I will NEVER GO HERE AGAIN! Asked the bartender to make Malibu and pineapple for my friend whose not a big drinker, well when she took a sip, it taste like coconut juice ONLY! So I asked another young lady to make the drink over (which she did). Well I guess the other bartender became offended that we asked them to make it over! (No customer service AT ALL) I know it’s just a night club but it’s still a business and they still need people under to make money! That’s not a good way to do business! I don’t even remember how much it cost to get in, but I left after that experience. (I was in there for 20 mins)

I used to love the green iguana feel. Basically it hasn’t changed, this place is still the same. Staff is friendly and ready to party. Bartenders are friendly and are ready to make you really good drinks. Perfect spot to hit after the movie is over and you want to get a night cap. Some of the nights they have dj’s and plenty of room for dancing. Plenty of parking spots, you will never have a problem finding a spot.

This is the old green iguana on the Anderson Road near the movie theaters.
I have to say that it’s about the same quality of the food is there the drinks are very good and that happy hour is excellent. Service can be spotty and you just have to wait your turn and accommodate whatever is going on.
Calm and laid back and chill 3. Yes I will return and have another cocktail or two or three and just chill.
What’s a girl to do? If you like to buy in the drinks are good price is good why not return return?

This place was busy when I went there on a FRIDAY NIGHT for the ALL U CAN DRINK HAPPY HOUR. .The crowd was mix and mature. .My $ 10 cover charge included an open bar of wells and wines until midnight. Music was great. .mostly HIP-​HOP, R&B and OLD SCHOOL. I really LOVED the TIKI BAR area which also had separate music and a live deejay. I will definitely be back to GREEN GATORS. .FREE DRINKS AND FREE PARKING. .I WILL TAKE THAT.

Staff was excellent, friendly, and even had a local rap contest. Good night out in Florida. If your neat Anderson Road in Tampa Hit it up!

Well if you want to see were the ratchet gather here you can see them in their natural habitat. It’s only a matter of time that this place closes. What a shame tampa clubs are filled with trash, TRAMPA is very accurate here lol.

Was there on a Friday night the music was pretty good if you like R&B.
I didn’t try the food but others said it looked and tasted decent it was after midnight when the crowd became really young and they played more rap music
For the price to get in $ 10 for bottom shelf $ 20 for premium from 9 to 12 is not a bad deal and you get music I would recommend going if this is in your budget any type of music

Came in after hearing about this place on the radio. $ 20 all you can drink from 9 — 12.
Fairly large place with both an indoor and an outdoor area. One of the few places with a mostly black crowd.
The music was kinda jamming, not too loud and a decent mix of hip hop. Definitely a good party spot.
Decent drink special — will have to try the food next time. The buffet is to go style, which was fine with me — put it in the car for a late night meal once I got home.

This is just another reminder of why I don’t go to Tampa clubs. This place is the worst. Let me paint you a picture of pure garbage.
Issue 1 was at the door. There was a celebrity appearance so the happy hour price was $ 20 for bottom shelf and $ 40 for top shelf. However, if you were not drinking, they still wanted to charge $ 20. I kept asking is this a cover or a happy hour special and no one could answer.
The bouncer at the door was a straight up liar. First, he said beer was included in the happy hour/​cover price. Then, he said Absolut was bottom shelf. Lies. All lies.
So after paying $ 20 for the «cover,» one would presume they were stepping into a nice bar. This place is in shambles. The bathrooms were like a scene from a horror film even though it was early in the night. There was poop and toilet paper everywhere.
On the patio, you can sit at a table if no one has reserved it. How much is a reservation you ask? $ 100. Now, this wouldn’t have annoyed me so much if the tables were at least nice looking, but no. Like the rest of the bar, they were scratched up messes in disrepair.
Oh and the celebrity who was the reason for the increased happy hour cost… He was supposed to perform at midnight. At 1a, he was posted up in the VIP section, drinking and feeling up a lady. So not even that could go right!
The only saving grace of the night were the staff on the back porch. The bartenders and attendant were the nicest people we dealt with, and for them, I am thankful.
I would give 0 stars, but that is not an option.

Too Bad I can’t give zero stars. It’s Friday night, 7:30 pm and there is just a handful of people here. No yuengling or miller lite on draft. No limes for the Corona. Ordered a captain and coke and got the wrong drink. First and last time. Was going to get food but I think I’ll pass.

