Lime Fresh Mexican Grill

Top of the charts in the tex mex relaxed enviroment. The salsa choices are unique to include black bean, pineapple, great pico and some other choices as well. Fish tacos, buritos, quesdilla, salads and even creative desserts youll find here. The service was great and quality great as well. The place was packed line out the door at lunch but still got my food fast and accuratly. Will be going back next time I am in tampa.

After eating here again on last Saturday, I feel the need to update because the food was better than the last few times. Specifically, the fish tacos tasted better and had A LOT more meat than before. I still love the variety of salsas and the chips, which I believe are made not the bagged kind. Still 3 stars however because I’m not a fan, likely because of the high volume/​quality of Mexican I’ve had in my life being from Southern California. Not a bad spot to try/​check out, for you may like it.

Came here because the line at a restaurant nearby wasn’t moving. Line was minimal despite the lunch hour and packed dining area. +1 pt

I am so grossed out. Never again.

I ate here yesterday and got food poisoning. Like usual, I ordered the queso burrito bowl with chicken. After about 20 minutes, my stomach started killing me and I’ve been bed/​toilet ridden ever sense.

Great Cali burrito. Excellent customer service. The salsa bar is delicious. Great spot for a big group. The outdoor eating space is nice.

The «I Wanna Tijuana Taco» is a corn tortilla wrapped in soft flour tortilla filled & well balanced with choice of protein, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, and cheese! Perfectly crafted and «user friendly!»
The Avocado Bacon Quesadilla with chicken is loaded, and with a creamy cilantro sauce which will win over cilantro haters! The chicken and ground beef fillings have great mexican flavor!
These two choices with their Burritos are served with «bottomless fresh tortilla chips!»
Need Salsa? Their salsa bar is killer! My faves include pineapple, verde, and acho salsas!
Their desserts include Cinnamon Chips, Key Lime Pie, and my choice, Sopapilla, with powdered sugar & a side of agave nectar!

Affordable cure for your Tex Mex craving. Get the corn shells as the soft shells get soggy. Can’t go wrong with the steak and queso and salsa bar.

Nice fresh mex. Had the quesadillas and they were fresh and filled nicely. Love the salsa bar. All tasted very fresh. Would definitely come back to try more on the menu. Service was friendly as well.

I went here for lunch with a couple of work colleagues. I had the steak quesadilla. While the place was packed and energetic, I wish I could say the same for the food. The tortilla on my quesadilla was over cooked and almost like burnt cardboard. The chips that were served seemed old and stale.

I’ve been here at least twice. The food is average and the service ok. They have a lot of different salsas, which is nice. There is an area of outdoor seating that overlooks the highway.

I used to enjoy Lime more when they first came to Tampa but now I think they’re just average. Service is always good but it just takes too long to get the food. That’s probably my biggest complaint. The food itself isn’t bad, it’s just not top tier Mexican. I do like the salsa bar, mainly for the pineapple salsa and cilantro and the atmosphere is nice. I’m sure I’ll return but it’s like a 1−2x a year kinda place for me.

Although lime use to be awesome when it first opened. Then they got so busy that the quality suffered. Today I went back for lunch and it wasn’t bad. I usually get the surfer tacos grilled fish. Keep it up maybe you guys will get back to the way it was when you first opened.

Had a delicious meal at Lime Fresh Mexican Grill. Looking for a vegan dish and the cashier was able to direct us quickly to a amazing vegan dish. Very happy with the choice. Clean and attractive restaurant.

The reason I even knew about this place, is because of the duel over naming with Green lemon (previously lime). My favorite part about this place is the salsa bar, but it’s not your average few varieties. They have extras like black bean corn & pineapple salsa. The fajitas are good, but I feel a tad on the expensive side for a quick order place. I love that they have Unilocal offers though! I got 20% one time for checking in while wearing my scrubs.

Fresh, fast and good service. I enjoyed going here as the food tasted fresh, quite a nice salsa bar setup, endless chips and nice employees. They have some happy hour specials on drinks and tacos and the inside of the restaurant is clean, energetic and inviting.
The manager was visible helping out and making sure everyone was taken care of and dining room was kept clean and stocked. Ample parking and convenient location.

The Good:
Above average salsa bar featuring all your favorite Mexican confidents like cilantro, black bean salsa, and pico.
Price and value are there! They give you a lot of food for the amount they charge.
This place has a really lively and upbeat atmosphere. It’s designed with a modern open air feel + patio seating.
Free AT&T Wi-​Fi that’s surprisingly fast.
The Bad:
They excel at the presentation of the food and store but not the actual… food.
Seems like they put a lot of thought into every detail besides taste. Bland would be a good description.
The steak fajitas were disappointing. No seasoning and there wasn’t the slightest flame or grilled taste. It’s like opening up a nicely wrapped seemingly expensive present only to find a knitted sweater!
Well, when you see the food you’re excited. It looks delicious. Color, size, texture… all perfect. But then you take your first bite and realized that your eyes have once again deceived you.
The Ugly
The cheese tastes like American Kraft cheese. The sour cream isn’t that great either.
Overall, I wasn’t that impressed with the food. Good location and the store looked fantastic. Staff is also really friendly. But, like with Jemeis Winston, we want to see production. He can be the nicest guy in the world and give to charities but if he throws a couple pick-​sixes in a row, he’s done. Waived. Let go. Cut. And as so we Jemeis Winston, Lime Fresh Mexican Grill is being cut because they can’t produce food that tastes as good as it looks. However, I hate being too negative so I will say they have one of the best fresh salsa bars in the city. That’s their one saving grace.

Sometimes there’s lively service, but this time our order was taken by a timid individual that never even greeted us. We just received a look upon approaching the register. We chose to order our Cali Burritos as bowls (love that option!) The Big Cali Bowl was full of fresh ingredients, despite them forgetting Guacamole in mine :(Oh yes, I went to the counter and asked for it, wouldnt you? No biggie, a server brought it out soon after and the feast began. Yes, I do mean feast! The bowls are huge and I can eat a lot! The cilantro-​lime rice was cooked well and the tortillas fresh crunch compliment the other textures in the bowl. I didnt get any of the hot sauces (15+ to choose from), but theres no shortage. If Taco Bell is your thing, you need to step up your game!
Excellent food, inconsistent service, creative atmosphere, and cool seating options.

Clean. Nice staff. Loved their WTF happy hour. Every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday its 2 4 1 beers. My friend and I had to split that deal. I ordered a chicken burrito and my friend got a salad. Both were yummy, but the salad needs some serious presentation improvement. Looked like just a «bucket of food.» A small trough or something…

If you want home style tacos without making a mess at home… this is the place for you.
This was our first visit to Lime, and I’m not sure if we will be back soon. First… 75% of the items we ordered came out wrong. I ordered a kids taco for my son, and it says specifically what is on it and it came out with a ton of sour cream… then along came my order and the same… a ton of sour cream. Apparently someone was sour cream happy that evening. Everything tasted just like how it would if I cooked it at home… I think mine would have been a little better.
We also ordered queso and the amount of chips that came with the queso was not enough to finish the queso.
Also, when we were there the drink machine was not working properly, and it took a super long time for someone to come over to fix it. This was a bit frustrating since we were trying to get home.
I hope if we are ever to visit again that their habits have changed for the better and that the food is a bit tastier.
