About a year ago this place was a well kept secret. Great food, generous portions and reasonably priced. We went there last night and could not have been more disappointed. Chicken Parm was served warm, cheese had almost firmed up! Stuffed shells were mushy and meatballs tasted like the cheap frozen kind found at the supermarket. The salad bar was good. The pasta sauce was overly acidic, needed some Alka Seltzer! We won’t be back.

If I could give no stars I would. The location is great, staff are personable. But, the food has absolutely no flavor. I tried to order a salad and the waitress literally argued with me until I gave in and got the soup and salad instead. Salad was brown and wilted and the soup looked horrible. I will never go to this place again. If you’re hungry, I suggest you keep driving right on by!

I’m in agreement with the reviews from most others– this is an average place with average food. We actually prefer to order take out or platters for parties then add additional spices. Don’t get me wrong this place is good just isn’t going to wow you

I still follow Bella Roma on FB and they post pictures of the food every day and I can honestly say NONE of it looks appealing !

This is a cute local restaurant that needs more attention. Much of the food lacks any excitement or spark… tending more to the older, more bland palates of the clientele. I really like this place, but the food is sub par. Anything with chicken seems to be poor quality tenders or strips… the salad bar is simply depressing. Portions are large but then again, you probably won’t care. I have visited it many times, and the menu has always been the same, and the food constantly depressing. Now it is a last resort. Recently ordered prime rib that was overlooked, mostly fat and about ½ inch thick at most… about the same as a thin slices pork chop. Brighten the place up, change the attitude and get some real Italian food please. The pasta is heartbreaking… canned and bland is the standard. This place could be so much more than it is, but right now it seems neglected and dirty. Sorry guys

lets start with the good. Restaurant was clean, albeit a little dated and dark. Waitress was very good, personable, friendly and attentive. I give her 5 stars. even the bus boy was so good that we tipped him also. Salad bar was ok, items were fresh. soup looked awful so we didnt even try it. Now the bad: my wife ordered steak tips, fom the Sunday specials menu. Nope, they had run out. at 6:00 on a sunday, theyre out of steak tips? ok, no biggie, she ordered chicken broccoli alfredo. asked for ziti, got angel hair. again, no biggie. Alfredo sauce was hard to find, since there was barely any on the plate. Also it was extremely bland. I ordered chicken saltimboca. Asked for angel hair pasta, got ziti. No big deal. Sauce was like water, very bland. chicken was overcooked as was the fake prosciutto on top. One son got veal parm. He didnt complain but didnt really like it either. Their red sauce is the worst i have ever had. Canned sauce is ten times better. My other son got the chicken margherita. again, overcooked with bland sauce. he ate one bite and wouldnt touch it after. brought the leftovers home for another son, he ate some of it and was sick the whole night. My wife and i also were ill. We were considering this place for a function later this year but now we will steer clear. do yourselves a favor, go to the store and buy a box of Prince pasta and a can of Hunts tomato sauce, you will be much happier.

To write or not to write… that is the question. Had lunch buffet for $ 9.99 It included eggplant with cheese on it, and lots of flavorable red sauce. And I had a salad with kind of on the edge of fresh olive oil. They also had fruit type deserts — bread etc For the money it’s fine. It is a bit dark inside, but ok. I’ll be back as long as I don’t get sick from buffet ie food left on steaming trays too long. Oh they had grated cheese, salt and pepper… to spice up the food, which I did. Give it 3.5 stars. What can one expect for this price?

If possible I would rate Bella Roma a 3.5 but given the choice of 3 or 4, I have to go with 3: I was not crazy about their tomato sauce, and come on, this is an Italian restaurant. That said, they have amazing deals, a large menu and a decent soup/salad bar included with most entrees. The salad was very good as was the Minestrone soup. I ordered the Chicken Parm: The portion was good sized, the chicken was delicious, my only semi-complaint is the tomato sauce I found a bit bland(Still very edible on a main dish, just not something I would rave about on plain spaghetti). Service was not bad, but not great. I would definitely return and try a few different menu items.

My boyfriend and I went here during the first few weeks of our relationship many months ago. I must have been too love struck to realize how terrible it was that time. Now 9 months later we returned for the 2nd time, we won’t be back. The dining room is super dim, the food– cold and the salad bar was nothing to write home about. Our waitress was slow and lazy, and to top it all off no toilet paper in the restroom!

I can’t believe this isn’t higher rated! One of the best. Stuffed shells are great, and the salad bar is a filling meal on its own.

