Great service and great food. Had a flight delayed then cancelled. Had an opportunity to have dinner and breakfast here. Food was outstanding and fair price. Staff was attentive and fast. Great experience.

Great place to grab a beer and bite before boarding a plane. The chicken quesadilla is my favorite; Big enough to share and the ingredients taste so fresh.

So you’re at the airport and you want something to eat. Most times, it’s OK food with mediocre service. Not the case here. We came here early in the lunch hour before our afternoon flight left. I ordered a flat-bread, my wife the salad. Wow! I was pretty impressed! The food was really good. The portions were generous and the flat bread was cooked perfectly. It had a nice mix of ingredients. I had to remind myself I was eating at an airport. Service was really good. Our waitress checked in on us regularly and was very friendly. Overall, a very impressive airport dining experience. And how often does that happen?

Ehhhhhhh. I had an hour before my flight so I stopped in for a martini and a snack. I ordered the seafood bisque, which really could have been called seafood soup because it was very thin, not creamy like every other bisque I’ve had. Service was incredibly slow, despite the place not being very busy. The martini was good, very strong. I probably will not stop in again unless I’m desperate.

If I could give it less of a rating I would. Here is the text of the conversation I just had here: Me: «I’d like the steak and eggs» Waitress: «how would you like your steak and eggs»? Me: «Medium Rare and scrambled egg whites» Waitress: «we don’t have egg whites» Me: «what do you mean you don’t have egg whites, do you have whole eggs?» Waitress: «yes» Me: «Well then you have egg whites…» Waitress: «I know but we don’t have the stove to cook them, understand?» Me: «no, I have no idea what you’re talking about honestly… Do you have a griddle?» Waitress: «Yes» Me: «well then what the hell are you talking about?» Waitress: «they just can’t make them» Me: «that is literally the most idiotic thing I’ve ever heard» I got up and left.

Want to rate it a 2.5 but don’t have that option. Service is very slow. Drinks are over priced. The food is not bad though. The bartender was nice but you can tell the position is overwhelming. I think this bar needs to invest in younger qualified staff members. I’m not saying get rid with the old. I’m saying they need to add more fast paced employees. Especially at an airport where people are usually in a rush for a flight. The bar gets very tight. Too many chairs for the bar area. Staff besides the bartender are not friendly. I would say go to green iguanas a couple feet away if it’s not packed.

Service, 5 star server on our visit. Food was delivered quickly and with a pleasant demeanor. Food quality… notsomuch.(yes one word). Front of house can’t control what comes out of back of house nor can they control prices. It’s a mixed review. You’re at the airport so prices will be higher, but the quality shouldn’t drop right? Best bet… come here to get liquored up with good service. If you want to enjoy your meal, goto a different terminal and try chili’s.

My favorite spot every single time here! The crab salad is the best. My server was nice and friendly, love it here, will come back and recommend. Keep up good work. Thanks

I’ve reviewed this restaurant before, but yesterday’s episode deserves another review. Sam Snead’s should recruit their staff from the McDonald’s, they’d probably get better help than their current management. Sam Snead’s is the only«restaurant» at the Jet Blue Terminal at Tampa International, so there’s not a lot of choices. I typically have a meal there, before boarding my flights back to Boston each month. After some experimentation, I’ve finally discovered a menu item that’s decent … a «chopped salad with steak», which is served with an excellent honey mustard/lime dressing. I actually look forward to a fresh, light meal before taking my flights. So last night was«fly to Boston» time. I was running late, but as soon as I sat down, I ordered my usual. 10 minutes later, it was served. The salad was not exactly«chopped» … it was a combination of chopped and field greens. OK, no big deal … it’s all lettuce. It’s always been served with the dressing on the side, but not this time. I took one bite and asked the server why the dressing was different. «Oh, it’s always served with a balsamic vinegarette», she says. Oh really? Not the last 8 times I’ve had it ! I didn’t have time to re-order because of time constraints, so I ate it with the balsamic … it wasn’t terrible. What happened next was the kicker. I had to find the served to pay my check and make my flight. She was talking with the manager when I found her and he asked«how was dinner». I told him, not good. I explained why. He agreed that the salad was supposed to be served with the Lime dressing and of course, the original server changed her tune and agreed with him. Not what she had tried to tell me 15 minutes before. What was the Manager’s response? «Oh, sorry» and he walked away. Hey Manager! Get a clue! That’s not how to handle a complaint. I know managing a restaurant at an airport can be a challenge, but at least try to show some modicum of pride in the product you put out.

