World Of Beer

I like the food and the beer, but before I came, I looked at Unilocal and they said they allowed smoking on the patio. It appears they changed their policies to force smokers to go out to the parking lot. I was already on the fence about not second whiskey so this puts me firmly in the Nope column.

The beer selection is above average. Not the most I’ve ever seen but still enough that you can try something new every time. Located in the heart of soho with outdoor seating, come here on a nice day and enjoy some drinks in a fun atmosphere. The food is average. I had a flatbread which was pretty tasty and Mac and cheese which was rather tasteless and lacked seasoning. Overall is till enjoy this place and come frequently to this location. The staff is always friendly during happy hour and dinner times. Went once late at night and it was packed, service was much slower but that’s also to be expected after 9 or so. Probably more so than usual on this particular Thursday because it was st pattys day

Really fun atmosphere but the lines need to be cleaned. You can taste it when you order a beer. Sorry but been in the industry and have worked straight for breweries and you know when they aren’t. World of beer we love you… clean your lines!!!

This is probably my most favorite outdoor bar in all of Tampa. Very cozy, very cool, TONS of beer available as well. Better age mix here compared to most of the bars in SoHo as well…

In my opinion this is the best casual place in SOHO to grab a pint. It works well after work, after a run, on a date, or on a weekend afternoon with the wife and kiddo. They usually have good specials and decent/​consistent food options. Most importantly it doesn’t get too rowdy and it is clean.

Large beer selection. Pretty good menu with happy hour and late night (after 10) specials on many days of the week. The Edison bulbs made football watching challenging for me. I have light sensitive eyes.
The servers were friendly and accommodative. It’s a relaxed atmosphere. A little chainy and corporate feeling for me, but consistency and comfort were pretty solid.
It’s an open eating and imbibing experience along happening South Howard Ave in South Tampa. Many competitors are in walking distance so you can mix things uo and bop around if that’s your style. Lots of beers on tap and many more in bottles. I am high on life, but the offerings are impressive.

Decided to grab a drink here since I was craving a mixed draught. I’ve been to several WOB establishments and this was the first one that was completely all outdoor seating. I enjoy drinking outside; especially on a nice cool night, so I was pretty excited to just enjoy a drink and people watch. Situated right across from the Taco Bus and just diagonal to McDinton’s, you get a nice view of all the people traffic going up and down Howard.
I typically get a Black and Tan but decided to try the Black and Blue (Guiness floated atop a blueberry wheat ale). Definitely enjoyed the drink. I would have gotten a few more but I was limited to 1 drink because the service was incredibly slow. It was far from busy as everyone was waiting in line at McDinton’s so I didn’t understand what was taking the waitresses so long to acknowledge our group. It took about 15 minutes before I even got a menu or a hello. After getting our drinks, our waitress was nowhere to be found. We even had to find another waitress to close our tab for us. This is a stark difference from the new WOB on Fowler. They were quite attentive there, and really spend time talking about what new beers they had (as well as their personal recommendations).
I recommend taking an Über here as street parking can be limited at times. Or if you’re in the area like myself, go ahead and take walk on over.

This is a douche haven, their beer selection is ok (mostly because the have so many so there is bound to be something you like) and it gets packed. I personally would rather go somewhere that’s not as obnoxious, but it fits well in the area it’s situated in.

Lot of variety to choose from, staff is friendly, little crowded on weekend but worth the price and service.

If you enjoy premium import/​microbrew beers and you are on South Howard, this is the spot to go. Their prices are reasonable and the staff is well trained. They also have a pretty cool giant pretzel.

4 stars for soho WOB. Excellent people watching and a beautiful spot to grab a good beer. Live music on most weekends and a nice outdoor scene. This bar is not enormous, but if you can find seating it is worth the wait. There is no liquor at this location.
Parking is free in the back of the bar, but if the lot is full you can also find plenty of parking down the street. It is located in central Soho. Food is available. The pretzel is gigantic and the tater tots ($ 2.50) are a nice snack if you’re just looking to nosh. Wings are meh, and other food choices are just so-​so. The real winner is the beer list! They usually tap some good stuff and the list is available online or on the app. I highly suggest signing up for the loyalty club since you get rewards and the game is fun :)

With 50 craft beers on tap and over 500 bottles of brews in the cooler, any brewskie aficanado is bound to leave satisfied. I had the beer sampler here with the Delirium Tremens, Radenberger Pilsner, sea dog wild blueberry ale, and my buddy had the cigar city brown ale and Breckenridge vanilla Porter nitro. The bartenders are pretty knowledgeable and helpful but can be rushed when this place gets busy and really can’t take the time to help you pick out a beer like at other world of beer bars. This world of beer has a tiny indoor area which is basically just a waiting room for the bathroom but a good secret bar with a less busy place to wait for a drink. The outdoor patio is kind of small and this place gets busy quickly. Sometimes it can take a long time to get a drink. I usually like trying their beer of the month which is a good deal for $ 3. World of beer does a trivia night on Tuesday’s and a running club on Thursday’s 7−9PM where you get a free pint after a 5k run. Fridays and Saturday’s they usually have a live band playing. Not as big as other wobs but it serves as a nice addition to Soho.

Great beer choices, nice open setting and good service. Didn’t eat just wanted some cold drinks after dinner.

This is the first world of beer that I have been to that’s totally outside. Different concept but definite works for central Florida.

Need I say more and may I recommend the pretzel WITH the beer cheese?

It’s a World of Beer, so there is definitely a wide variety of choices of beer here. This location is VERY small with most of its seating outside. Parking is also VERY minimal here so be mindful of that.
The service I have received when I have been here has been… meh. I am not too impressed. This bar is also located in the heart of SoHo so you know what that means… SoHo douchebaggery is abound.

I don’t even drink beer and I like this place. So, that’s sayin’ something. First off, I love that this place is outside. Those crisp fall evenings I’m hopin’ for are gonna be a blast here. Now, let’s talk about their cider selection for all you cider-​heads like myself. They have ACE cider– which is amazing. You have to try it. They have a lot of cider options, which is nice and refreshing for a place in soho. Sorry, but I’m not on the REDS train. Now, they also have live music a lot too, which just adds to the whole hipstery-​cider-​beer drinkin’ vibe.
Now, if I could just find some nice men in plaid with beards to show up there for eye candy… dare to dream.
But in all seriousness, this place is rockin’ for soho.

I love how open this place is. I didn’t even check out the covered portion, but it seemed like the majority of the seating was outside. There’s bar style tables overlooking the sidewalk (similar to a coffee shop, but without the window part), bar seating facing the bar, high top tables, and comfier lounge seating if you want to cuddle up with your beer.
I enjoyed relaxing and taking in the sights of Tampa. The most entertaining had to be the ENORMOUS line across the street for some sort of crazy unlimited happy hour. I learned a lot about Florida fashion from observing this.
Anyway, the most important feature here is obviously the beer. There’s a long list of quality beers, and I’m told it’s the best selection in Florida. There is a happy hour here too, but it’s only $ 1 off and this doesn’t seem to draw the same scantily clad crowd as across the street (thankfully).
I should stop writing because I’m starting to sound too much like a grandma, but moral of the story… definitely worth checking out if you’re a beer lover like myself!

Seemingly much smaller selection than the Westchase location, bartender wasn’t very friendly (more concerned with her boyfriend and their laptop) and the place smelled of stale vomit. Oh, and no Franziskaner?
Very unimpressive. Won’t be returning.