This used to be a decent place to get some salad & a meal. It’s just gross now. Salad bar is basic. Lettuce, tomato, cuke, onion and were fresh. All of the other items other than the beets & some peppers were gross & weird. What sort of looked like Minestrone soup was nasty. Canned would’ve been a huge quality upgrade. Most of what was in the soup was the bogus leftovers from the«weird» salad bar items. They’ve got a 9.95 thing for any menu item but they’re menu is horrible & so is the food. We got 4 entrees; chicken marsala, veal marsala, chicken scampi & chicken limonne. All sauces were oily. Meat was dry & overcooked on everything. In hindsight, we should of just left as soon we seen the salad bar but gave it a shot. Bad idea. My 14 yr old actually vomited on the way out after eating the pasta. Service was standard, other than being seated directly in front of the waitress station where another server & a bus boy were awkwardly staring at us. This place needs an intervention big time. Owner needs to figure it out quick or this place is done. Eat at your own risk!!!

Went here for Mother’s Day, there where 8 of us. We ordered off of the Mother’s Day list. My wife got the lobster and shrimp rav. Some of us got the haddock parm. I forgot what the rest of us ordered. I got the prime rid(witch Thay used to be known for) but this prime rib left a lot to be desired. The juice that it came with was wright of of a beef base jar, very nasty to say the lest. Now lets talk about the lobster thing, the sauce that was on it was over cooked and broken down. My side was pasta broccoli and the pasta was under cooked and full of garlic. Where is chef Ramsay when you need him or should I say when Bella Roma needs him? I think the owner needs to take a GOODLOOK at the back of the house and find a new chef before she GOESUNDER. PLESEDOSOMTHINGBEFOREWELOSEANOTHERPLACETOEAT.

Gross!!! This place has some of the worst food I have ever had. Both my grandfather and I hated it here, and he hardly ever complains. The salad bar and soup bar didn’t even offer anything I would think about putting into my body. It looked dirty, and none of the temperatures seemed correct. The entire salad and soup bar just screamed– DANGER, DANGER, DANGER! The décor is outdated, but that’s not the problem. You can have a clean outdated restaurant and that’s fine, but this place was dirty. There was dust all over everything, it definitely needed to be deep cleaned. The service was fine, but everything else was really disappointing. I honestly don’t know how they remain open.

I used to come here all the time as a teenager and thought I would take my daughter out for dinner. I remember the soup and salad bar being wonderful and it was bad. First thing about a salad bar is everything should be cold and it was so warm. The potato salad had turned from the mayo being warm. All the veggies were soggy, there were no toppings i would want on my salad. A salad bar should have cheese of some kind, tomato, cucumber, olives but no it had beets and cranberry sauce and I couldn’t eat it. I was hoping the soup was good but all it consisted of was spaghetti tomato broth and beans. No flavor at all. I ordered the tortellini Alfredo which I make at home all the time. My daughter ordered the fishermans platter. My tortellini was soft on top and hard on the bottom like they got left in a pan and not stirred so they stuck to the bottom and they were clearly frozen tortellini so the sauce which is supposed to be a creamy cheese sauce was just cream. No flavor, spices, nothing. Like someone poured milk on it that’s how tiny it was. My daughter barely touched her meal. The oil it was fried in clearly hadn’t been changed in a while. The only good thing was the service. I had a delightful older waitress who was very sweet and if it was not for her I would have sent the food back but I took it home to feed the dogs. I just wanted out of there. It’s gone down hill and it breaks my heart.

I went here for the 2nd time for Mother’s day and i have to say i would be perfectly happy if i never went again. I ordered and chicken cesar salad and the waitress says«oh you dont want to do that, you want to order a meal and then it comes with soup and salad». Ummm excuse me. Dont tell me what i want. And then my salad came and it was covered with olives??? Gross. The bread was super hard. I was just not even a little bit impressed with this place and the nasty looks i got from another waitress going by me didn’t help either. Not worth the drive for me that’s for sure.

We hadnt been back there in a few years but I had fond memories of their great prime rib, italian dishes and salad bar. We were seated right away and were told they were out of prime rib. This was at 6 pm on a Saturday night… how could they have run out so quickly? We should have left. But we stayed, I ordered the steak tips, the wife ordered a chicken parm We helped ourseves to the soup and salad bar. The soup was some sort of Italian soup but it had nothing in it except broth and a little spaghetti. The salad choices were fine. The steak tips were tasty but very chewey. The side dish of pasta was awful… the same sauce used on my pasta was on my wifes chicken parm and it was completely devoid of any spices… no garlic, no oregano, nothing. She found the chicken to be chewey and the awful sauce made it inedible. The dessert on the menu included in the $ 12.95 special was supposed to be strawberry shortcake but we were brought indian pudding. This place has gone way downhill — we won’t be back!
