Best sushi in this area I’ve found so far. There are a lot of different rolls to choose from. The nigiri on the other hand wasn’t what I expected, seems to me that it would be pretty hard to mess up nigiri. The salmon may not be as fresh as some other I’ve had. Nigiri aside the sushi is delicious!

My first Texas sushi experience. A lot of lunch options but I went for the sushi lunch(Choice of 1 roll + 3 different nigiri, comes with miso soup and salad). Prompt seating, quiet(we were there for a late lunch), and efficient if not friendly service(our server seemed a little grumpy, but generally attentive) All in all, for what it aims to be, Fukuda does the job if you are craving sushi in the middle of Houston. It’s not fancy, but it is clean and quick and hits the spot.

Our go to sushi joint. Great happy hour prices and selection. Can’t go wrong with this place. They have happy hour on the weekends and also do a reverse happy hour Monday through Friday.

I highly recommend: Sake/ginger vodka/pineapple juice cocktail(light, smooth, goes well with range of different flavors. Forgot name… so they must be good!), shiro miso soup, edamame, ghost rider, crunchy rolls. Not much to look at from the out or inside but some of the best sushi. Great happy hour selection and prices!

Best of Woodlands for sushi and Japanese food. Come at right time for happy hour for good prices. I recommend the salmon and white tuna. Udon is good also.

Was on the I 45 and missed my exit and happened to pull in the parking lot to this place. After reading the reviews decided to come in and give it a try. Wow very good sushi and I live in the Houston Galleria area. I had the soft shell crab appetizer and the unagi sashimi both were delicious. As for rolls the salmon TriBeCa rainbow dragon and new Texas very excellent. Will definitely make the drive from Houston to come back to this place.

Definitely a quaint find to the types of Japanese restaurant you see now a days, the décor is quite simple yet reminds me of sushi bars before they became hip and trendy with décor and atmosphere. Food was great. Had the froze which were a great pan seared flavor in a tasty tempura sauce. Escolar, uni(not live) crunchy roll and your simple spider and California hand rolls. Everything was great. Next time we will opt to try the live fresh uni instead of the regular uni. Long story short, it was good, even better to find a sushi spot with exotic fish on the menu.

Can’t say enough good things! Friendly service and fantastic quality. We live in the memorial area, so we usually do inner-loop sushi — but this place is a top place!!! My husband greatly prefers it to Kata Robata — which honestly just doesn’t have as much fresh and various fish. I prefer it to MF sushi which has awful service. Now I’m not saying it’s Uchi-level but you have to look at how much you’re paying! Highly recommend. Casual and a really great experience.

I’m only giving it 4 because it’s my first time but I would come back in a heartbeat. The sushi is amazing! Oren-ishii roll was my absolute favorite! Although the restaurant was full, we were seated right away. Service was friendly and quick. Great place!

Arrived late happy hour, greeted and promptly seated. We waited for the rest of our group to arrive on what became a hoppin’ Monday night at Fukuda! Between us — we Ordered a plethora of items — from bevvies, Agedashi, variety of rolls, chicken teriyaki, udon, and few more rolls. All was amazing and must say — the udon(with crisp, cold salad prior) was perfection with the egg prepared and presented perfectly and the 2 tempura shrimp that arrived on the side of it — Yum! Nice touch and appreciate Fukuda offering 10% off for those that checked in.(Ps — discount does not apply to Happy Hour or bevvie items. who cares because as a consumer — it’s the thought that counts ;-) Total bill came to $ 103.56.(Most of this was from happy hour offerings) So far. Besides Uchi. Have to say Fukuda is the best sushi place(in my opinion) in The Woodlands area(and I’ve been to about every one) Our waiter Kyle did a great job despite being stretched pretty thin helping all the masses. As the Terminator says… «I’ll be Back» Pss — while I didn’t try — I’ll definitely try the shrimp crunch roll next time. Looked amazing!

I’ve been here on numerous occasions with a group of inner-loop sushi snobs(myself included) and we were thoroughly impressed by the quality of this tucked-away place. If you go straight for the nigiri and/or sashimi, you won’t be disappointed. Their salmon is clearly prepared by the Gods and dropped from the heavens because it is quite literally, to die for. The other types of fish are superbly fresh and delicious as well, though not nearly as memorable as the salmon. Their signature rolls are above-average, and although I personally haven’t tried any of their appetizers or regular entrees, I do not recall hearing anything negative about them from other members of the group. This place is a gem in the northern Houston area and should be recognized, if not for its nigiri alone. If you’re a salmon lover anywhere in Houston, check this place out, and bask in all of its joy, happiness, and glory.

Love coming here! Always sit at the bar and get great recommendations from The sushi chefs! They have some of the freshest fish in the woodlands. Their spicy ponzu sauce is A+!!!

