How can you mess up pizza and beer? Not enough garlic and red sauce… There should not be gang tags in the potty. But if you let me taste beer before I commit then … You are my buddy for life. I think bland is the word I’ll be back

Pizza was awesome — in size and taste — and beer selection was great. Service? Well, not so much. Bar was slow. Table service was decent, but our order was mixed up so it took forever to get our food. I have no idea how long we waited as I was semi-delusional after not having ingested any food for 10 hours.

Beer was cold and the slices were good… once we got them. An hour and a half is way too long to wait for a slice. The waitress forgot to put in our order. I’ve always enjoyed Momo’s…hoping this was just a one time thing. They were short on help… could have told us that to begin with, sounds like just an excuse now.

I can’t compare it to other pizza joints in Tallahassee, but it was good. Not too greasy. Gi slices. A bit crusty. Good service.

Momo’s 2 is a great addition to Tallahassee. Use to always grab a slice between classes at the original momo’s on Tennessee st but I have graduated to Momo’s 2. This pizza joint is huge and I personally love the bar area(second building). They also have outdoor seating area in the shade. There is a huge selection of beers and they brew their own. Prices are reasonable. It’s def a place to relax and meet friends. Pizza is a huge slice… thin and crispy.

Tallahassee, FL: BUTREALLY, HOWARETHESLICESSOBIG? I was introduced to this local eatery when a group of four of us all agreed we were 1) ravenous, 2) wanting pizza, 3) and needed food ASAP. Needless to say, Momo’s fit the bill well. After a lot of indecision, three of us settled on a medium veggie pizza and the fourth, a single slice of some meaty Momo’s speciality with extra cheese. HOLYMOLY. The medium was a humongous platter of delish, filling yet light, fresh and not greasy like the average local pizzeria. The single slice was really the star though: there was enough cheese on that one ginormous slice to feed a small village(it’s pretty crazy when a slice at this pizzeria makes Costco slices look tiny). I had only two quibbles that stopped me from giving the place four instead of five stars: 1) the crust was a bit overdone(hard) and burnt on certain slices and 2) the service was rather inattentive. I’ll definitely be back though and hopefully next time I’ll be able to give this slice the 5 stars I know it’s capable of.

I walked in and the host(or cashier) was shocked I asked if I need to be seated or I could sit anywhere. It took forever for someone to even offer me water. Service is 1 star and I will never visit this place again.

Bottom line: An established and honored restaurant within TLH’s pantheon of pizzerias. There once was a time when this would have been five-stars. Not, incidentally, because the quality then was better — but because there simply was no other game in town. Up until just a few years ago, this(and Tennessee St.) was the de facto epicenter of good TLH pizza. While competition has certainly stiffened, the charm of both Momo’s locations has only intensified — a patina of cool, if you will. There are several ways of enjoying Momo’s 2(most folks — even«locals» — may not even realize the Momo’s «1» is still alive and well and rockin’ the intersection of W. Tennessee & Stadium’s NE quadrant). These ways are: 1. Quirky. That means up at the bar, in front of the folks spinning the pies. Not a bad option for small(read 2) parties, or coming with the kids and letting them see the magic that goes into these pies(and getting some pizza dough to play with to boot). 2. Indoors East(that’s on the side with the ovens). More intimate — you get to use the old-school restrooms, although the old-school graphics within them are long gone. Furthermore, refilling your own soft-drinks/teas is more convenient. The machine is right there by the door. 3. Outdoors. This is where it’s at, for an Al Fresco guy like me. Arguably one of the most comfortable outdoor experiences in town. Cold weather? — fear not — the heaters are deployed and always fully functioning. Flies in the summer? — not a chance — fly bags are deployed ‘neath the parasols. 4. Indoors West(here’s where you’ll find the private-party rooms, and where you’ll be directed to when the other side is full. There’s a nice full-service bar in both indoor areas. Momo’s claim to pizza fame, for me, is the 30″. It is unable to fit in the back seat of most econo-boxes, so it it’s a to-go order, pop the trunk/hatchback. that’s where it’s going(unless you’re going to bungy it to the top). The pie is good — has been consistent for all this time. Sauce is made fresh, and the ingredients never disappoint. Donny Dye was the founder of Momo’s. He was a most familiar face at this Momo’s in Market Square. I remember him always being«johnny on the spot» during heavy-business times, and would always make the guests welcome. He greeted regulars by name — he was a titan of Tallahassee’s pizza universe for sure. I respected his product and I’m sorry he passed away in late 2014. It was sad news for many of us. Nonetheless, I just checked out the website, and I see that Momo’s benefits from still very much being the same family’s business. That continuity is great for TLH!

We were drawn here based on the recommendations to check out their craft beer selection. I’ll start by saying that the calzone and salad we had were very good. The ‘small’ Greek salad was bursting out of its bowl. Cheese all over! Same with the calzone. The beer selection though… The thing about craft beer is that it is always expanding and full of re surging styles that have nearly been forgotten with time. This place didn’t have those. They just had a few boring old IPAs, corporate lagers, stouts(in the summer?) and a shandy they were trying to unload at 3 dollars. We ended just having water.

Good pizza, decent service, lots of beer choices. Not unbelievably fantastic pizza, but it’s above average. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area.

My preferred location in town since my college nostalgia has worn off. The pizza is awesome, cooked perfectly and with as many unique toppings as you want. For the portion size the prices are worth it. They have a much larger restaurant for large parties and an excellent beer selection. I already loved this place, but tonight I had a reservation for a 18 people and the staff and manager were very accommodating and everything went very smoothly.

Okay… it’s not NY pizza however it was pretty good. We ordered ½ cheese(we had my 5 yr old with us) and ½ meatlovers. Yes for the novelty of it we got the extra large pie. It was delicious. I would have liked it a little more well done… but knowing there would be left overs it will reheat better. Service was good. We also had breadsticks which was also quite good. All in all I would so go back!

Wow! Biggest pizzas I have ever seen! I didn’t get a chance to try their draft beers or other menu items, but I’ll be soon returning to this place: service was prompt and friendly, the restaurant clean and the pizza plentiful! 5 stars!

I see a lot of people writing bad reviews about the service but when I went there for lunch today the service wasn’t horrible. It was average. I have gone to this Momos and the one on Tennessee street. Honestly I don’t see what the hype about it is. Yes, the pizza is big, but the flavor is lacking. The pizza isn’t very saucy and to me it honestly just tastes bland. I would personally rather do hungry howies and save my money…

I had lunch here with a few colleagues and while I found the service and the preparation to be quite good the portion sizes were beyond ridiculous and for that I had to drop my rating.

Service wasn’t anything special, it seemed sporadic at times. But it wasn’t horrible. The shop itself I think extends into three buildings, so plenty of tables. This was the first time I’ve ever had a giant pizza and it tasted great. I think one is enough, shouldn’t have gone for two! It stays true to its claim as big or bigger than your head. The dough was excellent as it was crunchy and soft around the crust. It was a tad colder in certain areas, but that didn’t turn me away.
