Holy delicious. Best Cuban I’ve ever had(even with the salami which I’m not used to) paired with black bean salad that’s fresh and light and some white bean soup. Then the waiter knew how much I wanted to try the lechon so he gave me a sample. I’m going back. It was life-altering. The piña colada tres leches rocked my world. Very clean, nice place, casual, great service. Will return!

We were greeted in a very friendly manner. The restaurant appeared exceptionally clean and neat. The brunch menu was awesome! There were many different options, and delicious coffee’s and juices to choose from. Meal sizes are ample, and you may be taking some home! The food prices are more than reasonable for what you get. This would be a really fun place to go with friends and family. Delicious! This is our new go-to restaurant!

My fiancé and I came for breakfast last week. We originally planned on dining near MacDill/Palma Ceia, but found the area for this restaurant to be less crowded. I love everything Cuban. The bread. The coffee. The sandwiches. The dessert. I saw the menu beforehand and was so excited to find Cuban breakfast sandwiches… I seriously live for them. When we sat down and ordered Café Con Leche, I was surprised to find no breakfast sandwiches on the menu. Huge disappointment. My fiancé got one of their breakfast combos($ 12) and I ordered a pancake, grits, and Cuban toast with cheese from an a la carte menu($ 1 – 4 per item). When the coffee and food came out, we had mixed reviews. The Café Con Leche was not as strong as I’ve had at other places; it seemed too milky. The breakfast pancake was decent and syrup on the side. The grits were too watered down for my taste-no semblance of thickness or a whole lot of flavor to them. The Cuban toast with cheese was perhaps the worst disappointment of all… The cheese was so hard to the point where I couldn’t even chew. Almost as though someone microwaved it? I couldn’t be sure. The bread probably would have been better without the cheese. My fiancé’s order with a combination of(some form) of potatoes, eggs, bacon, etc. was to his liking overall. Although, for the portions and overall quality, $ 12 seemed overpriced. The redeeming quality about the place is the service. Very friendly and fast. Overall, the restaurant was not impressive to me at the first visit. If things improve with the food, I will consider returning.

Excellent service with Great Cuban food. White bean soup with Ham and greens was very tasty, yellow rice with olives, peas and carrots delicious. «Picadillo» dish was good too. Also has been hard to find my Miami style cuban coffee in tampa, «buchito!» So good

The owners are super friendly and make you feel like you’re part of the family. The food is incredible. I particularly like their breakfast menu, but their assortment of sandwiches on their lunch menu is also delish. If you go, you have to get the café con leche(don’t get an american coffee for the love of all that is good!).

Came here again this week for lunch. Got the gazpacho and lechon asado. Good, but not as good as the Cuban sandwich I had last week. Game to try their other dishes really soon too.

I don“t really write reviews but this one you can“t pass. If you want to ruin some ones birthday or special day this is the place to be thats how bad it is. just order a simple breakfast rice and egg it took 50 min. hot chocolate is cold. Almost all the customer complain and left. so sad for the owner. this place is a joke!!! MM

Great place with good food and excellent service. Food with a lot of flavor: rice, black beans, pork… etc Basically, traditional Cuban food. I had a Cuban sandwich, the bread is fresh from la segunda Bakery in Ybor and very well done. A express menu is available for to go orders during lunch time. I forgot to mention EXCELLENT Café con Leche!

Family owned & ran. Amazing food! First time here I ordered breakfast to go. Their breakfast is so tasty and filling! Must have their version of eggs Benedict — simply amazing! They were fast and efficient, courteous and very nice. The second time here, my boyfriend and I brought friends from Illinois, and not versed in the awesomeness of Cuban good… they’re sold now! Plantains are sweet and crispy, ropa vieja is great — tender, flavorful, collard greens are the best I’ve had in Tampa! Their black bean salad is packed with yumminess. This is a hidden gem! A definite for those that want some home cooked food that will leave your belly full, taste buds happy, and keep you wanting more! Plus, the lovely people that work/own it are super sweet!

I work right acrossed from this place and have been wondering about them since they opened. Though im not normally a fan of cuban food they were pretty good the staff was well informed and the café con leche was astounding. The portions were rather small and the tropical juice was awfully bitter

The heart and passion put into the food and service here make me proud to be from Tampa. Our local business owners could take a cue from Café Marti to learn how to treat all customers like family and welcome them warmly and with delighted tastebuds and full tummy! My favorite dish here is the Boliche. A nice authentic eye of round, traditionally stuffed and roasted fork tender reminding me of childhood in West Tampa!

We tried this place for breakfast. I ordered the 2 eggs, 2 meats and 2 plantain pancakes. EVERYTHING was cold, and when I told the server, he offered me oatmeal. Very disappointing. On top of that, they didn’t take my meal off the check. I won’t be going back just based on service alone.

The food was decent but you get very small portions for your money. I was excited to try it thinking it would be amazing but it was just okay. I ordered a Cuban all the way and it did not even come with lettuce or tomato and the deviled crab was cold. I would be willing to try them again if they change a few things. I guess it is back to the Green Store for me

Cuban food in south Tampa! It’s not the best Cuban food, but it’s decent, and it’s close by. We started with the gazpacho and the garbanzo bean soup. The gazpacho was good, but the garbanzo bean soup was excellent. Creamy from the beans, rich from the meat, with a little vinegar to cut the fat. Perfect. We also shared an empenada, which was quite good. I had the lechon asado. I thought it was a little dry. The black beans were a little underseasoned(although with hot sauce, they become okay). My husband enjoyed his bistek. Right now, they don’t have a liquor license, so you can BYOB. Or have a tasty cortado. Staff was very friendly.

Looking for a fantastic cuban experience in Tampa decided to visit this new place. Service: was great although she seem a little lost, understandable they are working on their kinks no biggie! Owner was very attentive! Food: Ordered the yuca and mojo witn chicken and vegetables. Chicken tasted like from Publix, yuca and rice had no flavor and my vegetables were uneatable. Bean soup was ok! My friend ordered a sandwich and she hardly ate it. I also left the mayority of my food. I understand they are new but the chef needs to get it together. For now I am not interested on coming back anytime soon unless they get a real cuban chef or a chef that knows what he is doing. Still searching for that great cuban experience when in town but sadly not this one!

Great experience! Menu is authentic and everything we ordered was delicious. Con leches were fresh and tasty, and our breakfast Cubans were hot off the press and prepared to perfection. Restaurant and bathrooms were clean and above all, the service was outstanding. We dined with two little boys and with the syrup/pancakes, when we asked for extra napkins, our server asked if she should damped them for us! Loved that. Our server was thoughtful and eager to please(and help us too!). We ate there twice last week! Will be back soon. Welcome to the neighborhood.