There are not many choices in the small A terminal at this airport. Because the Mexican restaurant was crowded I walked and found Sam Sneads. Not as busy and menu looked fine The service was very quick which for an airport is very good. The iced tea came out in 30 seconds and had a nice tropical taste to it The crab Louie salad came out in three minutes and was also good. Decent amounts of crab on top. the remoulade was tasty and so was the ranch dressing

Pretty good food with excellent service from the bar. Nice wine by the glass selection. Bartender offering tastings gets you in the mood for a glass quickly. Mahi mahi entrée came with Caesar salad that was very fresh and plentiful. Fish was well prepared on the grill. Had it with broccoli and tomatoes subbed out for fries. The fries came anyway. This place is slightly away from the restaurant cluster but is a cut above the rest.

Took 10 – 15 minutes to have someone acknowledge us to state they will be back. Restaurant was slow at the time. Girlfriends flat bread pizza came out first. 10minutes before mine. Asked for a side of mayo with order. Reminded them when they brought burger out. Dropped it off at wrong table. Food was below average. Prices are not worth it. Service was below par.

I stopped in for a quick meal on my way home. I got a crab salad, which was great except for the tomatoes — there were too many and they were mealy. The rest of the salad was good, though. It had fresh greens, delicate crab meat, and a surprisingly flavorful dressing with a little spice. I also got minestrone soup, which was good.(Both the server and greeter didn’t know how to pronounce«minestrone», though. that was amusing.) The only thing that I really didn’t like was my cocktail — WAY too sweet and the soda in it tasted flat. So overall, I wouldn’t hesitate to stop in here again.

I walked in before my flight and sat myself lol the manager noticed and put a young lady on post. My server/bar tender was dino he was friendly and provided good service. I ordered the French Toast since the eggs are not shelled. The french toast was fresh and tasty. For 15 dollars I got french toast, struggling bacon and an Arnold Palmer. A little price pricey but hey I was at the airport. Quick grub before my flight home.

Not bad for an airport joint, but when it is busy they really can’t handled it & get very overwhelmed.

Picked up some decent grub here while waiting for a flight out of friendly Tampa. Sat in the bar area where there were 3 different TV’s playing various sports games and a friendly waiter for the bar side tables as well as a bartender(places that make that a solo mission are doomed). Our waiter was friendly and punctual, especially when we needed the check in a jiffy so we can board or plane. The food, while not spectacular, was on par with any tavern outside of an airport. My chicken caesar salad was large, had a juicy piece of chicken in it and the dressing fit the bill. My gf’s grilled chicken sammie was delish as well. Cooked perfectly and served with lettuce, tomato and a nice honey mustard. The entire meal probably took 20 minutes. Not bad, Tampa!

If you need a simple last American breakfast before embarking on hours and hours of flights to a far away place, Sam Snead’s fits the bill. I always sit at the bar, since almost nobody goes to a bar for breakfast except me. I’d recommend staying away from the omelets since they are not made with real eggs as sagely pointed out by @Michelle. But, they can do over-medium quite well and real eggs are fundamentally required for that preparation. Also, I’d advise requesting your hash browns extra crispy to avoid a soggy inedible mess. Now you know the secrets! Over-medium, extra crispy, and bar for breakfast!

Had breakfast at Sam Snead’s while waiting for my flight to arrive. The food wasn’t great, but it wasn’t terrible for airport food. I ordered the ham and cheese omelet. I asked the server if the omelet was made with real eggs and she told me that they are made with liquid eggs, but she has received many compliments on the eggs.(Whoever told her the eggs were great was lying!!!) The menu prices were average for airport food, but most importantly the service was super fast so I’d grab a meal here again. Next time I plan to skip the eggs and order a sandwich instead.
