One of my favorite places! When my son visits from Memphis this is always on our list! Great games and great service every time we have been! See y’all next weekend!

I have been here several times before this event. The redesign looks great but I do not like that they took the lower bar out, they do however have servers walking the floor. They added some big flashy games. It feels like an older chuckle cheese. The food was very good, I had the south west eggrools and a potato garlic thing. I think the best thing Scott the effect was the staff, they were very nice and helpful.

My favorite game was the zombie game, the crazy pac man game, and skee ball! This is a fun place, and if you don’t like to play games then don’t come here! It’s perfect when it is raining outside or it’s a scorcher outside. That is what it was for us. We enjoyed playing all the games and got the all access pass. The blue pass is not transferable to others in your group so the red access pass was better for us and we could play every thing. We loved everything about it. We won tickets, but we figured we can save them for our next time around!

Do not waste your time driving to this poor establishment. This business had so much potential and I used to come here when I was younger without any issues whatsoever. You can be over the age of 21 but if you have your younger siblings(under 18) you cannot bring them with you without your parents present. Although this place is based around a «family setting» all they seem to care about is running children out and making their money off their bar and older adults. I used to come here all the time when I was younger, my family would drop me off and I would pay for myself and play with my friends I met there. We drove 40 minutes away and they did not care. They should remove the«family» name they place in their business. It’s a disgrace when you just want to take your family out. Never again will I go here. I’m disgusted and disappointed in the direction my childhood place has gone.

One of the bartenders was extremely rude to us, the one not wearing a name tag. John was wonderful. The other bartender was screaming security over and over trying to get people out earlier. We are out of state, here for vacation. It was very disappointing, but no wonder why it was dead on a Friday night…

I’m giving a 5 star which is rare for me because I see all these negative reviews and many are unfair. First of all my kids had a ball and it’s rare to find a family friendly place in Ybor. Yes it took awhile to get a drink but kudos to the owners for carrying local beer. If you’re going to a place like this for food quality that’s just sad. Eat elsewhere there are great restaurants within walking distance. It’s just a fun place with hard working staff that are patient and great with the spoiled tourists that tend to infest Ybor and think they can be rude and demanding to everyone. Please replace some of those new fangled contraptions with a Pac Man or Galaga for us old fogeys. We were there for about an hour during a rainstorm and saw all these people complaining about nonsensical things for a place like this. we had a great time. We are locals and will be back.

They redid Game a Time and it’s way better than before. Thursday’s you can come in to play $ 10 unlimited video games.(doesn’t include ticket games to win prizes) my family loves to kill time here with drinking a few beers, playing a few games with the kids and winning tickets to pick prizes. I love the remodel which has brought the place to life again. Lots of cool games to play for all ages, they serve decent food and beer and the place isn’t over crowded. Please come check out the place when in ybor. It’s fun for anyone who wants to kick back and play games.

1.5 stars. I’ll start off by saying that this might not be a good review of Game Time as a whole. Mostly due to the fact that we didn’t play any of the games and/or experience that portion of Game Time. Went there on a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant and bar was pretty dead. We were then sat at a table and were completely ignored. There were a bunch of waiters talking to their fellow employees and more or less huddled in a corner. A few of them walked to tables of people already there including some tables right next to our table but they all refused to look in our direction or even acknowledge we even existed. After 20 minutes, I tried to flag down someone/anyone to at least notice us but to no avail. Needless to say, we walked out of there and don’t plan on coming back.

Took my 12 year old and my 8 year old here to watch the UFC Silva fight. I could be an adult and enjoy the fight while my boys wore themselves out playing games. The food was amazing I had the Chicken Cesar Salad while my boys had the kids mac and cheese and the kids cheese pizza. However our favorite was our appetizer the fired mac and cheese balls. To me three just is not enough. It is very low cost to bring the kids for a fun family day where the kids can be kids and the adults can be adults and kids. I will definitely be making this place one of our family date nights at least twice a month.

Major renovation has just been completed that has really changed the look and feel of this fun place. Most of the games are new with larger, taller machines and more noise, lights and action. The bar in the middle has been removed to give room for more games including mini-bowling like Duckys and Skee-Ball like at the fair. The front bar and restaurant have new cool vibe with 68TV’s, really great for sports watching with plenty of elbow room.

