Avoid this place! They use fake meat for their $ 4.99 gyro sandwich to lure you to their restaurant. Female cashier is lazy and not helpful. Cook(possible owner) picked his teeth and then went back to prepare food without washing his hands. Everything is sticky in this place, I mean everything. Table tops have crumbs, streaked and are dirty and sticky. Ketchup bottles too. Items in the food bar appear to have been sitting out for hours in extremely warm temperatures. Flies everywhere. We have no idea how this place got«A» rating from the health department. Looks like desperate patrons go there because it is one of the few Mediterranean places on that side of the 15 freeway. I bet a lot of people get sick after eating here.

You found this place by accident and it is awesome. Their hummus is among the best I have had and I am Arabic so I’ve had few Their kibbeh is delicious but small compared to other places and they usually over cook it so ask them to not cook it too much. Overall their food tastes authentic except the rice is too greasy and also avoid their baklava it’s dried and tastes old. ++++ On their adjacent little grocery store. They have a decent selection of Arabic food. We used to live in San Diego so we are happy to have a place here to go to in between our SD trips.

Pretty disappointed they now only offer the chicken or falafel sandwiches on the two for $ 7 Tuesday special. We enjoy the gyro and grilled eggplant. Still love the food but won’t be returning as often.

Tried out their 2 skewer plate, 1 chicken, 1 beef. It was really good, very fresh! Also tried out the salad bar, doesn’t look like much but eveything I got from it tasted really good! Only thing I can say I wasn’t crazy about was the rice. Not a deal breaker, it was ok. I would recommend checking this spot out if you’re in the area.

Chicken kabob plates are very tasty. Salad bar is convenient. Pretty to close to authentic Greek/Mediterranean food. I like the little Mediterranean market inside; it’s a very nice add-on to this business.

Today I was on my way to the DMV in Temecula, but first I had to stop for lunch! I found myself next to Mr. Kebab! I had heard and read some really good reviews on this place and decided to try it out! For starters; not a whole lot of thought has-been put into the restaurants style of setting. Nonetheless decided to stay and try it out. The service was friendly! I figured I’d play it safe and with a Shawerma(Beef)! Meanwhile I waited I noticed that they had in Middle Eastern market to the side and checked it out! Anything and everything they can think of in regards to Middle Eastern products, you can find them here! Soon as my Shawerma pulled up to my table; I have to say it looks really good I had also ordered regular hummus and spicy hummus to try them both out! Much to my surprised he Shawerma was flavorful and excellent, the hummus was very good as well! So aside from the interior Decour the food hands-down is really good! If you’re close to old town Temecula and you’d like something different Mr. Kebab is the spot to be at!

Had the chicken shawarma plate which was really good, loved the rice too. The addition of one trip to the salad bar included with the platter was an added bonus, nice selection of salads. Was a lot of food but wasn’t a heavy meal. Daughter thought falafel could use a lil something but she also didn’t use the sauce.

Love this place! I’ve been here a few times before. It was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon lunch for Mother’s Day. I really enjoy their food and the convenient cute little market that’s connected to it. You can’t leave without grabbing some grocery!

Winner winner chicken kabob dinner! Dine-in or take out. Whatever floats your boat. Surely, the chicken kabob is my all time fav here. It’s juicy not dry! The beef kabob, meh. It tastes funny?! Must try the chocolate baklava. Oh and can’t beat the«one time» salad bar(note you can only go once or you’ll be charged and have a sound lashing of embarrassment in front of customers). There is even a market in the back of the restaurant. This place gets very busy during lunch and dinner, so it’s hit or miss for seating. Did I mention they have freshly made Orange TANG?!? Best ever! Not Orange Bang, Orange Tang! Who makes orange Tang anymore by mix? Probably your Aunt but that’s none of my business.

