We came here on a whim looking for something different. We were beyond pleased with the atmosphere and our server, Chris. Most excellent food is served including the lamb chops, gyro, and leg of lamb. Not to mention the baklava. We will be back!

Wow! Seriously a hidden gem. We were taking a long weekend getaway and happened upon Pangaea, and are we glad we did! Everything from the appetizers to our mains were delicious. The service was also awesome. Next time we are in the area we will definitely stop again. The Greko Burger was unbelievable! 5 stars and two thumbs up!

Some of the best Greek food I’ve had. Service was friendly and quick. It’s tucked behind the car wash at Winchester and Jefferson but its worth the drive. Delicious.

Went in for lunch and we were not impressed. Clean inside with ok service but weird décor with dolls hanging from the walls. Menu was not really geared for lunch and prices were high for the food we got. Chicken was overcooked and my salad dressing was all oil with little vinegar. Gyro was big, but bland with over cooked chicken as well. Not worth the price, I believe there are better options in the area. Try pacific pita or old market grill.

I’ve been on a Mediterranean food kick this past month or so and had to stop by Pangea(the old Greek Place). It is under new ownership. I’ve visited here about two years ago and never had much reason to write a review– it was just alright. However, this last visit was delicious! I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki plate. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The portion sizes were huge. I was a very satisfied customer and as a matter of fact, snuck back out a couple days later for a repeat. My only reservation is that the server informed me that they would be updating the menu and adding Italian. This worries me. Things were so perfect that I’m not sure a change would be for the better. Forget that fast food greek restaurant up the road. THIS is where you need to be. Edited to add– just tried this place again with my new dietary restrictions and one word– FABULOUS!!! Safe for gluten-free people!

For a modern presentation to an old world flavor, this is the place to go. When we arrived, my stomach turned when I saw the simple clean white spread. I was bringing the messiest three year old to a nice place… great. Don’t let it fool you. This taverna atmosphere is clearly welcoming to children in an authentic Mediterranean way. The owner/chef even came out to welcome us and playfully talk to the kids. Much appreciated. The wait staff was personable and professional. We never felt the usual, «ugh…kids», vibe from them. The food was AMAZING! Let me start by saying that I am incredibly hard ro please when it comes to Greek food. I lived on the island of Lesvos for about two years and was spoiled on great food. One bite of my moussaka and I was back on the island. It was paradise on a plate. My husband had a gyros plate and I think he tasted it? Meaning he didn’t have time to come up for air. The girls has chicken and fries because… kids. The chicken was delicious too. Fresh and served the same way ir would have been in any place in Greece, with a spray of lemon. If you want, nay, require real Greek food, then come here. If you want local taste with Greek names, then stay away. The flavors here are not for the faint of heart looking for a kabob.

A wonderful surprise in the Murrieta/Temecula area. I had the Olympian plate which is a sampler of everything. Place is clean, servers were good. I recommend!

This place was a lot of fun. The waiter brought out an appetizer dish called«sovanyaka» or something like it, and set it on fire. The kids loved it. My wife ordered lamb and it was great. I had the pepper steak and it was amazing. The whole peppercorns must have been toasted before he put them on the steak. I enjoyed their texture, and the steak was of a high quality. It was slow and the owner came out and talked with us for a bit. He told the kids about Greece. He and the waiter were friendly and pleasant. We left stuffed but got some baklava for the road. I will come back again.

The other review must be from one of the family member owners. I’ve been in here a few times simply because I never learn my lesson. Because they are close to the car wash, it’s very convenient. The problem I have here is with the Greek food, mostly the gyros. As as pricey, somewhat upscale restaurant, I expect equal or greater quality food then less expensive eateries. However, the gyros were not just mushy and processed, when I asked, I was told that they are prepackaged, and the explanation of why was very interesting. After complaining nicely, I was told that they didn’t have the traditional and very tasty rotisserie because«at the end of the day there might be some left over that would be wasted.» For what they charged for the gyros, they could afford to throw a little away. Even more likely, if the gyros weren’t so disgusting they would sell more. Between the food the price and the arrogant attitude, this time I won’t be tricked into returning.
