This was my first visit to this chain and I will be back. My adult daughter found them in Tampa and knew she needed to take me. Price seems a bit high, but then I realized I had more than enough food for two meals. I love being able to make up my own combo with no upcharges. I had plenty of shrimp and chicken in my dish. Next time I will have it cooked with no sauce and get two or three sauces to add as I eat. I will also skip the noodles next time and go for cabbage or rice or a combo of the two. Overall, very good food, good service, clean restaurant, fun environment however it is a loud restaurant so don’t take the kids when they or you are tired.

This is a cool restaurant with a neat vibe. I really like the idea of getting to choose all my ingredients and how much I want of them, and each time I eat here I get a new flavorful surprise because of the endless combinations.

We had absolutely no idea what this place was all about when we walked in. We found a delicious culinary adventure. The waitress explained how you pick the size of bowl you want to fill with your protein of choice and veggies, then take that to the grill masters who cook it and combine with your choice of rice or noodles. You even pick your spices and put them on your protein yourself. Next time we will go with the medium size bowls as they are the most cost effective way to achieve maximum bloat/fullness LOL. I enjoyed an ice cold«Cold Snap» at our table while waiting for the grill gurus to cook everything up. It was outstanding, each of us loved everything that was prepared by the grillemen. The selection of sauces was a bonus, with little tasting spoons to help with your decision, we each found our flavor of the evening(good stuff). The staff was friendly, and the entire restaurant looked clean. We will be back.

On Saturday, March 5th my husband & I decided to eat here for a late anniversary dinner. As I have allergies & am very allergic to shell fish, when server asked if I had allergies, I said yes. She gave me a blue card. I filled it out with what I wanted. I then got a bowl went up & got chicken & marinaded steak. I then took it to counter for them to cook. Told person at counter who took my card that I was allergic to shell fish & they said OK. I then went back to table & few mins later the food came. I stirred it up & added soy sauce. I took 3 bites & my chest started getting tight. I looked down & in my bowl I saw something red & white. Wasn’t sure what it was, so asked my husband What he thought. He wasn’t sure either so asked server who went & asked manager. Manager said it was their house crab. I then went into antopolatic shock. Got out my epi pen & gave myself the shot. Helped breathing but went into an epeleptic seizure. Ambulance was called & took me to the hospital where I stayed for 7 hrs. People take it from me, if you have ANY type of allergies DONOT eat here!!! They can kill you they obviously don’t take it as serious as they say they do. I only put 1 star because I have to it deserves 0

Ghenghis Grills is a unique Resteraunt in that every time you go it can be a completely different meal. Get all of your favourite meats, veggies, and spices, pick a sauce and enjoy. It’s like your favourite meal in as may variations as you can create!

got seated and sat there for TENMINUTES without any service. The waitress for our section walked by twice without so much as an «I’ll be right back for you».

Was on vacation and my family took us to this place(it’s there favorite). This place reminded me of a Mongolian Stir fry restaurant in California but better. There had a lot of great choices to choose from and the food was amazing. I wish they would open a Genghis Grill in California.

Average service and average taste. Apart from the gimmick of ‘making your own food’…its overall very unimpressive. Wide variety of veggies, meat, and sauce to add to your dish. You take it over to the grill where the staff cook it up for you. You pay for the gimmick, not the quality. They lost a star due to cross contamination. If you check out the grill, the cleaning between cooking each dish is a superfluous swipe. Needless to say, my partner found some chunks of beef in her tofu bowl. Oh yeah, did I forget to mention she’s Vegan? And wrote that under the special instructions? They were apologetic about it though, which is nice… and why they didn’t lose more stars over it. Slow service, which is a pet peeve considering the place is less than halfway full. Let me save you the trouble, just go to Mr. Robotos

This is my absolute favorite place to eat. I’ll make the 97 mile drive to eat here as much as my weekend free time will allow. You cannot possibly get as much good quality food anywhere as you do here, especially for the price. I’ve been hounding their website to put one in Panama City again, but until then it’s the special trips to Tally for a bite.

What happened to this place? Food is still tastey, but the service is piss poor– everyone had an attitude and treats you like you’re stupid when they changed their process that they’ve had for years and don’t tell anyone. I ask for a drink menu, go prep my bowl, come back and it’s gone, go grab another one from the front, and she tries to take it again. Why are you working? Do you not want people to order more to drive up the tip? I am a heavy tipper, and I was temper to stiff.