My twelve year old loves coming here. It can be a little pricey, but on our most recent visit, we bought a card for $ 25 that gave us 140 credits, which gave him about 45 minutes of play time, plus a handful of game prizes(stuffed toys and a ball) and enough tickets for small collection of fun dip. He has a great time, so it was money well spent. Most of the games run about 4 – 10 credits, some a little higher(14 to 35 game plays depending on what you like to play). The variety of games is great… arcade games, virtual/simulation games, a bunch of prize claw-cranes, skee-ball, basketball hoops, and mini bowling alleys, to name a few. One of our favorites is the«Pac-Man Smash» air hockey table. There is also a very nice restaurant/sports bar that I have never experienced(too busy having fun in the game area with the kid), but all in all, it is very well laid out(I’ve noticed a few updates in the last few years), clean, and most of the games were operating(I saw one or two out of order). It is much larger, less noisy, more well-lit, and cleaner than the arcade nearest our house, so it’s worth the 25 minute drive.

I loved GameTime before they went to do their renovations late last November. I was stoked when they finally re-opened and couldn’t wait to go back with guests. Little did I know that the new gamecard for unlimited play was changed forever. You can’t use your card to add credits for the game that you were currently playing which was lame. So if you died in a game and wanted to continue with your card, it had a hold of at least 1 – 2 minutes. When we figured this out, we were very disappointed and felt awful that this place we had been raving about to friends was actually lame. I don’t think we will be returning anytime soon. This place though looked very nice with its new renovations, is actually not a place for game time. Go here only if you want to be at the bar or eat there. Hoping management will see this and change this because this is not cool.

Where do I begin? Should I start with the fact that I waited at the door for someone to notice i was standing there for about 5 min in a completely empty venue before i was greeted or that i had to wait until their team meeting was over before getting my food even though I ordered it for before the meeting started, or the fact that I was told all the wrong information about the gaming card and pricing. I took my family here to have a good time, my boys were so excited to come here and I’ll admit I was too. However after 10 min of being there I was ready to leave. The waiter I had was so unprofessional and not knowledgeable of the menu or gaming cards. I spent 70 $ in food with the set expectation that the game card would come with the finalization of my payment for the food. WRONG! My waiter told me all the wrong information. Of course when it was time to pay he told me I had to pay extra for the cards which was no big deal people make mistakes right? But that’s not all I ask to speak with the manager and even she had an attitude and said«well its on the menu you should have read it» I was in shock that this was the treatment I was receiving after having to wait to be seated, greeted and have my food brought out to me. Even once my food was brought out I had to wait another 12 min for the rest because it was made incorrectly. Long story short I will never visit this place again nor will I refer anyone to go there to be treated with such poor service.

Went back today to play their Dance Dance Revolution machine and found it was sold, again. As a customer of this arcade location for over a decade, I’ve seen this game come and go several times now, and whenever it disappears so do I! However, in the past when the game was sold without a new replacement the management seemed to express some sort of sympathy or at least an apology. This time the manager basically insulted me for suggesting it was a mistake to sell such a popular game, telling me «You must be the only one who played that old game.» Ridiculous, as this was the only location in the Tampa area with a DDR machine. I personally know people who drove(weekly!) from as far as New Port Richie to play this game because it was the only one available. While it’s true that the American dance/rhythm community has shrunk over the years, there are still many dedicated fans of this game in Tampa Bay. The biggest reason the game may have not been generating as much money as in the past is because they refused to properly maintain the pad sensors and speakers(1P was very insensitive and the bass speakers were completely blown out.) This reflects the condition of many of their games: broken or I’ll-maintained Despite their renovations which made it less of an eye-sore, I won’t be back.

Awful & a rip off! No kitchen open or bar. Also half of the games I played didn’t work but still took credits off my card. When I complained to management, they said they couldn’t refund my credits, but instead would follow me around and swipe their card instead. It was just weird. I don’t want a stranger following me around watching me play games. The said this was happening a lot. Also there was a lot of games broke or ones that didn’t work right. I showed management a broken game and after 20mins is was still not marked as out of service. I will never come back!

