I love going here for lunch. Everyone is incredible nice and the food is fantastic. I highly recommend the lunch specials, I always get the chicken salad

Pozi’s is hands down my favorite Greek food. This place is really a gem. The owners are always there and they are super hands on, you can tell they really love what they do. I always get the Gyros Wrap Combo with the homemade chips. The wrap is packed full of meat, tatziki, onion, and tomato. The quality and freshness is evident. The chips are amazing, the fries are good but they don’t compare to the chips. The portions are huge at Pozi’s, a great value for the price! I really love all the different kinds of ice tea they offer. They always encourage trying as many flavors as you want! If this place was closer to my neighborhood, I would probably go every week. You have to try Pozi’s if you love Greek food, you won’t be disappointed!

I hesitate to write a sensational review for one reason only… I fear that everyone will now come for breakfast and I won’t be able to get a table on Sundays! My friend and I stumbled upon this place for breakfast after walking around on Ventura Blvd and this was one of the few places open where I live. They have a nice selection of breakfast items and serving breakfast is new for this café. One bite of my Zeus egg dish with potatoes and sausage and I was in LOVE. I have breakfast out nearly every Sunday and this has become my new favorite place! The ingredients used are the best quality, the flavors are perfect and it’s prepared fresh. The owner Carlo is also a pleasure to chat with. I’m a chef and am quite particular about where I eat and how it’s presented and this place easily gets 5 stars.

I used to eat here when Peter Pozi owned it and he has since passed away maybe 10 years ago by now and it was a great Greek Restaurant back then. Since then it changed hands a few times and maybe 4 years ago it looked like it was on it’s last legs and appeared run down and I had a bad experience and haven’t been back until today. Today– I went in after 4 years and when I walked in I was delighted to see it was fixed up warmly and nicely and employees were wearing nice Pozi Uniform Shirts & Aprons… very classy and looked very clean and fresh and it was busy for lunch. I ordered the Gyro Combo Lunch Special and it was great(under $ 10 with a side and drink included). They even brew their own flavored Iced Tea… very good. Good service and the food was like how it was in the old days… very good. I already recommended to my friends and family who used to go and stopped due to previous owners whom ran it to the bottom… to give it another go. Pozi’s has been resurrected by owners whom seem to care about appearence of the restaurant and how the quality of the food is. I was impressed. I’ll be back!

Apparently this place has an unspoken dress code you have to abide by so you’re not insulted nor discriminated against the moment you walk in. The owner made such a rude comment to me. :-(I’ve heard nothing but great things about this place. After a workout at the gym, I said, ok, I’ll stop by here. I ordered a large French fry, which shouldn’t be my first meal after a workout(lol) BUT when I told the man at the cashier I was there for pick up, he said to me «you look like you’re the type of person who would order a large fry and ask for extra ketchup». My first reaction was WTFork I’m not even fat?! But I kept my cool and asked if he was the owner; usually business owners are pretty confident and think they can say whatever the fork they want. So disrespectful and so unprofessional for my first visit. I will not be eating here again. The fries I ordered, which were so hyped up, weren’t even that great.

After getting to know the owners of this place after a few bad visits here, I’m changing my review. They are a hard working family just trying to make an living in these hard times. Everyone has their good days and bad days. My first visit here is what made me love that this place was so close to work. I’m glad to see they have made changes.

Had breakfast here this morning — they have an AMAZING selection of foods for breakfast! It’s quick, delicious, and so fairly priced! It’s open bright-and-early, and they’ll even let you order it ahead of time so you can pick it up on your way to work! You gotta try it the ham!

I discovered this place this week and I’ve already had lunch here twice! The first time I went with the gyro plate which was great but a little heavy for me so day 2 I went with the gyro salad! Its light, its healthy, and it tastes great! Its hidden so its a little hard to find but its totally worth trying! I read a few reviews about bad customer service but they have been nice both times I’ve been inside.

15 years ago, I used to have Pozi’s every day after school from Portola. 15 years later, I realized I was missing out on great food. Definitely a restaurant where the food is like home cooking. Great staff too

Ordered the Supreme Gyro Plate. Service was fantastic. You order at the counter, but the table service is comparable to a mom-and-pop sit down restaurant. While we waited for our food, we were given a basket of shelled peanuts to munch on. How thoughtful! The three of us that ordered the plates got our salads at the same time. Nice basic salad with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onion, feta cheese and balsamic vinegar dressing. We then all got our entrees at the same time. The gyros were definitely a bit different than I’ve come to expect, as it appears theirs is ground differently than the otherwise strangely compiled strips of that I love at other gyro places. They’re definitely using leaner meat here, which does reflect in the taste and texture, but is made up for by a little bit more seasoning. But Pozi’s touts the freshness and quality of their meat, and I’m inclined to believe them. Both types of gyro were tender, well-portioned, seasoned just right, and quite flavorful. The rice pilaf was fluffy, as was the warm, buttery pita bread they served, which went well with the seemingly in-house hummus served with the plate, which I thought was rather delicious! It’s definitely hard to find good hummus in LAIMO, but I was quite satisfied with Pozi’s.

I love Greek on a good day, and generally don’t mind Halal Med disguised as Greek. But this is just plain goodness. Simple, unpretentious Mediterranean food. They make fresh teas, the Gyro I had was good sized and not over done with filing. We’re talking large chunks of meat here. Also, their rice is incredibly flavorful. Seriously hearty portions, very reasonable prices, and the family who runs the place is just dang sweet. Go here. If you don’t like it, there’s something wrong with you.

