The menu looks great with a large selection to choose from. I chose the carnitas tacos and chips and salsa. The tacos were delicious with lots of pork, garnish, Jalapenos torreados and fresh limes. I wish it were it closer to Santa Fe, so I could try it out more often!

Very good food find today at lunch for our group of 6 in from Dallas area. We had a mix of foods. I had steak fajitas, several fried jalapeños, and a Mex Coke. We all shared a fried icecream dessert and loved that also. Great service here from entire staff. We will surely return. Thanks folks. Well done.

We tried this restaurant for the first time tonight and I was delighted. Had the shrimp enchiladas with green chile and couldn’t be happier. A basic restaurant. order up front and they bring your food to the table. Not fancy but over the top good and authentic. I can’t wait to come back again!

You’d be hard pressed to find better Mexican food. The chili rellenos and chicken chimichangas were among the best I can remember. This place must be where the locals go for good, cheap food. The family at the table next to us seemed to know everyone who walked in. Next time I’m in Taos, you’ll find me here for at least one meal.

Boy do I wish we had Mexican food like this at home. It’s no fine dining but they food could easily qualify. Tons of variety there was nothing we did not like. The Tres Leche’s cake was very good but very sweet. Shrimp Veracruse was awesome as was the Ceviche. Enjoyed sitting on the patio in the NM sun. Very friendly staff.

Just as good as their south side location. This was the first one we stopped into one late October evening. Road weary and hungry we were ready to settle for anything and stopped in to this unknown to us restaurant. As a good friend says«The universe unfolds as it should» and it blessed us with some of the best Mexican food we have ever tasted! Visiting both locations is on our must do list anytime we visit Taos. Stop in and grab a meal, you’ll be blessed as well!

The staff here are incredibly friendly and the service very good. I really enjoyed the chips, salsa and guacamole; the latter had a nice little kick to it. You can get full or half size plates. They serve Mexican coke(real cane sugar.) I ordered the chicken enchiladas with both the red and green sauces. The chicken was moist and green sauce tasty, but overall I thought this meal was under-seasoned. Some others members of my group oohed and aahed over the calamari and raved about the fish. Perhaps it is best to stick to seafood here?

We went to Taos yesterday, and a friend recommended this place to us. Maybe I’m missing something, but this was some of the blandest Mexican food I’ve ever had. I got the chiles rellenos and my husband got the cheese enchiladas. Neither were bad, but they were far from great. The chiles rellenos were very bready and the cheese tasted like nothing. The red chile on the enchiladas also lacked flavor and had no heat at all. The refried beans tasted like they came straight out of a can. For $ 30, I expected the food to taste better. The employees were nice, though.

At first i thought it was a little pricy but when we got our meals i was like hell no… this place is teriffic. Thw food is excellent and the serving size was great too. We ordered: fish tacos. I give it 7.5÷10 Shrimp camaron a la diabla 8⁄10 Shrimp azrec quesadilla 9⁄10. Wish this was a little more spicy. Very happy to have found this place after a long drive.

Great, no frills restaurant. Visited over spring break and had a number of young adults in tow. Easy ordering process, great service! We had the help and guidance from Jorge… nephew to the owner who recently started working at the restaraunt. Jorge went above and beyond to recommend his favorite dishes and then made sure our drinks or anything else we needed was taken care of. Food was great. We live in San Antonio so we didn’t really want Mexican food but we were told this was a solid restaraunt., we definitely agree. If you are looking for great Mexican food with a laid back attitude, no significant waits(not like orlandos… We were told 2hours)… Sthis is the place to go… ordered and seated in less than 10 minutes. Easy. Breezy.

We ate here for dinner after a day of skiing at Taos Valley. Great food. You go up to the counter to order and they deliver to your table. The food came out very fast. They had lots of vegetarian choices. My chimichanga was great. We will go back.

We always make a stop here during our annual Taos ski trip. It’s not much to look at but the food is YUM. We like the authentic Mexican style street tacos.

Everything you’d expect from an NM-influenced Mexican menu. Menudo, horchata, fajitas, mariscos, enchiladas, burritos, and a good selection of bottled Mexican beers. Fast counter service. Unlimited roasted jalapeños and limes to garnish your meal. All the tacos are delicious — if I had a complaint it’s that the meat is under-spiced, but the jalapeños are there to take care of that problem. Great atmosphere — the walls are lined with Pancho Villa photos.

Amazing flavors! Great chicken fajitas and awesome beans! The salsa and guacamole were some of the best I’ve ever had. Corn tortillas are not homemade but overall a great place to eat.

I might not pick it for date night but the food is real and real good. A large restaurant with a school cafeteria vibe. Perfect for families and large groups.

The tacos carnitas here rendered my boyfriend speechless. He actually could not speak for the duration of the meal. My fish tacos were pretty darn good too(though why did I think I wanted to order fish in the middle of the desert? Next time, carnitas for sure.). The sauces, which are specific to each dish, are magical. If we actually lived in Taos, we would be incredibly fat and happy, due only to this place. Also, it is very affordable and the staff were excellent and friendly. Go here. Now.

Delicious food at a great price. We did takeout for five. I had a vegetarian meal that was really tasty. Others had different shrimp dishes that they raved about– particularly the sauces. The food was very fresh.

Friendly staff. Very good food. More Mexico dishes with several seafood options. Had the Chile plate and loved it. Large chunks of lean pork and a couple of fresh roasted jalapeños from the pepper bar near the door. Large portions so there are some great leftovers ready for lunch the next day. 2nd time eating here and we will be back again.

A cheap, friendly, simple and authentic eatery. Food is delicious, staff is awesome and it’s just a stone throw away from wonderful Taos center. Don’t let the outside deceive you and walk in, order from the screens and let this Mexican kitchen surprise you!

We were a little early to check into our hotel, so the front desk receptionist recommended we go to lunch here. This little restaurant was voted best of Taos for Mexican food for many consecutive years. You order at the counter and they deliver the food to your table. It was packed during lunch with locals — good sign. I had a chicken chimichanga that came with guac, rice, beans, sour cream. It had too much cheese inside for my taste, but my husband thought it was very good. He had the tacos and said they were delicious.
