Same experience for me as noted below by the Groupon and Living Social buyers. My guess is that the L&C owners and/or managers count on customers like me getting frustrated with their scheduling tactics and never redeem their pre-paid discount. Then, the discount expires and L&C has your money without needing to performing any services. Places like this usually have other business issues(toenail fungus?), and don’t usually last long-term anyway. Unfortunately, I purchased 4 of these for myself and my three daughters. Hopefully the Groupon customer service representatives assist with my refund request in the same way that Living Social did in the one of the other negative Unilocal reviews.

I recently purchased a groupon for a mani and pedi service yesterday. Less than 24 hours of purchasing I called and tried to schedule an appointment. The man I spoke with had horrible customer service and rudely told me the next available appointment is a month out. For a quick service mani and pedi that takes less than 2 hours it’s extremely hard to believe that from open to close they are booked up solid for an entire month. He then said before I schedule he wanted to let me know that they will only have time to do either a mani or a pedi and I will have to schedule another appointment for the other service to be completed. I told him that was not stated in the fine print or the description of what I purchased. As a customer I expect that when I purchase a service the work will be completed in its entirety. What they promoted is false and I do not recommend using this salon for nails especially not purchasing a groupon. L&C Hair Bar and Beaute in Tampa, FL Will not be earning my business.

Scheduled a manicure & pedicure with a Living Social. It was hard to get a time that worked – time slots seemed limited w a LivingSocial. Finally found one that worked about a month out since only one of the two ladies who does nails accepts living socials. Ok, I understand. Called two days before to confirm and found out appt was cancelled with no prior phone call. When asked why the lady on the phone couldn’t quite explain and Said something about how proceeds go to charity(…what?!). I asked for the manager to call me back. Manager never called. Fortunately, Living Social refunded my money. TIP: Call to confirm your appointment especially if it is for a mani/pedi. Do not buy their living social!
