I usually order fish, but was talked into trying the Kobe burger. The only way to eat it was with a fork… I had to abandon the top bun. The burger AND the bacon were great. I wasn’t impressed with the fries. I will probably go back to the Chilean sea bass, they always do it right, although it was a good burger. The white Cosmo and bang bang shrimp were both good as always. Friday nights are always packed, get there early if possible!

This is one of our favorite restaurants in The Villages. This is a crowd favorite, so get there really early or really late during the snowbird season. Our favorite is the bang-bang shrimp either as an appetizer or in the bang-bang tacos. However, we’ve had most of the dishes including the ones on the Sunday brunch and they’re all top notch. Can’t go wrong here.

Went for a meal with my mother in law tonight. It was cooler than usual. All chairs inside were taken and she recently had surgery and could not stand. I asked hostess for an unoccupied dining chair to be put in waiting area for my 80 year old mother in law. It was obvious by her reaction that she was not at all thrilled to accommodate me. She suggested my mother in law go sit on the outdoor benches and wait. I reminded her how very cool it was outside… especially for an 80 year old. She finally instructed one of the waiters to grab a chair from dining area… by this time a gentleman in the waiting area gave up his seat for her. Being that it was so very crowded with very limited wait seating… I said… maybe she should leave the chair there for someone else that may need it… very sarcastically she said… no … and told the waiter to take it back. Pretty rude and distant . We were completely rushed through dinner… no app plate… Courses of food brought out on top of each other… impatient waiter … Great restaurant chain… poor customer service.

Just went there with a party of 9 the place was ¾ empty. They claimed it would be two hours to sit us. They wouldn’t even split us up at different tables they just gave us excuses on why they couldn’t serve us. Don’t spend your money here. If I could have given it zero stars I would have. What a bunch of crap. Food is overpriced for Mcdonalds quality food anyway.

OMG this was such an awesome experience!!! Mom & I had an early New Years celebration at this restaurant & since I’ve never dined here it was a virgin experience! Very classy looking place, very kind friendly waitress, excellent meal! The Parmesan crusted trout with jasmine rice & steamed spinach was so delicious with great flavor! Mom enjoyed her shrimp & scallops as well! The music was a bit loud but all I needed to do was ask & that was turned down. I’ll be back, without a doubt!

I like Bonefish. Can’t go wrong with the fish selections and you can go totally healthy here. I think Wednesday is Bang Bang shrimp special night at this location and it gets packed. A complete party atmosphere! Coconut cake is a standout. Selection of wines by the glass also make me happy here. A good standby where you will know what you are getting. Will say the two sides on my fish dish the other evening were quite tiny.

One of the best restaurants in the villages, I would have given five stars if it wasn’t for the side dishes being served a little bit cold. The main dishes were excellent and filling.. we didn’t have room for dessert

Love this place great food and atmosphere. The wait staff is always friendly. Love the hightops in the bar area. And the fact that you never know who will join you at the table… It’s always a new friend within minutes in the villages.

Always very pleased with the food here. Surprisingly hard to find good fresh fish at most restaurants here in Florida but not the case here. Also the special bang bang shrimp on Wednesdays is fabulous.

A very mixed review tonight as that’s what our dinners were like. The shrimp appetizer was superb. They were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection and we enjoyed each succulent bite. It’s the entrees that were great on one side of the table but fell way short of acceptable on the other. While my grilled salmon was wonderful, the wife’s scallops were charred on one side(yes, burned) and rubbery, over-cooked. Only the sinfully good crème brûlée saved the meal for her. $ 59 + 20% tip took us to $ 70 total. We’ll take a break from here for awhile while they figure out how poorly prepared seafood got out of the pass without being caught. Pun intended.

My wife and I have spent the last two of our twenty– four anniversaries at Bonefish Grille in The Villages with outstanding results and tonite was exactly what we have come to expect from one of our favorite chain restaurants, superb service(Mary Alice) & and consistent well seasoned seafood. The Maryland Crab-cakes was moist and full of lump blue crab meat with minimal fillers, highly recommended as an appetizer. My wife had the Aha Tuna & Calamari as her dinner, she always enjoy the freshness of the Aha Tuna. I always try different entrees so I thought I would try the Wood-fire Rhea’s Grouper but unfortunately they were out of the Grouper so I went with a solid back up, Tilapia Imperial. And for dessert, I had the macadamia nut brownie with vanilla ice cream & my counterpart had the Jen’s Jamaican Coconut Pie, only the taste surpassed the wonderful presentation. I thank the staff(Anglers) for yet another delicious anniversary dinner & sensational experience. Finally I want to thank my family, two sons, in-laws,& last but not least my oldest sons’ girlfriend, for a memorable evening with the ones that so special to my wife and I. Thank you

