This location is very consistent. Very good lunch but it gets very crowded at lunchtime. All you can eat fish or popcorn shrimp for 10 $

Stopped in for lunch. Made our own combination of blue crab claws, gator tail and fried shrimp. Shrimp are very good but the gator tail was the best I’ve had anywhere. I’m definitely will return for that!

Average at best, strip mall location. One step away from fast food. The Unilocal reviews were very misleading. The food is low quality. I should’ve sorted based on price. It was a disappointment and all food of the quality that that you can get in the freezer section of your favorite club.

This used to be our Friday night spot until we grew weary of the wait and figured out the food is just as good any other day/night of the week. Yep, we may be slow, but we know good food and good value! Can’t vouch for any non-seafood items, but we’ve tried just about everything else and haven’t been disappointed. I’m a fan of the always moist and juicy blackened salmon served on top of rice. Wish I’d known that the first time I ordered it because my side item choices would’ve been different. I *think* rice comes with any fish that isn’t fried, kinda like a bonus side item. The atmosphere is pretty campy, but I’m not convinced that is deliberate. I happen to like mermaids protruding from walls and the shark mannequin maître d’, so that is a plus for me. So is the very nice and on-the-ball wait staff.

Great selection, great people, great atmosphere. I mean, what more could you want from this place? It is a local, homestyle feel. The staff is always cheerful and suggestive with those who need advice on menu selection. I LOVE the gator here. Try it with their own sauce. You won’t regret it.

Looking for a place to stop for lunch on a long trip back from my sister’s wedding, we looked online and found this place. Summerfield is a funny little town as it is, with a huge senior community who putt around in gold carts in town doing their shopping. When we found the place, it was in a strip mall, and I was like«uh oh» thinking quality might not be good. However, let me say, I had their fried clams, which I’ve had all over many times in my 52 years, and theirs were the BESTEVER! Lightly fried, not greasy, and surprise NOTCHEWY! I always just assumed that fried clams were chewy. These were very tender and flavorful. We also got an appetizer of fried gator tail — fantastic, and my combo plate with grilled fish was also fantastic. Everyone seemed to enjoy their dishes as much as I did mine, and we all ordered different things, so when I head back down that way, I will surely stop in again… and just might go whole clam this time!

I went while visiting my parents. We got there about 5:15 and right after we sat down it got super crowded. It was a Tuesday night but it still filled up by 6pm. We tried the gator tail and thought it tasted like tender chicken– very tender & mild. Mom said the coleslaw was excellent. I got the Platter for One which was huge(5 scallops, 5 shrimp, tons of oysters & clam strips, 2 pieces of fish, &1 crab cake.) Mom got the fried oysters and they were moist, light breading, and a huge portion. She also had the cheese grits that tasted like ground-up mac-n-cheese and said she never had such cheesy grits. Dad had the 30 shrimp special and they were actually a nice size. The service was a bit slow but it seemed like all the tables around us got their food right away, so it might have just been us.

Comfortable, olde school, old décor, time stands still restaurant with efficient friendly folksy waitresses serving simple fresh abundant tasty seafood for a very reasonable price. Three times, I’ve eaten lunch here ordering something different and have enjoyed it every time. I hope they never change a thing!

Phenomenal Gator tail! Most tender we’ve ever had! We ate the 30 pieces of shrimp with Cole slaw and baked potato, and the entire meal was worthy of 5 stars for sure. The service, food and atmosphere were wonderful.

We literally eat lunch there every other day when we are in The Villages. We love grilled fish and theirs is terrific! It’s not on the menu, but you can get all-you-care-to-eat of a few seafood dishes. Grilled pollack is one of them and we love it! With their wonderful cheese grits, green beans and a dish of applesauce for dessert, it’s a great tasting meal that has helped me lose a lot of weight this past year. It’s $ 9.99 for lunch!!! Everything we have tried here is great, but we eat the grilled pollack almost every time we go.

Came in for the first time tonight for dinner. So very happy we did. The service, food and company was all GREAT! We asked about the gator tail and she brought put a small plate enough for all of us to try. We had the gator, shrimp, clam strips and grilled mahi. We even had the key lime pie! We will be back!

My wife and friends eat at SAMs almost once a week. Very good food and prices. The wait staff are very friendly, especially when they get to know you! I would very much recommend SAMs for a tasty seafood experience.

If you want a good example of Southern hospitality, good and timely service, and well prepared seafood then this is the deal. My wife had blackened haddock, I had shrimp, and we split an order of fried green tomatoes. We found the Unilocal rating to be right on the money.

Had lunch here a few days ago. I enjoyed the meal, had the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer, followed by the shrimp scampi fiesta as an entrée. Food was tasty, though some of the side items could use a refresh(ingredients vs cost cutting). Service was passable, but I wasn’t exactly thrilled with it overall. May try the other locations in the future.

A good casual seafood restaurant with very reasonable prices. It has a lot of fried foods but you have the option of grilled or broiled which is nice for some of the dishes. It also offers all you can eat items at reasonable prices. The only beef I have is the ambiance is a little dingy or out of date. It is nice a causal and the service is decent. It reminds me of a diner from back at home in IN but with seafood instead of home style cooking. I would rate it more of a 3.5 but if they renovated the inside it would be a solid 4 rating.

All that I ordered here was the Peanut Butter pie, and it was fantastic. This place is in a strip mall, and I would have completely missed it if my parents hadn’t known it was there. I was stuffed from lunch, so I didn’t want to order a meal, but the pie was delicious. Everything here looked great, I wish I would have had the stomach capacity to have some of the entrees. The staff was friendly, and the prices didn’t seem too bad. I will actually try the seafood the next time.

Great seafood restaurant and reasonably priced. My only bone to pick about the place is that when it gets busy, the service goes downhill and fast… Avoid the all you can eat nights or get there early otherwise it’s a zoo trying to get a table.
