out!

I don’t know if I am just used to salons in LA but I am not a huge fan of this place. I called earlier to make gel manicure appointments for both my sister and myself. We showed up and were seated next to each other. The manicurist started on my sister immediately while I had to wait for 3 different manicurists set up their stations, ask me what I wanted, said theyd be right back and never came back. I was finally helped, but not until my sister was practically done. And my sister was done because her manicurist did her’s in a haste.
The woman who finally did my nails, did a good job and I did like her. My sister didn’t care for hers. The wait was excessive.

I went today for a Spa Mani Pedi & my friend got a mani only. Majorly Underwhelmed! Pedi did not do anything to soften or pumice feet — the most important part in my book! Staff was not friendly. Manicure nail shape was okay, but polish quality was very bad, many bubbles & did not dry well. My friend squealed a few times when her manicurist jabbed the tool very roughly to get under her nails & no apology?! All the while her tech was trying to sell other treatments. Also it smelled very strong of chemicals — not enough ventilation! I am shocked this place was so busy. I would not recommend this place to anyone, might as well save your money & put some polish on at home.

I don’t recommend this nail place to anyone. I came in for acrylics and the lady was less than thrilled to do my nails. She kept complaining how she never has a day off. As she’s doing my nails one of her tools broke and she flat out yelled shit super loud. She was mad about it and aggressively finished doing my nails. I have legit indentations in my nails and the only way to fix it is to let my nails grow out. The service sucked and so do my nails. There are much better places to try then this place!

Wow so much attitude from the girls that did my nails. I’m used to much, much friendlier service at my usual two nails salons I frequent but I was in the area so I needed to chance it. The owner was nice. I got here 10 minutes earlier than my appointment to pick a color but the girl rushed me to hurry and insisted I sit. My French pedicure was $ 23 — incredibly bare bones like it literally took 15 minutes. The only thing I did that would’ve made it shorter was not cut my cuticles and I don’t imagine that wouldve made it longer. I really regret paying for it as I could’ve just taken much more care and time to do it myself. I got a fill with no design for $ 25 that came out nice which is where the two stars come in however there are plenty of places that do similar quality work for $ 19 in the valley. I definitely 100% will not be returning.

This is an updated review for Top Nails.
I want to give Tony a shoutout for taking care of me, and giving me my first set of gel nails. I am beyond pleased with how they turned out. Not only do my nails have a great shape, but they look just like my natural nails. I have seen other friends who have gels, and their nails are very thick looking, unnatural.
Also, I love the fact that Steve the owner texted me the day before to remind me of my appointment. Extremely professional!

BRANDY does the BEST gel mani ever!!! She makes them extra short (per my request due to my job) and they always look AWESOME! And I LOVE CINDY for the best pedi and massage in town! Top nails never disappoints

I had a regular mani and a gel pedi here and Lyn did a fantastic job. Sure, they asked if I wanted to upgrade on this or that, but all of the gel colors were the same price (glitter, textured, etc.) unlike other salons. I was surprised to walk in and find such a big space — two rows of spa chairs — which, apparently, employs 45 manicurists. For $ 10 I added a 10-​min neck and shoulder massage and it was SO worth it. They even set a timer to ensure I got all 10 minutes worth.

Super unimpressed. Both my techs were visibly annoyed that I wouldn’t take their upsell suggestions and clearly rushed through my service because of it. Vivian was very rude from start to finish, commenting three different times about my eyebrows and trying to badger me into letting her wax them.
I noticed after I left that the pedicure polish is uneven and doesn’t cover nails entirely in several places. The mani gel dryer was broken and super awkward to use, forcing me to sit in a really uncomfortable position the whole time. Vivian left gel topcoat all around my nails on my skin. Painful to peel off later.
Two stars for the manger who was very welcoming and nice. Really not worth $ 50 after tip. Not pleased and wouldn’t return.

Coming here always! The staff are so nice and friendly, they make you feel so comfortable. I am new to the acrylic lifestyle so I don’t know exactly what I am talking about and they made me feel great. They helped me understand what I needed and was asking for. Tina continuely asked if the shape was good and she is so good. Not a single cut! I had my nails done two weeks ago at a salon in Simi Valley and the girl cut me 4 times applying my acrylics. I will come here for all my nail needs.

I came in to get a full set done and a pedicure. The lady who did my acrylics was rude and forceful. Everything she said to me sounded like a command. There were no please or thank yous. She did not do the design I wanted which simply was all nails pink, and ring finger white with a heart. She didn’t use the color I asked on the heart nor did she paint the one nail white. You couldn’t even tell the hearts were hearts. I have had my nails for two weeks. Since then one nail has completely fallen off (on day two) twice and two have broken in half without pain, meaning she did not put enough glue on.
The guy who did my toes was named Philip, he gets five stars cause he was amazing.

CONS: Slightly overpriced. Expect to be up charged for things as simple as nail shaping. Attention to detail was a miss.

The acrylics of my friend looked amazing.
Me — I just had a gel manicure — the gel polish broke off within the next two days and the manicure was not good at all.
I really am picky with the cuticle and skin and it’s the most important part for me but unfortunately I had to get a new manicure & gel polish fill 5 days later.
Friendly owner tho and nice place.

I’ll start by saying I will definitely be back. Upon entering I walked up to the desk and told them I just called about a mani pedi. I glanced around at the almost full wall of nail color options. There seemed to be 2 full rooms, each lined with numbered pedicure chairs, almost everyone of them full.
I didn’t get to make my way to the second room as I was whisked away to seat 7. Almost immediately after I got my purse of my shoulder two technicians were smiling at me ready to get me all dolled up. I didn’t catch the name of the man who did a FANTASTIC JOB on my manicure, but I did get the name of Lucy who took care of my toes. She was very friendly and provided some great conversation. I left feeling pampered and satisfied with the work they’d done.
Considering I was on my lunch break I was thankful they could get me in out. As I stated before, I’ll definitely be back.
