Enjoyed eating here twice in the past 5 weeks to celebrate a special family moment. Both times we had Andre as a waiter. Excellent service and we will return & ask for him again! Wait was not to long. We were given popcorn & crackers and cheese. Our drinks came right away. Always a wonderful thing when you have hungry children with you. Andre made sure we got everything we wanted all with a big smile and pleasant no matter how busy he was. 5 stars from us. Food was excellent each time too. We tried a few other 99s in the past in Andover and Billerica. This is the only one we really loved.

I’m not from the area and always guessed that the 99 was just another lousy steak place; and I am always surprised at how good they really are. I recently ordered the prime rib — the flavor and tenderness was the same quality of Mortons. Their wings are exceptionally good as well — always crunchy with a nice amount of sauce. The 99 has become my go to restaurant for take out and the prices are generally low for the quality and portion size.

The food was great. We ordered fish tacos and a side of French fries. However, the waitress wasn’t so friendly. Still enjoyed our meal though!

Nice spacious ladies room with 4 stalls, 1 of which is a handicap stall with handrails on two walls. An excellent choice for the wheeled crowd. Super fast service. Huge chunks of lobster in the collosal lobster roll

Ordered take out from here about 4 – 5 times and only once has my order been decent. Looks like kids put the food into the styrofoam containers, always a mess, leaking, broccoli put on top of the mashed potatoes etc. Don’t like complaining but the last few times have been bad and I’m annoyed lol wanted to be refunded for my lunch order today but whatever.

The food was exquisite. Waitress was friendly and kept checking on us constantly, would only change the group of teens arguing next to us. Good experience overall.

We go here I would say 2 – 3 times per Month and usually get the XL Gold Fever wings for our family as a quick and easy dinner. At work we get take out from another 99 so we are solid regulars.

Pretty typical food for a chain restaurant. We’ve dined in a few times and service has always been solid and prompt. We more frequently have done take-out — always bene pleased with the To Go service and the chance to avoid the lines. The options are the menu are plentiful and with picky eaters and allergies in the family, it helps to have choice when ordering.

Only giving it one star because there is no option for zero stars. Food was served to me cold. Waitress was rude when I made a comment about it. Food has been disappointing more than one visit. Without hesitation I would drive further for better service.

As far as chain restaurants go, I feel like the 99 does a perfectly acceptable job offering decent food at a good value. We go in for lunch a lot and sit at the bar. The service is quick and friendly and the food is always pretty good. They did switch their pub cheese to a horseradish based spread for about a month, but I guess people were complaining so they switched it back to the good stuff. At least they listen to their customers’ feed back and show that they take their opinion into consideration. We will be back often for more beer and steak tips…

Quick service, friendly staff. We had pot pie and chicken parm and bother were super good. Chicken was crispy and not store bought chicken patties. This chicken was better than olive gardens. Pot pie was perfect the crust was perfect. Staff was super nice to my kid which means a lot to me. I almost didn’t come here and I’m glad I did. The 9.99 plates are huge. Unless your a power eater they will easily fill you. We will be back!

The only reason I’m giving five stars… Is because of our waitress… Crystal. She was super friendly, funny, and gave us better service than we have had in a long time! If it was just based on the food we would have done one star. Ordered gold fever wings, and strawberry ice tea, both were very good! We were told about their new items and choose the chicken pot pie! It looked great coming out, but once we broke into the crust, there was no gravy… More like soup broth… And the carrots were far from cooked! Looks like they need more training on how to make pot pie. We sent it back., again handled very well by Crystal! We ordered turkey clubs! How can those be messed up! Well we found out! Thought the kitchen may try to make up for their pot pie fiasco… Nope! We got the hardest bread ever, could have chipped a tooth with it! Again we had to tell Crystal it was bad. I gave her a piece of my bread and said instead of the manager, I wanted to see the cook who thought it was OK to serve us that stale over toasted bread! We just left! Had to leave after an hour and a half… Got our meal, if you can call it that, for free and a gift card we which was nice. We do love their wings! We still gave Crystal a good tip, she was awesome, and it was the kitchens fault, if anyone should lose an hours pay, it should have been that cook!

This is the place to go with your elderly mother or grandmother. Not a good place to catch a bite during the week. The food is awful in quality and quantity. All their meats are smothered in dressings and seasonings. This and Applebee’s are my two least favorite chain restaurants. All the food tastes like it was frozen then heated in a microwave.

You know, I eat at this 99 at least once a week and I think they deserve a review! The food is always good, the waitstaff are friendly and always accommodating to your needs and they stay open late unlike some places who have recently shortened their hours [Jon Ryan’s Pub]. Shout outs to Amanda, Diane, Beth, Sherry… you guys are great!

I LOVE the 99 in Tewksbury! It’s as perfect for taking my 95 year old grandmother for lunch as it is for trivia and drinks with my friends. The food is great. They don’t have a ton of vegetarian options but I love the new caprese sandwich they offer on the lunch menu, and if you ask nicely, they will make it for you for dinner too. The staff is always outstanding, I’ve never had a bad experience. I love the bartenders and there is always a fun crowd at the bar. I highly recommend the 99 for lunch, dinner or drinks!

The first time I walked in, I was amazed at this restaurant’s size. That made more sense when I read some other comments which said this used to be a Weathervane. It still feels like one, to some extent. The seating is very spacious. We were greeted by a very enthusiastic host, and as we walked past the bar I saw it was full for trivia night. The wait staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and work well as a team; our waitress was a lot of fun. The servers were, however, inconsistent. The one who brought us our appetizer looked like she wanted to be at a party elsewhere. We got this combined look of disgust and despair when we asked for plates to go with our appetizer. A different server who brought us dinner completely made up for that. It looks like the cost of appetizers has gone up again, so the Free Appetizer coupon is well worth it. We got the Boneless Buffalo Chicken Wings, X-tra large, normally $ 10.99, which had a nice kick but not really enough celery accompanying them. I ordered a fried seafood combo($ 13.49) by mistake when I wanted a baked or broiled combo, though it was okay. The fish and shrimp were fine, as was the small ramekin of New England clam chowder(though the bag of oyster crackers was bigger than the ramekin). The clams casino, unfortunately, was very greasy. No problems at all with the other order, a fried chicken cutlet dinner. All things considered, an okay meal, a good deal with the coupon.

I ate here twice in two weeks– the first time was a five star collossal lobster roll. When I returned a week later, the sweet, juicy lobster in the roll was rubbery, tough and flavorless. So disappointed. Overall, the service is terrific– our waitresses both times are very attentive at the table, quick with the orders, substitutions are welcome. It seems like they really want to make it the meal you want to eat. Solid, if not spectacular.

I love when I come in the Andover, MA area. I ate here twice this week. Great food and atmosphere. Wait staff is friendly, fast and offered great suggestions on the menu. Food was perfect on both visits.

Sitting at the bar gave me a new perspective of the Tewksbury 99 — the bartenders are funny and make it a point to get to know us and joke around. Yeah, it’s a way for them to get a bigger tip, but hell, it worked. They were entertaining and brought us round after round of beer, even with my friend’s special request of an orange in her Blue Moon. I found the 2001 Boys Indoor Track Team photo and saw some of my old running mates. .. now to find the Girls Indoor Track Team photo, or the Volleyball or Tennis ones. Cute little addition to a generally corporate environment.
