Love the purple building my husband and I have been trying out new foods lately and this place did not disappoint I got the mussel special mild if you don’t like spicy order mild. the feel of the place is a little jazzy for me but still cool and eclectic. The restaurant was clean as were the restrooms. Service was a tiny bit slow but still great place would go again

Excellent red curry! Perfect level of spice & flavor. Good sized portions. Very courteous wait staff, she was contentious of my egg allergy. It’s a quiet little spot up in Temple Terrace but so worth a stop in. This will be my go-to for a quick work lunch.

It’s OK. Went during lunch and it wasn’t busy. I arrived at 11:45 and I didn’t leave until 1:50. This is a two hour lunch, 1.25 hrs too long! It took 30 minutes for water and a waiter. Don’t come if you wanted a work lunch. The food wasn’t the best but it isn’t the worst. I enjoy Thai food because there is multi-dimensions to the flavors and this place was very… single plane. I have eaten Thai food more often than I want to because the Thai ladies at my husband work would make food for us all the time, and these ladies everyday home cooking is better than this restaurant.

Always delicious food and friendly staff. I have tried a variety of dishes and all have been yummy. The sexy woman sushi roll is so yummy! The volcano chicken is also very yummy. I think I have tried almost all the appetizers and have enjoyed them all.

Visited here on a weekday for dinner. The ambiance is wonderful — there are posters of Lois Armstrong along with other Jazz artists along the walls of the restaurant. The staff is friendly and accommodating. There was also soft jazz playing softly in the background. The food however was subpar and I do not plan on returning soon.

ONLYAUTHENTICTHAIFOODINTAMPABAY. I wish I could make this a 4.5, because it really is better than a 4 and the only reason I am not doing a 5 is because the service was not amazing. The waitress was very friendly, but I think they were short staffed because it took her some time in between serving and bringing the check etc. She did refill our drinks a few times, and was very helpful when asking about the levels of spiciness for items. The menu is very diverse, and incredibly authentic. Most Thai restaurants in Tampa are more like Chinese food with random bits of Japanese sushi or Korean mixed in– but this is actually Thai food! The amazing thing about real Thai food is that even the über spicy stuff is so refreshing. They include so much fresh ingredients and veggies– delicious. They have the option of spiciness from mild-Thai spicy which is great. I don’t know that the Thai spicy is REALLY Thai spicy, only because in Thailand the smallest amount of spicy can give me(and probably most Americans) a stomach ache with tears and sweats lol! I got the option just below Thai spicy and it was a great amount of spice if you like spicy but don’t want to be drooling, sweating and leave with a stomach ache. I could probably handle the Thai spicy. The prices were very modest, and the atmosphere was great. They have a stage for live music, but there was none on the Tuesday night that we went but it would be interesting to look into that. The little plaza is cute and their decorations inside are nice. We got a Groupon to go here and have already purchased another one to go back again.

I eat here almost every single week and if we don’t sit down we get take out. They are open later and while I am taking night classes at USF that’s really helpful for me when I don’t feel like cooking at 9 p.m. The inside is really unique in that it completely incorporates Thai culture and jazz culture together. I have never had a problem finding parking right up front either. The waitstaff is attentive but doesn’t hover. However, there was one time when I had to sit there for half an hour waiting for my take out after I had already ordered, waited and then driven over. This is not usually the case though. The food is really good and well priced. There is a little too much salt in the taste for me in some of the dishes such as the broccoli chicken in brown sauce, but I am not a salt lover at all. The curries are delicious and I highly, highly, highly recommend the pineapple curry. It’s delicious! The coconut soup is also really good and I like to order it when I’m not feeling well or for my fiancé when he isn’t feeling well. Overall, well worth checking this place out.

Average. The food is a bit on the plain side. I was dials appointed in the Tom Ka soup, very bland and all the food dishes are using a highly processed chicken. Nothing special in the temptation appetizer either. If you go, ask for HEIP. He was the only attentive server in the place and he was very personable and friendly. He wasn’t even our server but he helped us more than our own waitress. My beautiful wife had the green curry and I hD the Penang curry. It was somewhat good but nothing to bang a Gong about. Maybe it’s just our taste as everyone has different interpretations of Thai food and this just wasn’t very flavorful or really worth returning for unfortunately. Thank you HEIP.

Went here for dinner, some specials were a little expensive, but after our main meal came out, it was worth the price– large proportions and very tasty food. We ordered the Pad Thai and the Pad See-Ew. Both were very delicious, and when we ordered, they asked how spicy we wanted the meals. I went with a medium spice, and it was spot on, like stated in the earlier reviews. My boyfriend ordered his more spicy, and while not as spicy as he wanted, still had a good kick to it. Service was very nice, and the waiter always came and filled up our drinks when we needed without having us ask. Very friendly. Overall, I would go here again! We each brought home yummy leftovers that we will be eating for lunch the next day.

Had lunch this monday afternoon around 12:15. Received solid service, was out of drink for a little bit, but was able to get half order of extra rice so I ended up Very happy. Had the panang curry lunch special, it tasted delicious was was nicely plated. Had left over sauce which I mixed with some extra rice, which made or a nice little«second» portion. Overall was very satisfied. Will definitely be back.