Ok these 4 – 5 Star reviews have to be employees or people paid to upvote. I will be detailed and clearly outline my experience so everyone can understand what to expect when coming here. I went here on a thursday evening where they do the unlimited play from 7PM-close for $ 10. Upon arriving I noticed the place completely lit like the club when they are closing down and trying to get everyone to leave. Not a huge deal it’s just arcades are normally dimly lit for a reason. I also noticed it was dead which I thought was surprising given the awesome unlimited deal. After beginning to play the games I understood why. MANYOFTHEGAMESAREBROKEN. Let’s start with the shooters: Terminator Salvation. My partner and I played this game and not only was the aim off but only one of the guns would not recoil/click/react when pressing the trigger. We moved on to another shooter same problem. We played Transformers, DeadStorm Pirates and a similar(sit down and aim) Vampire game. The aim and controls were not properly calibrated so it basically would not fire where you pointed the gun. On to the Toss/basketball/football games: Next we played basketball hoops. Two of the machines had broken card swipes where you could not even play and the one we settled on kept giving points even if no baskets went in. We eventually discovered that if you just hit the basketball on a certain point on the rim you would get points for a completed shot. The football game was ok although a little beat up. The beer pong game was cool but boring since that’s REALLY a game you don’t really care to play virtually. Racing Games: There’s a HUGE6 car Sega Formula 1 racing game toward the left of the game room. Anyone that’s a gamer knows that if it’s sega it’s gonna be OLD since sega stopped making those arcade games a very long time ago. It’s certainly time for that game to go and be replaced with something more recent. The graphics are extremely old and the controls like most of the other games are not properly calibrated so you spend more time being frustrated than actually having fun. There is also a WRC rally game which was fun in all honesty although the controls seemed a little realistic, and not too arcade-y. I’m a 32 year old nerd from the old school arcade era so I’m very forgiving when it comes to arcades these days since I remember blowing 20 – 30 bucks back in the day all in quarters on games I only got to play for minutes at a time but gametime just needs to step their game up. All in all I would say this wasn’t a good experience at all. Way too much of the gaming machines are Outdated and broken which for a place whose main draw is gaming machines kinda kills it. I have went to Dave and Buster’s in Orlando before and I can tell you their machines are much better, they all work they way they’re supposed to and they have the proper model. If they do not infuse some fresh elements into this place it probably won’t be open much longer.

The Unilocal check in offer is a «High Five» at the time of this writing and last week on 4th of July. I was able to opt for a fist bump. The game time attendants and manager wasn’t aware of the offer, but we all had laughs about it. I think the offer should be upped to something valuable in game time… like extra game credits? We came here after a dinner at Christino’s across the street to kill time before going to channelside to watch fireworks. We had a 5 kid crew and they all had a blast. Hubby even shot baskets over and over. At 7pm-8:45pm place was quite dead, but it was a holiday. This was great for the kids because they never had to wait for a game they wanted to play. We will come back and maybe even have a meal. If the food is good it’ll definitely get an extra star or 2.

I was meeting some friends for an early mid-week dinner in Ybor City, and was able to skip out of work early that day. Since I had about an hour to kill, I wandered over to GameTime in Centro Ybor at the corner of 8th Avenue and 17th Street to blast the crap out of some aliens before dinner. GameTime is an arcade attraction filled with video games, multiplayer games, ride-simulators, and the opportunity to win tickets that can be cashed in for prizes. There’s also a restaurant with a full bar inside, and in the evening this place gets crazy busy with teens and mouthy Ybor d-bag toads. But during the day this is serious geek Heaven for those of us who need to get in our shoot-em-up Terminator fix. GameTime is brightly-colored, noisy, and a heck of a lot of fun if you enjoy these type of arcade game places. I checked out various video games that let me take out my frustrations on aliens and zombies and a criminal who looked surprisingly like a former boss. It’s the simple things in life that give me so much pleasure. :-) I wandered around the inside, looking over the place, and watching the people having fun, before settling in front of one of the video terminals with my official alien blaster weapon to gleefully mow down an army of blood-sucking reptiles. Die you scumbags!!! Muhahahaha! Before too long it was time to walk over to the restaurant and meet my friends, so I handed my string of tickets to the guy next to me who was struggling to kill the aliens. After a quick fist-bump and nod of respect, the guy was back to blasting away with his gun with some new-found confidence. My work here is done! I’m sure a psychologist would have something to say about my need to shoot moving targets on the screen, but what the heck… it was a great time!
