Once again my fellow Unilocalers helped me to find an honest, reliable, and professional company.
A few days ago, my gardener noticed some water seeping from my front planter. I thought it might have been a sprinkler line that had cracked, but after I shut off the water supply to them, the water seeping continued. So next up, shut down the valve at my house manifold. Checked the meter, and it stopped. Okay, not the mainline. Next, check the house. I turned off all water at the numerous angle stops and made sure no appliances were drawing water and off to the meter I went. Yep. Looks like I have a slab leak. This sucks! So to Unilocal I go to find the best leak detection company around. And find the best I did.
I called D. Lewis Co. and a very polite Andrew answered the phone. I was scheduled for the next morning, perfect! Not 5 minutes later, Andrew calls back and says the owner, Drew, will be in my area and can stop by now if it will help. Yes please! 20 minutes later Drew shows up. I brief him on everything I did, and he grabs his gear and gets to work. To say he is professional is an understatement. He took his time and located my leak with exact precision, down to the «X» marking the spot and lines for each side of the pipe. He wasn’t even off by a half inch!
I asked if he could help me locate pipes to help me with my decision on a repipe. He was more than happy to help. And help he did!!! I now know exactly how to run my repipe and where the pipes are located to tie into.
Drew saved me time, money, and massive headaches by taking his time to help me.
I cannot recommend D. Lewis Co. any higher.

D Lewis was recommended to me by Fisher Plumbing (I also recommend them with 5 stars). I had a underground leak and the water was coming out from the asphalt on my driveway. Instead of just coming out and dig, Fisher plumbing was honest enough to tell me that it’s better to first detect the exact location of the leak then tackle the problem from there. Well, that sure saved me time and money. Thanks to Fisher Plumbing (though they didn’t make money from me this time, I will hire them for future needs).
Andrew from D Lewis called me back and tried to set me up for next day. But, they were too busy and couldn’t make it until 2 days later on a Monday. Tim was the technician that showed up and went right to work. It took Tim about 2 hours to find the exact spot, and for me to fully understand how my incoming water pipes are outside of my house. With my house being 60+ year old, there are a lot of upgrades and pipes routed and rerouted over the years. Anyways, a long story short, Tim was able to pin point the exact spot and lucky for me there was actually a valve that I can just turn it off. The pipe isn’t needed and was supposed to be capped but I guess the previous owner just left it with an valve shut off. So all and all, I didn’t need to call a plumber, and didn’t have to dig or fix anything. D Lewis is not the cheapest, but they are within reason and I actually ended up not needing to spend more money for further repair because of their findings. Tim was very knowledgeable and honest. I am a happy customer and will recommend these guys!

D. Lewis Co. provides a service that they call Utility Locating. A plumber recommended them to help us find the source of a mysterious sewage smell. I had searched the internet for people who tracked down bad smells in the area, and found nothing. I’m not sure who I would have turned to had I not found the D. Lewis Company. They can send a camera into your sewage lines to see what’s up, or put a smoke bomb in there to find leaks. They also use their brains and knowledge.
I was prepared for them to find a leak that would require a big plumbing bill to repair. Turns out they found my sewer vents on the roof were clogged, and they unclogged them for me.