I went here for lunch with a friend and had a wonderful experience. We were seated quickly by an incredibly friendly and pleasant server. He took our drink orders promptly, Thai tea and Thai coffee. Both were mixed perfectly, not overly sweet. I ordered the pork wontons and Panang curry, my friend ordered the Massamu(spelling) curry, both tofu. Our vegetable soup arrived quickly and was super tasty. I love the way fresh carrots taste! The broth was so flavorful. Next the wontons came out which were very good as well. Our entries came shortly after and both curries were delicious! The tofu, vegetables, sauce, and even the rice was excellent. The atmosphere was quaint and classy and the establishment appeared well maintained. The bathrooms were clean and the prices were fair. The exterior doesn’t really fit an Asian establishment which threw me off but don’t let it fool you, the place is great!

Good food, grimy atmosphere, terrible customer service. Very displeased by the service and I was overcharged. Instead of arguing after trying to get it corrected once I chose not to include a tip and let them figure out the overcharge. My party and myself left out, got inside my vehicle to look up and see the waitress standing at my car window asking«how do you drive a nice car but not tip?»… All I could do is shake my head and drive off! That’s not only rude but it’s dangerous on her part!

Quirky little Victorian details outside this Thai place. No judgment. The proof is in the pad Thai which was excellent. I requested that my shrimp pad Thai be slightly spicy and they did it spot on. Not the pad Thai than I’m used to up north, but I liked their saucy riff on their version. There were not so many peanuts to be found but that’s minor detail. I was underwhelmed by the coconut soup. It was Mostly broth which was richly seasoned with Thai basil, lemon grass and of course, coconut milk. I got my coconut soup with chicken and there really wasn’t much chicken to be found. I’m not sure how the soup is supposed to be, but I did expect a little bit more substance. Oddly, I was most impressed by their crab Rangoon. Not usually a showstopper, this pretty little treat offered a rich curry seasoned Cream cheese filling cradled inside a crispy wonton shaped like a flower in bloom. Wish I could snap a photo, but they’re completely gone! Really… So good! I did take out as I was on the road staying in a hotel up the street, but the inside looks clean and presentable. They also have a cozy little sushi bar. Wouldn’t mind checking that out if there’s a next time.

Wow! My date was looking for authentic Thai and we found it! The USF area offers a plethora of food at fair prices and this place did not disappoint. Came for lunch, house soup was included. We both had«Dragon’s Kiss» one in pork and one in chicken. Our meals were incredible flavorful and our service was impeccable. I can’t wait to come back!

First get the coconut soup to start, if you do that, the rest of my review is superfluous. The soup is amazing, prepared individually, and filled with chicken and fresh vegetables. We tried several dishes and they were good, but the soup was just the star of our dinner.

Meh… For what my friends raved about, it really was just A-OK. For starters the place is very eye appealing inside! Cannot say the same for the outside. the color scheme of the outside kind of reminds me of the weird neighborhood from Edward Scissorhands. Anyways, while inside everyone was friendly but that doesn’t attest for the food. So the first thing I noticed is that it’s a Thai place that serves sushi?! Though I was not in the mood for sushi, it did look damn good. Jumping to what I got… I love pad thai. I LOVE pad thai. I have had pad thai at many places and I can safely say they all mostly taste around the same and the same for chicken… So I ordered the chicken pad thai and when I got a whiff of it, I kinda figured something was wrong. I tasted it and it was just mind boggling. It just tasted like straight up fish/shrimp or whatever seafood you may have, but not the good kind, and I was not having that. I asked my 4 friends to all try it and they all squinted and pursed their lips with utter disgust. I think it was fair to say that I was not about to indulge in that. I asked kindly to have a switch of meal and they delivered with no questions asked. I tasted the panang curry chicken that my friend had and decided I would have the same for $ 1 more. They brought that out very quickly and it was pretty tasty. It had a sweet creamy coconut flavor to it and that made me happy. Afterwards we wanted dessert, but something was wrong with deep fryer so we couldn’t have any… :(… They are all very nice people and my friends seemed to enjoy all of their dishes! Give it a try, I suppose it’s a hit or a miss.

After a long drive and a random pit stop for food, I wondered in nearly frothing at the mouth like a zombie in search of brains. «HUNGRY! Me need eats!» I was seated immediately and as a one person patron(most places seem to give a raised eyebrow) they didn’t 2nd glance. The restaurant has free lot parking, it has two medium sized rooms and the décor is casual with a date-like flair. The waitress was prepared and as they got busier had a hard time keeping up, same with the cook(s). I had the Panang Curry with chicken and an add on of potato for $ 13. I asked for a ‘little over mild’ spiciness and got it. I didn’t like that the herbs were throughout the curry. I was picking out leaves, kind of annoying. My entrée was somewhat small. For taste, the meal came piping hot, fresh out the pot! Bell peppers were crisp, chicken was average, zucchini was good and I could taste the bits of peanuts in the curry sauce(seasoned well, I should add). All in all this is a good place to eat, even to those who are starving zombie-like types. Sure there are a few kinks work out but an easy fix. I could see why people like to dine here.
