U-Haul Moving & Storage – West Tampa

Good quality and clean trucks, BUT extremely poor nonchalant customer service and employee organization/​teamwork. Waited in line 45 minutes (we arrived before a group of people and they were assisted first) and it could have been more if my boyfriend didn’t approach the guy who seemed the one in charge that day. Only one star because of the trucks’ conditions.

I used their U-​Box pods solution to move my furniture out of state, and the outcome was disastrous. my new furniture arrived in a very bad shape, ripped leather couches, missing legs on the love seat so now my couch stands lopsided, scratched night stands, a hole in my brand new mattress, a huge hole in the wood in my entertainment center, the wood on my barstoools are scratched! The only thing that arrived safely was my TV and I think it arrived safely by mistake! I purchased pads from U HAUL so that they can cover my furniture, and they did not use any of them! When the UPOD arrived the pads were sitting in the back of the truck! Most of my living and bed room furniture was damaged. I still have the receipts to my furniture as it is still BRAND NEW I just got married recently in October and we are even still financing some of the furniture! Now I am paying for damaged furniture! I called U-​haul, and they delegated the issue on

and they delegated the issue on the individual helper, I called the helper and he said he’s not a real company, and has no insurance for damaged furniture. I called the insurance and reported a claim, and they said they are not sure when they can get back to me… Both Movinghelp and Uhaul representatives said if I want to resolve the issue I need to seek legal action, and that is exactly what I am going to do!!! I’m going to file a lawsuit on all of them to at least have my $ 3000 back for my furniture and the 1800 that I paid for them to transport my furniture so i can buy new stuff! this service is a scam. they all go under U-​Haul, but when you try to complain nobody is responsible and keep pointing fingers to who is! On top of that the movers that came and moved my damaged furniture were asking for tips! I took photos of all the damages!