The inside of this restaurant is very fated… That being said, the food is Amazing and very affordable. Don’t let the interior of this restaurant fool you, it’s the best Greek food in temecula

I just ate here with some co-workers. There were 7 of us. Most of my co-workers ordered plates. I went with the chicken cream chop sandwich. It was a little busy, but not crazy. After about fifteen minutes, five of the seven orders came out. Five minutes later, out came number six. So, everything but my sandwich was done. Ten minutes later, after people who came in after us were finishing their food, I went to the front to check on my order. The cashier said it would be right up. I sat back down. About 5 minutes later, somebody came by asking if a gyro plate was mine. It wasn’t. A few minutes later, someone else came running out with my sandwich, slammed it on the table(literally, it was quite loud), and left without saying a word. Luckily, I had tipped 20% when I ordered I would have hated to see how bad the service had been had I not tipped. And, yes, that was sarcastic. Service like this is why I don’t like tipping before I get the food. So, after waiting over half hour for my sandwich, I unwrapped the foil, hoping it would at least have been worth the wait and rudeness. The pita was ripped and falling apart. I took a bite. The ranch was good, but the pita was dry. Since it was falling apart anyway, and the pita wasn’t that good, I resorted to eating the meat with a fork. Speaking of the meat, the«chop» was a handful of tiny cut up pieces of kebob meat, not a single chop of meat like the name implied. It should have been called chopped chicken, not a chicken chop. There was no breading at all, unlike every other cream chop I’ve seen. The only thing that warranted putting cream in the name was the creamy ranch dressing. Needless to say, I won’t be going back anytime soon. There are a lot of restaurants in Temecula. The places that treat their customers with respect deserve my money. The places where I practically have to «go long» and catch my late meal do not.

I am not one to leave a bad review. However, I feel that this is one that is necessary. My mom and I were craving Greek food and we had heard about Mr. Kabob. So decided to give it a try! Walking into the restaurant, we noticed the B rating on the door. We hesitated, but there could have been any reason for that B. As we were ordering, a cricket scurried across the floor behind us. One of the staff members scooted it out and that was that. After we sat down we noticed at least 3 more crickets running around. Then one of the waitresses found a bunch of them in the salad bar. If THAT wasn’t reason enough to leave, the owner of the place started drilling into the kitchen door out in front. The noise was so loud we could not carry a conversation. At this point we changed our order from«for here«, and asked to take it «to go». We waited a solid 40 minutes before getting our meals. We were about to request a refund and leave empty handed, but another customer began yelling at the waitress. I felt bad for the gal and didn’t want to make a scene. Finally we got our food and ran. We went to the duck pond to eat. I got the Gyro sandwich and my mom got the Chicken Sandwich. While the meats were decent, everything else was awful. The rice was as hard as rocks to match the pita bread and the lettuce was wilted and old. We had high hopes, but this just was too much.

Going all out with 5 stars for a great dinner here while heading back home! The extensive menu and salad bar reeled me into coming here when checking what dining options we had in the area. What I really loved was the service, the girl at the register was really doing an excellent job all around and running the show, the entire staff is really on top of their game here, love that! The menu is endless, there are over 15 sandwich options, all of them sounded great, I could come back again and again and always try something different. They were kind enough to let us sample both meat options roasting on the spit, the chicken and tri tip. While both were good, the chicken was exceptional, and though we are all not huge fans of chicken we both got a platter with chicken and a chicken wrap for my son. The platters are an amazing value for $ 10, a trip to the salad bar, the meat, rice, fries(pass) onion rings which were some of the best ever! Salad bar was great, everything very fresh and great flavors, filling enough already. They have a store as well with foods from all around the world where we stocked up on some goodies as well. Great stop while in Temecula, I can’t wait to be back for more!

We had falafel and chicken kabob plates today for lunch. Yummy! Really like the falafel but only had one because it was my wife’s and she wasn’t gonna share more.(But I did give her some of my chicken!) I had the spicy hummus and I really like it, being one to like heat and spice. The rice was good and the garlic paste added just the right tang to my chicken, although a larger cup of it would be nice. I think this was our 3rd visit and we will keep coming here. Lunch as less chaotic than dinner and they were doing a bunch of phone in orders for pick-up. Now, in terms of flavor, the Kabab House on Temecula Parkway does better but I’m still a fan of «Mr. Kabob.»