Whenever in The Villages, I always try and visit restaurants that I’m either familiar with or places that I’m eager to try for the first time. I’ve been to Bonefish countless times but never for lunch so I decided to try it out today. I had a $ 5 off coupon so I figured I’d use it and treat myself. The interior is spacious and decorated identically to every other BFG. There’s the dining area and the bar area near the entrance. When I arrived at around 11:30am, I was one of the only customers there. I was greeted by the host and she asked where I wanted to sit and I chose a large booth. My server Keith came over immediately and took my drink order and I began looking over their lunch menu. Honestly, I was expecting more of a selection, so it was a bit disappointing. When I decided to have lunch, I was hoping to find at least one Lobster option, like a Lobster roll but unfortunately that was not available. I was torn between the Kobe Beef Burger and the BFG Filet Mignon soft tacos. In the end I went with the tacos with a side order of French Fries. I received three tacos stuffed with tender Filet Mignon, mango salsa and drizzled with lime crema sauce. My only gripe with the tacos was that the filet was cut into big chunks instead of being sliced into thin strips. I found myself deconstructing the tacos so I could cut the filet into smaller pieces. Nevertheless, it was cooked to a perfect MR and the meat was flavorful. I finished off my lunch with a Crème Brulee that was very good. The custard base was rich and the hard caramel was torched perfectly! It was topped off with a generous amount of whipped cream and blueberries. Service was perfect but the restaurant was almost empty so I received personalized treatment. My server Keith was training a new server but she just stood there and observed. I am definitely a fan of BFG but I prefer their dinner menu over their lunch. This Bonefish is located on CR466 across the street from The Villages High School.

Always good fresh fish, well prepared and presented. The menu changes seasonally so look for new items. They are always good. The servers in total are great and pleasant even though very busy. The making of reservations can some times be confusing but try especially when the snow birds are in town. The bar seating offers a good option and great bar menu for those in a rush or not wanting a full meal experience. The bar is fun but can be crowded and noisy.

Disappointing. Lousy atmosphere– too dark and«over it» host who was persnickety about letting us sit in a booth even though the restaurant was basically empty– does it really matter where we sit if there is no one else here? Mahi mahi fish taco was bland in flavor and the fish was mushy. The shrimp taco on the other hand was actually really tasty, bumping them up to two stars. Took FOREVER to get our food(we almost left… should have) and then was ages to get our check while waitstaff congregated in the back hanging around joking with each other. We finally asked on other random staff person if we could please get our check, and he was like, «sorry dude ask your waiter» and walked away. It’s a bummer because we have been to other Bonefish locations– in Asheville NC and it was fantastic. Too bad this chain can’t keep the quality consistent.

While not a chain restaurant fan, I have always been a pretty big proponent of Bonefish and have commented to many about how impressed I am by what they do. We have been to the Winter Garden location many, many, many many times and have always had great experiences there — food, drinks, staff, happy hour offers — everything has been top notch. We’ve also been to the Semoran location by MCO a handful of times and it’s been great too. Recently we went to The Villages location for Sunday brunch. It was a terrible experience and if I was not already such a fan of Bonefish I can guarantee you I would never bother visiting one again. We were the first ones in the door for the day. Despite that, it was a pretty slow process to get seated and at least 20 minutes for drinks, 30 minutes before we could order breakfast, over 45 minutes for food, no coffee fill ups, etc etc. We were visiting with family and trying to ignore the terrible service until our food finally came. Our breakfasts were completely cold — every one of them in our 6 top. Now we were starting to feel pretty disappointed about our meals and started to notice more — the long wait to be greeted for anyone coming to the hostess stand, with at least one group finally leaving because no one came to seat them; the general inattentiveness of the staff — managers breezing by without even noticing that we had no water or no coffee; the general uncleanliness of the restaurant(unstocked bathrooms at the beginning of the day, inches of dust on everything); etc. You could definitely tell that this wasn’t just a bad day. Maybe no one wants to work in the Villages location? Who knows what the issues are with management or whatever, but this location is no where near the standard Bonefish has set and should be avoided at all costs!

Typically Bonefish is one of my favorite chain restaurants to eat and drink at. I don’t visit chain restaurants frequently, and if I choose to, it will always be Bonefish. Unfortunately, the Bonefish in the Villages is off my list. I get it. Brunch. In the Villages. Your reputation is not built on a brunch menu. But if you offer it, you must follow through. The visit today was simply awful. From service standards, the food, to manager follow up. I left Bonefish wondering how this unit could possibly stay in business. First to be seated at 10:00 a.m. as a six top. So things will move quickly. Not a chance. 20 minutes for coffee and water. At least the coffee was hot. Food took about 45 minutes. All the food was cold. 16 top was served before us. I watched as our food died in the window. Just poor execution by kitchen and expo manager. Hard for food to taste good when it was served cold, so nothing I can report on it terms of food quality. Manager came to table after we requested to see him. A «sorry» and comping of bill. That was it. No explanation given to us and very insincere. Tipped the bartender and got out of there with the other tables who were as equally disappointed. BTW Bonefish in the Villages. You need to high dust… everywhere. That is gross.

We had the best food to date tonight. The fontina chop w/the truffle Mac & cheese was to die for. Petrina had the Ahi Tuna steak w/the grilled asparagus, I think she might come back tomorrow. Thank you to Reese and his staff for such a great experience. #BFG