So I wanted to try a new Mediterranean spot near my house, I searched Unilocal reviews and came across this place. I decided to order a chicken Kabob plate, since it’s always my Go-2 …and boy am I glad I did!!! The chicken was perfectly cooked, SO Flavorful and tasty! The hummus was fresh and not from a can!!! I substituted rice for a Greek salad to avoid the extra carbs, the salad was Delish!!! And let me tell you the pita bread was so soft and warm, it was absolutely perfect! I can’t wait to go back and try their desserts and their fresh juices/smoothies! All I can say is if you are looking for fresh and satisfying food… make your way here .NOW!

Greek Salad was very well seasoned and Falafel plate had humus, rice and a nice amount of rice. Portions are plentiful. Also the lamb burger was excellent.

I was a bit skeptical when I first walked in. When I eat out and spend money I like to go to a sit down restaurant that is full service. I’m not a big fan of the hole in the wall vibe and I usually do not come into places like these. Self service soda fountain with plastic cups even for when we’re «eating in»? A usual no thank you would be my reply. Of course a meal is only as enjoyable as the company and the company wanted to eat here. I ordered the Pozi Gyro Plate with beef-lamb. It did come with a side salad and I was a bit disappointed with how it came. It arrived after a good 10 minutes after ordering and sitting down. Which isn’t too bad if it weren’t for the fact that the gyro plate arrived about a minute after. Congratulations on getting the food order right but a little timing would be awesome. For the side salad itself, it was a good variety of vegetables and I did like the amount of cucumbers present, but the feta was very lacking in flavor. Not to mention I thought Greek salads were supposed to be on the more vinaigrette side in regards to flavor. I’m no expert nor do I eat Mediterranean food all too often, but this a first that I’ve been served ranch or some white sauce on my salad. I didn’t spend much time on the salad partly because my food was already out and I wasn’t all too amazed. The portions were very generous so there’s no complaint there and the meat was fairly well seasoned. The rice pilaf was good but as a person of Asian descent, I think I’ll take a good side of rice with any meal and I’ll be happy. It does come with a nice dollop of hummus, but there are few hummus out there that actually tastes well to my tastebuds and truth to be told I do not know which taste is how it’s supposed to be. So I’ll just say that I wasn’t a fan and I just ate around it. Now what they should really include more on the plate was the grilled tomato. Oooh, now that was a nice refreshing bite. For as long as it lasted anyways. Half a tomato just isn’t enough :( All-in-all service was nonexistent, which was to be expected. I’ll give a big thumbsup as a place to order takeout but as a restaurant, it’s a big ehh. Decent food and okay prices.

What an absolute delight this place is. I think I have just found my new haunt for a quick, healthy meal. The sign by the door says«best Greek salad in town» and they’re not exaggerating. Fantastic. Fresh, crisp, flavorful… and more cheese than the last five Greek salads I had combined. Freshly made potato chips, fried on the spot. Delicious falafel. And fresh, warm pita bread to accompany our salads. I am a big advocate of supporting our local businesses — especially restaurants — and that’s easy to do when they’re as good as Pozi’s!

I came in here for Lunch on a Monday. The food was fresh and tasted excellent. I had the Chicken Luleh plate. Chicken was tasty, rice was excellent and the salad was fresh. The salad dressing was tasty. I visit this restaurant every time I go to my CPA. This is a good treat for me. Come check it out, you won’t regret it. The food is made fresh to order with love! My kind of restaurant!

Just finished my food from here and it was delicious and authentic. This isn’t my first time around. I use to come here many, many years ago after school for curly fries from Mr. Pozi. Oh the memories. He wasn’t there tonight it was another gentleman. Very nice man. I asked for his name and he said«Just call me Pozi, it’s easier that way». For myself I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki. It came with pita, hummus, rice, and a salad. The chicken was tender and juicy. The rice had some hard bits in it but no big deal. I couldn’t finish the salad, the rice, nor the hummus & pita only because it was such a big portion. Also ordered the kids chicken nuggets, gyro, and of course had to order a large order of curly fries. All of this cost around $ 30 — definitely not bad considering it was a lot of food.

I use to come to Pozi’s all the time when I was single and it was just my roommate and I living together. Everytime we wanted something to eat and were lazy we would always just say, «Pooozziiiii’s» long and slow as if we were stoned with the munchies. Once either one of us said that we knew right away that we were about to grub and the food would be on another level. Well for some reason we changed from the days of eating out and a freezer full of «Hungry Man» microwave dishes in 2011 to trying to eat a little better and exercise in 2014. My roommate & I longer live together but I always pass by Pozi’s and tell my girl, «Pozi’s use to be me & Calm’s spot!» so one day she said she wanted to try it and my eyes lit up. I guess now it’s under new management from the days we use to go but the place still looks the same and the new owner is AWESOME! The food taste the same and they have added a few more items to the menu wish is definitely a plus. I really like the many different organic tea options they have on the side counter too. I ordered the gyro combo with fries, dolmas and a drink while my girl ordered the beef kebob smash which is a no cheese greek quesadilla and a brownie. Everything was exactly as I remembered it and I had an opportunity to sample most of the organic teas which were also very good. I believe I made her a believer and it felt good to be back at Pozi’s, once again! This time I won’t abandon you for 3 years. OOOOO 5 out of 5 Afros
