Give two star just don’t want make people feel tooooo bad! I don’t way they can get 3 and half star rating. Lunch buffet keep empty on buffet. Only meat on the buffet is roast chicken. And some kind chicken. No butter chicken no goat. Each the pan cake are dried out. Just don’t waste your money guys.

Thank you Bombay! Wonderful, Bright, Fresh and Flavorful Authentic Indian Food! We went with a party of 8 and were taken care of so well! 3 kids with us and they all loved the food our waiter suggested for them. The adults shared 2 delicious bottles of wine and several outstanding dishes! All for an amazing price, well worth it! Compliments to the Chef, and staff! We cant wait to come back for more Garlic Naan!

Did it close@ they’re not answering and should have opened 30 minutes ago. Update — the sign on the door says they’re closed for a month, until Dec. 15. Good customer service would have been to put their temporary closing on a website or at least to put it on their phone message, instead of making you drive to the restaurant to look at the door to find out what is going on with them.

Food is fantastic, pure and simple. Even my 10&11 year olds love the food and they are hard to please.

Was in the area for business and wanted to order delivery to my hotel last night but they don’t delivery. Noticed the restaurant again on my way out of town so decided to stop in for lunch. Small but sufficient lunch buffet. Today the hot items were goat curry, chicken tikka masala, vegetable korma, dal fry, a potato dish, and an Indo-Chinese dish — manchurian cauliflower. I tried all but the goat and potatoes. Everything was delicious. The only thing I would change is to take the naan off the buffet and deliver individual fresh orders to the table. Even the best naan in the world gets cold and hard after a few minutes. Otherwise good food and friendly service makes this place somewhere I would frequent often if I was local. Great little place for a quick lunch, definitely made the prospect of the next 4 hours in my car more bearable!

My family and I were visiting Tampa and wanted to go out for some Indian food. My wife found this place via search online and we decided to try it out. The service was great upon walking into the restaurant — very accommodating. We ordered three dishes and each one was better than we expected. We are Pakistanis so we have a very good idea on how the food should taste and each dish was very well made, especially the chicken briyani. The naans are also very good, specifically the garlic naan. They offer a variety of other naans as well. We highly recommend this place. We wish there was a branch near our home, but we will have to settle with stopping by for some good Indian food each year when we visit Tampa.

My friend took me to this place and it was one of the best Indian buffets I had ever had. I really enjoyed the food. The mango chutney was awsome. I would eat there again.

Food was okay. Biryani served without raita. Chicken was on the dry side. The music was inappropriate. Interior design was unique in a nice way. Room for improvement.

Very good Indian restaurant, whenever I ask Indian friends where they like to eat most of them say Bombay Masala and I know why, their food is classic and approachable. Their chutneys are just the right sweetness and spice. I’m happy with both their buffet and dinner table service. Great selection at lunch and dinner service has a great variety on the menu. The appetizer sampler is a great way to introduce people to Indian food. Their biryani and naan are very good.

I have been here many times with my family for dinner and have always loved it. I haven’t had a dish here that I didn’t think was flavorful and cooked well. Consistently good service and great food. In my opinion this is the place to go for Indian food in Tampa. Some of the other reviews say the lunch buffet isn’t good, I can’t comment on that I’ve never been for lunch but it would surprise me that the quality would differ much other than the fact that the buffet isn’t cooked to order. Anyhow, I would recommend Bombay Masala to anyone looking for good Indian food.

Indian food is something new for me, and I’ve had limited experience with the cuisine. The various versions of curry and all of the different vegetarian dishes are confusing to me, and I never know exactly what to order. This is where the Indian buffet at Bombay Masala becomes a real lifesaver. Bombay Masala can be found on Waters Avenue a few blocks west of Dale Mabry Highway, in a nondescript strip mall on the north side of the road. From the outside the restaurant signage simply says«Indian Food», but that’s enough to get you to the right spot. The buffet is offered every Tuesday night starting at 6pm. Any other time and you’ll have to take your chances ordering off the menu, but the Tuesday night buffet let’s you sample a lot of food that you might not normally order for one low price. The restaurant was mostly empty when I arrived, but more folks were trickling in by 8pm when I left. The buffet is arranged with one cold table for breads and different salads, and one warming station for the main courses. I started with the salads, and found a traditional lettuce salad with the normal accompaniments. I also found a very delicious cucumber salad(Kachumber salad) with a spicy & creamy dressing — That was outstanding!!! Also on this table was the garlic naan which is Indian flatbread(similar to pitas, but much more flavorful). Moving to the hot entrées I tired a small taste of everything just so I’d know what I liked: * Vegetable Samosas(fried pastry with savory vegetable filling) * Vegetable Pakoras(fried pastry with mixed vegetables, chickpeas and carom seeds) * Daal Fry(Lentils cooked in Ghee — clarified butter & aromatics) * Bombay Aloo(Potatoes cooked with onions, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, ground turmeric, garam masala, potatoes, red chilis, lemon juice) * Vegetable Makhanwala(a rich and creamy main dish made with mixed vegetables which are cooked in an onion, tomato gravy and cashew nut paste) * Cauliflower Manchurian(Cauliflower has a crispy coating, then fried, and tossed with a spicy sauce) * Palak Paneer(pureed spinach cooked in paneer — Indian farmer’s cheese) * Navratan Korma(Indian vegetable korma with nuts, paneer cheese, and mixed vegetables in a tomato-cream sauce) The buffet menu was entirely vegetarian, and many of the flavors were new to me. Some things tasted familiar, while many of the curry sauces were very foreign. The main menu has a lot of chicken, lamb, and seafood, but I’ll need some help deciphering the different types of curry. All in all it was a pleasant experience with some delicious food, and a great way for a beginner to learn about Indian cuisine.