Disgusting. Worst place ever. Met a client there for lunch. The place was empty at noon. It smelled like a nasty bar. The servers were sitting at the bar drinking with the only 2 customers. The food was ok but nothing special.
The restroom was filthy. I can’t imagine what the kitchen looks like.
I’ll never go back.

Worst place EVER. Went there for the first time last night. Haven’t been there since it was Green Iguana. The bartenders suck. They pour TINY TINY shots and they’re expensive. They were out of most liquor and draft beer and the draft beer they did have it was flat. I didn’t dare try the food. Don’t waste your time or money!

Awful. There are so many things wrong with this place, I don’t know where to begin. The staff is horrendous-​consistently got our drink orders wrong. The walls are stacked with jagermeister & absolut vodka but they ran out of Captain Morgan and just gave us vanilla flavored Bacardi instead. They ran out of diet coke & just gave us regular coke without telling us. They don’t care. And mixing a drink isn’t rocket science, but they can’t handle that either. The drinks are wayyyyyyyyy overpriced & actually increase in price as the night goes on. They cost $ 3 when we arrived at 9 and by midnight they cost $ 7. Ridiculous. It was a Saturday night and the kitchen was closed, that is simply bad business. Then there’s the bathroom attendant. WHY they think they need a bathroom attendant is beyond me, as is the fact that there’s practically a convenience store set up in the bathroom. WHO is buying plastic flip flops & starburst candy from a bathroom??? When we left at 1am, there was a line about 30 people deep waiting to get in. Whoever would wait to go in there is crazy. Save yourself a headache & lots of money and never go here.

Staff is incompetent. Food is horrible, it tastes like frozen meals heated in a microwave. It takes forever to get a drink, a good 20 to 30 minutes standing at the bar even when it is not even that crowded. The beer selection is extremely limited and the beer is flat so you have to order a bottle or can beer. They give you your drink in a mini sized cup, so you have to drink liquor, instead of beer, in order to get your money’s worth. They also re-​use that same cheap plastic mini cup every time you order a drink, instead of giving you a fresh cup. The bar tenders are not friendly. The bathrooms are disgusting and they have a bathroom attendant that you feel obligated to tip every time you use their disgusting bathrooms. I will NEVER go back to this establishment, don’t waste your time. Hopefully they will go out of business soon.

I met a few friends here at a weird time. Seems they were going from restaurant to night club on the hour, and the transformation took minutes. I ordered a flavored vodka and soda and received the most disgusting concoction I have ever been served. The prices here were so low however that I simply ordered two regular drinks to make up for it, and they were OK. There were three bars open simultaneously with a dance floor, DJ, and different music playing on the inside and outside. While I prefer the restaurant set up, the night club transformation made for great people watching. May never go back, but once was interesting!

Okay… I’m from ATL and I know I can’t compare the nightclubs in Tampa to those at home, but I’ve even had better nightclub experiences in Jacksonville, FL. I came here tonight and it was pretty lame to me. The bartender service sucks. I ordered a drink and it took over 20 mins. The bartender kept telling me she was new, but how hard is it to pour a Ciroc and sprite? I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone from a big or happening city. This was a big disappointment. The only good thing is that you can walk out and come back in. Luckily I had my own vodka in the trunk and made my own cocktail in the parking lot, drank that, and then went back inside to get my $ 10 worth. Boooo Hissssss!

Lunch June 9
This is the OLD Green Iguana. They are under new ownership/​management, lost the big green lizard on front of building and changed the name.
I heard from a waitress that they just opened in May.
So this place being new I guess I should give them a chance but I need to review based on what I experienced, right?
On the bright side and I am being totally serious here — we got an appetizer of «margarita» chicken wings. These were fried then dry rubbed with some exotic blend of spices and chimchurri. And let me tell you, these were outstanding! Some of the best wings I have ever had — seriously. If my review was based solely on the wings, they would be a 4.
Now onto the bad. Interior looked like it was unkempt and a bit rundown. Overall the mood/​ambience was a bit sad and depressing (not festive as I seem to remember).
My buddy ordered a Shock Top, but they were out of orange slices (which I guess is important to that drink). By the way, the main reason we went to this location was the Good Old Grouper sandwiches at the Green Iguana. So we ordered 3 Fried Grouper Sandwiches. Only to find out from the waitress that they were out of Grouper. She then went on to tell us that this was very common and that they are out of lots of things.
Having said all that, I will go back (one more time, since they are new), to get the wings and I will try the Grouper, if they have got it.
She was apologetic and professional, yet you could tell she was very frustrated.
