This is our favorite hardware. Better customer service than at Home Depot and we love their nursery. We“be only had one bad experience here since it opened.

This review is really feedback for Lowe’s Corporate and their online ordering/inventory management systems. The South Tampa store is my local store so they bear the brunt of it. Is anyone at Lowe’s out there and listening? I need some help here. And frankly your inventory and order management system seems to need a complete redesign — it seems like it is straight form the 1980’s. Here is my frustrating story: On the evening of June 17th I tried placing an order for about $ 3,000 in Gatewood patio furniture online. The order kept failing — yes, I literally got an error code and a blank webpage. After 3 failed attempts I called Lowe’s Customer Care around 10pm EST. At that time a gentleman tried to enter my same order again and he experienced the same error. He then told me he would work on my order and call me back within 30 minutes. I never got that call. Mid-morning on June 18th I called Customer Care again and spoke to Karen. After I explained the issue and the products I wanted to order to Karen she seemed to ID the ordering problem. Apparently, Lowe’s online ordering system cannot accommodate products from multiple locations, being delivered through multiple channels(Parcel delivery and Store Delivery). Karen spent most of an hour figuring out how to split my order into three orders that the system would seem to process. To keep this post short(ha, ha) I’ll skip the discussion of my 4 calls to Customer Care between June 19th and June 28th. Since my orders were entered on June 18th one of three have been delivered. The remaining two orders are outstanding(13633‑1629 and 23789‑1878 in case anyone from Lowe’s wants to look into it for me). When I called Customer Care on June 29th I was told that the larger of the two remaining orders was ready to be delivered from my local Tampa store and I should expect a call with a delivery time. I was thrilled. About 7pm I finally came to the realization that it was not happening. So, this morning I called Customer Care yet again. I was told that all of the items were at my local store, however the delivery truck was already out for the morning, but that I should receive my delivery later in the day. So, at this point I was skeptical, but a little optimistic. At 4pm Terri calls and I assumed I was about to hear what time the truck was going to show up at my home. Unfortunately, it didn’t go that way. Terri went on to explain that while my order was processed and paid, some internal Lowe’s system did not create a PO. Apparently the PO is key to moving and delivering products. She assured me that she would easily fix up /re-create the order and that my products would then be delivered in 7 – 10 business days. At this point I finally lost my patience with Lowe’s. I explained the LONG version of my story to Terri and asked to help me. Terri then proceeded to spend her next hour or so on the phone with Lowe’s Distribution Center in Kissimmee, Florida. I thought great! Kissimmee is less than a 2 hour drive from my home and they certainly have trucks heading to the Tampa area every day. At the DC Terri spoke to Victor, who apparently was not interested or not able to help. She then spoke to Tami who approved an EMERGENCYORDER. Apparently, a Lowe’s emergency is something that can be delivered 3 – 5 days later. This tells me that they are NOTINTERESTEDINSOLVINGMYPROBLEM. At my urging and after sitting on hold for 30+ minutes I spoke to Jake, an ASM at the local store. He seems to want to help, but apparently Lowe’s does not give their manager’s much leeway to help. Jake offered to get me some loaner furniture prior to the 4th of July weekend. Seems like an odd choice, but it may be the only thing he can do. I am hoping someone at Lowe’s corporate or even from the Kissimmee DC takes some notice and wants to get me the products I paid for almost two weeks ago. I’ll update this post with the final results — but at this point it looks like the lesson is that if you can’t find it on the shelf at your local store — find it on Amazon.

Although Lowe’s is closer to my home, I am usually loathe to come here. I find that they commonly do not have items that are marked as «in stock» on their website. Also, the staff is about as unhelpful as I’ve ever seen in a store. Home Depot is much better.

Went here twice and I needed some help finding a few things. Both times workers were just walking around and pretty much power walked right by my like I was a telephone pole. Lousy customer service!

Lowe’s or Home Depot? I know it is a tough decision. My answer is HD, but I was he ping a friend pick out some items. The staff is not as friendly or helpful. On a ceiling fan the male associate wanted 2 women to carry it to the register and not himself, the one that worked there He ended up telling us to go get a cart and he placed it in the cart.(That was a good days work, on his part). We traveled around the store looking at various items. Several times, we attempted to flag down associates with questions we had, to no avail. Obviously I am not a fan of this Lowes! If they tried just a little, it would be a major improvement. What’s a girl to do? Go to HD, where they are prepared for people like me the don’t know what they are doing or looking for.

Thank you to Antonio in Seasonal You can get a wheelbarrow that is not put together… you just have to find someone willing to search for it. Second trip to Lowe’s and 4 associates later I walked away somewhat happy with my fiancé’s requested bday present.(The wheelbarrows are kept outside & there is some rust on it…). Antonio went back and found it for me and explained that they order them by the pallet and usually put them together right away.

This is a review for Lowes online ordering system. I am now on my second failure for an online web order. My first one I ordered and received an email it was ready for pick up. When I got here it was nowhere to be found and I had to wait for them to walk all over the store to find it — fast forward a year I ordered something received a confirmation it was ready and now on 3 different people looking for the order and I’ve been standing here for 30 minutes. I just asked again if someone was looking for it and heard them make a call saying yes the customers here waiting. Don’t know when I can expect to get out of here but quickly turning a die hard Lowes fan into a Home Depot girl. Lowes you need to figure it out before you offer this service. As I was about to post they just sent a fourth person to look for it!

I went in completely intimidated because I was buying lumber and didn’t really know what I was doing. After waiting a moment for someone to help me, I was feeling a bit more at ease. The man that helped me(Joe) was patient with me even after I changed my mind about which plywood I wanted, even after he had taken one of the other sheets down! And then I gave him the tedious job of cutting the plywood into 11“x11″ squares, and he didn’t give me crap at all. He even pointed me in the right direction for some nails. The only problem I had was when I went to check out and the girl seemed annoyed that she couldn’t tell which plywood I had and how much it was(and made a slightly rude comment about me having him cut it up into a million pieces), but after a moment she warmed up and was very nice. Overall not bad and I wouldn’t mind going back for some other projects I have in mind.

I mean its a Lowes… the good thing about this one though is that it is super clean and not all that crowded. The employees are very helpful as well.

I generally like this store — nice layout, good selection, well maintained. Plus, Lowe’s sprinkler parts selection beats Home Depot’s all to hell. Negative: Crappy parking lot layout(some transportation engineer needs to be beaten)