Been going to this place for years! I always go for lunch & get their bento box! Sakura Poppers aren’t on the menu but you should definitely try them.

The only thing that made me sad about my first time, is I ordered miso soup, and she brought it out and it was super cold… I sent it back and she gave me a fresh one. The sashimi was excellent here. This place is definitely better than Uni Sushi, but the only reason I will still love uni is bc of the baked avocado. Service was good and the atmosphere was great. Will be back!

We craving some Japanese food tonight and decided to give this place a try based on the reviews and I’m glad we did. We were seated right away. My daughter got the chicken fried rice, boyfriend got sushi and I got the chicken. The fried rice was so allege that the three of us are and still had enough to take home for a decent size lunch. The sushi was fresh and tastes good. My chicken dish came out on fire lol. It was delicious and had tons of leftovers. I will comeback for sure and get the udon next. If you’re looking for authentic Japanese food then this is he place to come to

We came out to Fukuda with family and we had a party of 13 on a Sunday night. When we walked in it seemed like there was a big dining area with the sushi bar in the back. Nothing that really stood out. No wow factor but comfortable. We reserved a table and got seat pretty quickly. Our drinks also came out quickly too. When I was looking at the menu the Happy Hour menu was until 9pm on a Sunday night. Now that’s a deal. We got all types of HH food. Got fried tofu, seaweed salad, California rolls, octopus salad, tuna sampler, salmon sampler, & Carpaccio beef. All was really good. Tuna, salmon, & octopus was really fresh and really good. Really enjoyed all the HH menu items. Most important everything was really fresh. I also ordered the Duck Udon which was really good. Nice big chunks of fresh duck meat. They were not skimpy on the duck meat. So fresh and good. Loved the udon too with the soup. I didn’t think the soup was that salty at all. Very good. I also had the Phoenix and Dragon rolls. Really good and fresh. So I really enjoyed this. My wife and daughter split a Seafood Yaki Soba. I stole some squid and it was cooked perfectly. Not to chewy. Really good. They really liked their dish. My son got the Bento Box and he got tempura and teriyaki beef. Ate it all and didn’t complain. So for such a big party I understand that it was hard on the staff, but they continued to fill our water cups and tried to clear our dishes off in a timely manner. The food came out in a decent amount of time. So overall we had a really great meal with some really good food and especially good sushi. I’m glad we were able to make it to this really good Japanese food. As I said before. Loved it. Enjoy.

If you are around the Spring/woodland area, you should give this place a try. Foods are good and fresh. My favorite dish are ghost rider roll and ika sansai. We also order liger(or linger) roll, miso soup, beef carpaccio, and grilled baby ika(squid). All were okay. The service was great but my waiter didn’t speak English really well. Some of the questions she did not understand. I asked her if grilled baby ika is grilled baby octopus, she said ‘yes’ but it turned out to be squid instead. Later on I told them that I actually wanted octopus, the manager(i think) came to tell me that because i ordered the wrong dish, ika is squid. I did not want to make a big deal about it so I didn’t tell her that her waiter told me wrong first. However, due to this incident I’m not sure that I want to come back.

I was a little nervous about bringing my picky kids here since they are pretty picky on what they eat and it passed the test with flying colors. Parking is a little difficult during peak times but worth wait. When you first step in you will notice it to be a tad on the intimidate dark side but still visible lighting for you to read the menus. The tables are spaced apart enough where you aren’t getting butt in your face as you eat and the ambience decibel level is normal for a place that has a high ceiling… unless you get sat next to a table of 20 roving loud mouths like we did but that’s not the establishment’s fault. Service was great and not overzealous. Richard was our server that night and he passed the test of us being our first time here and really taking a while to view the menus. We saw they had Iced Tea and Green Tea on the menu as drinks but wanted Iced Green Tea which he frankly was glad to accomodate. Don’t forget to get your Unilocal 10% discount towards the end of the tab, happy hour and alcohol not included in that but every bit helps right? I had the spider roll which had a good crispy outside softshell crab texture with the good sushi rice holding it together and it’s accompanied smidgens of sauce that is rolled into it. Beware of the spicy garlic edamame. If you love spicy and garlic, this hits the spot and probably will have you wanting another bowl, it is $ 4.50 by the way. Too spicy for a kid but you adults will love it. The appetizer tofu for only $ 3.50 sat on a liquidy but light flavored bowl that did not overpower or make the tofu soggy or salty. The kid’s «bento» box if I may call it that was adequate enough for a 9 year old girl and eye pleasing as well. The price was $ 9 I recall. They have a reverse happy hour here but I cannot recall the exact times but a call can fix that. You can see this restaurant from the freeway as it sits on the feeder. Good luck on your visit here and happy eating.