I really should stop reviewing Mediterranean food. Nothing will ever compare to Döner in San Diego or The Greek Place/Pangaea in Temecula. But dad and I paid this little place a visit. Something you should know about my dad– up until a few months ago before he became a gym rat, his motto was, «Yeah I’m into fitness. Fitness whole pizza in my mouth.» So imagine my surprise when he was COMPLAINING about the huge portions! So yeah– very generous amounts of food. We ordered the same things– the combo plate with schwarma and the tri-tip. He also ordered a small side of falafel. Having to avoid gluten, I chose hummus with cucumber instead of pita with my meal. Dad chose fries. However, a plate was brought out with hummus AND pita. It was determined to be dad’s and the woman apologized and brought out fries. I heard the woman scolding the cooks — they had also messed up my order, and placed pita on my plate. She told them to remake the whole thing, because cross-contamination is dangerous to me. I’m glad she was watching out for me. Oh! The salad! It comes with your meal. I was surprised to see it was self-serve and had a wide assortment of goodies to put on the salad. I really wish they had olives. One issue I had– the dressings weren’t labeled and I also had to ask which dressings gluten free. The woman told me they were all GF, but when I asked if she was sure, she told me to maybe stay away from the ranch. Eeek. I wasn’t too confident, but went with the dressing she described as being Greek. I DID get sick about an hour later, but I attribute that to the Pepsi I drank, so who knows. Anyway– the food– the salad was fabulous. My chicken was moist. Dad complained his chicken was dry– and it did look a lot different from mine. His seemed to be in chunks while mine was in strips. Not sure how that happened. The tri-tip was delicious. The toum and the more runny sauce was also delicious. I’ve had better rice at Pangaea/The Greek Place in Temecula. It seems like boxed rice. I’ve also had better hummus at Pita de Nova in Shreveport. Dad really enjoyed his falafel. I asked him if he wanted to drop the leftovers off at the house before we went shopping, but he said no– he really didn’t like it enough to even finish. I can’t see coming back when I know there are other options in the area. It’s a shame, because the portions are huge. I would be fine with smaller portions of they could fix the things I wasn’t satisfied with.

Surprisingly a great spot of Mediterranean food. Its off the beaten path, but the food is pretty good. If you eat there, you have a trip to the salad bar with your meal. Its $ 3 for any additional trips, but one is enough. They have a great selection over there. The meals are huge enough for sharing. You can tell the pita is home made and it is great with the hummus – another huge serving. You really won’t find this quality and portion size from chain restaurants. The beef kofte was delicious and the beef steak plate was also tasty. Great quality meat. It is a little outdated on the inside and maybe not the most clean feeling. Very unassuming looking from the outside. However, it was decent and you can tell it is family owned and operated. You can probably share a meal with someone here especially if you are going to the salad bar. They also sell some other goods up at the counter which is interesting. It reminds me of Filipino restaurants back in SD which usually sell imported food products. Plenty of seating available too.

Came here for lunch today with a coworker and was not disappointed. The food was really fairly priced and pretty tasty. I got the 3 kabob plate which came with rice, pita, a trip to the salad bar and my choice of fries, hummus or onion rings(I got the hummus). Everything was pretty yummy. My only real gripe is that the hummus was pretty salty and difficult to eat alone. Also, the service is lacking a bit. I asked for a to-go box and never got it so had to go up the register to ask. No big deal, but when there aren’t many other customers in the restaurant, you’d hope for a little more attentiveness. Overall, a pretty legit place for lunch. The chicken and filet kabob is where it’s at!

Located along Jefferson between the Winchester and Rancho California Road exits is this restaurant specializing in Mediterranean fare. Thanks to the recommendation of a fellow Unilocaler, I stopped in for lunch at Mr. Kabob. I’d heard of the exceptional value of their plates, which typically include a meat entrée, pita, rice, choice of side, and a trip to the salad bar. Sounds like a lot, doesn’t it? It was a feast! The Steak Kabob Plate(#7) came with two Filet Mignon skewers plus the extras I mentioned above. I went to town on that salad bar(plenty of choices available) underestimating the amount of food still to be served at the table. Everything on my plates were delicious and filling, to say the least. But the star of the show for me was the house made hummus – I would suggest getting that delightful bit as your side rather than fries or onion rings. Service from the staff was good too. For those interested in cooking some of these dishes or other things at home, they also have a market inside with an array of items(meats, spices, imported goods, etc).

This place is amazing. I LOVE the salad bar!!! Everything tastes great & fresh. I wish i lived closer id come here for the salad bar alone! I ordered the falafel plate with hummus! They give huge portions. A whole circle slice of pita bread about the size of my plate alone! A lot of rice and a good serving amount of hummus. My falafel was the first thing on my plate i had to have a bite of & oh my goodness it was delicious! I didn’t even feel guilty after eating everything. Yes i would come back here every time I’m in the area.
