My favorite spot in town! So simple and good I can’t believe someone didn’t come up with this concept before. Order online(don’t pay until you pick up which is very convenient), the menu changes every week and pick-up the next day on the way home from work! It takes 2 minutes to pop these gourmet dishes in the microwave and then onto a plate! I haven’t had a bad meal from the place — usually oder from them once a month or so and order a couple meals for the week! If you have not tried this place I highly recommend it!

Terre Haute has a new way to dine. The Butler’s Pantry at Sycamore Farms on poplar street offers a Gourmet carry out service that will tickle your taste buds. I have taken cooking classes from the Chef there and really enjoy his food. Chef Kris Kraut offers up some delicious food for people on the go and for the quality of the food, the cost was quite reasonable. We ordered a beef short rib Stroganoff over pappardelle pasta. The sauce was full richness with a hint of tartness that you come to expect with a Stroganoff sauce. The Veggies in the sauce still had a little crunch left in them, something that I enjoyed. The pasta didn’t fair as well in the microwave. Perhaps, if i had mixed the sauce into the noodles before heating the food it would have been better. The pasta that was covered by sauce was good while the pappardelle noodles that were left uncovered dried out a bit. I’ll take the blame for that. The meat was tender with a beefy moist flavor that a short rib can give you when its perfectly cooked. My wife had a Cherry BBQ chicken which she let me taste. The sauce was sweet with out being overly so with a hint of spice that complemented the chicken perfectly. The real star of my wifes dish was the Slaw which was creamy with some fruit. It was delicious. For desert, Chef Kraut prepared a Apple, Peach, Cherry crumble that I really loved. Tart and not overly sweet, the desert set the menu off very well. Those that are interested should check the website often as the menu changes periodically depending on the fresh ingredients that chef can obtain. I really enjoyed our meal, the reason i didn’t give The Butlers Pantry full marks is simply because of the Papparelle Noodles being a little dry through no fault of the Chef. When we want something to really nice to eat and don’t have the time to cook it, We will be back. Also, this is a perfect way to provide my Collage age son something good to eat when he returns home from some of his late night Rehearsals.