So delicious! I love this place. If you know how to stack the food right it’s definitely worth going here. Usually I put veggies first, then meat on top to hold the veggies down. If not the veggies fall all over the place! I get a regular and it’s very filling. I have enough leftovers for the next day. Also, it’s better to splurge on a drink! If you get the water, it isn’t filtered. It literally tastes like toilet water. Try to go during dinner because they have more protein options. During lunch they don’t have calamari which is my favorite, so I was a little disappointed. The only thing I would say is that the service is mediocre. I went at lunch when it wasn’t very busy and I saw my waiter once. We had to get another waiter to refill our drinks and bring the checks.

This used to be one of my favorite places but the last two times they forgot the egg I specifically asked for(even after I tipped the cooks). Being a vegetarian the egg is one of my favorite things.): They also don’t grill the food as long as they used to. New employees perhaps?

I like Genghis Grill. The ingredients are consistently fresh and seasonings are tasty. It must be somewhat frustrating for servers though. Places where the clientele are effectively creating their own dishes and bringing it to «the line» put servers in the similar situation they find themselves in when working for buffet joints. Nonetheless, the prices here are fair and I enjoy it periodically.

Apparently, this is the spot to come after an 80 – 0 routing. Came here with some tally-nasty locals looking to refuel after cheering out hearts out. This set up is kinda like a traditional Chinese buffet with a twist. Two rows of various meats, veggies, and peppers. The twist it it’s all raw. You select whatever size bowl you want when you walk in, then it’s up to you to fill it with whatever you want. WARNING: There are some really hot peppers in there, so be careful. Learn from my mistake. The Chili Pepper rating is ACCURATE. 5 Peppers means DON’T. Ok. Once you’ve piled your bowl as high as you can balance, you take it to the counter where they installed a huge circular hibachi grill. There’s about five dudes just cooking away. Don’t be afraid to pile it high either, the cooks get a real kick out of it. What surprised me most about GG was how fresh everything was. Other buffet hibachi places serve the meats frozen, where as here it was all thawed out and ready to go. It really cut down on the wait time too. 4⁄5 order a Sapporo and get stuffed.

I am giving it four stars, only because I have to be fair. I have to be honest, its not you, its me. I’m a germophobe. I have never been to a place like this, but I am not a fan of buffets and to me this is about the same. Anywhere that numerous people walk around your food, touch spoons(without us knowing if the person in front of me has washed their hands) and have their hair, snot or even worse drop into the food, well… I just not a fan… Service was great, our waitress was friendly and explained exactly how everything worked. I just can’t get onto the concept of having to prepare my own meal. I had no idea what I was doing and I was quite stressed out with all the raw meat just sitting out there. I piled on some chicken, got to the large assortment to veggies and other items and was lost. Same thing at the spices and sauces. I know there are recipes you can follow, but none of them seemed to appetizing. My meal was decent, I obviously didn’t make the best choices with spices. But again, its me, not you.

Tried this place for the first time. Food is pretty good, I would suggest really piling on the meat as it cooks down a lot. They tell you that you should go easy on the spices and I guess if you are nervous you should, but I wish I had added more! The sauces are not that hot either so feel free to put on a bunch or make your own mixture! Eggs are in the Fried Rice already, but you can add more if you like, or have it added into what you choose if substituting to noodles or another rice. If you have a big appetite, these little bowls won’t fill you up, but for most it will be more than you can eat, so get a doggie bag and enjoy it again tomorrow! Not bad for $ 10.69, especially if you get two meals!

I’m never sure how to rate the places where you put your dinner together, but I did a great job the other night so I’ll rate this place highly :) There was a big bar of ingredients and spices to choose from which was awesome and the staff behind the grill and on the floor were friendly and helpful. This is the kind of place you go for the experience and if you feel like putting together your own flavors and letting someone else do the cooking!

First time at this place and me and the fam were happily enjoying the experience where the customer is brought into the selection and preparation of the food. You don’t actually have to cook anything, but here’s how it works. You are given a steel bowl and you go over to an area that looks like a buffet line. You first put your meat into the bowl. There’s chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, fish, sausage among others. Then you can put in dry spices, anything from salt and pepper to more exotic or spicy sauces. Then you put in vegetables like carrots, mushrooms, greenbeans, onions and lots of other stuff. After that you get some sauce in a separate little bowl and take it all to the cooking area. You hand it off to one of the guys and let them know what starch you want, as in noodles, rice, fried rice or whatever. Then you go take your seat and wait for the food to come. The food comes pretty quickly. On the plus side, it is served hot and fresh. It’s seems hard to screw up the formula as I didn’t know what the heck I was doing, but it all turned out pretty good. If you don’t feel confident about selecting your food, they also have recipe cards for you to follow along. I don’t know Mongolian food from from a roasted grasshopper, but don’t go in here thinking you are going to experience fine Mongolian cuisine. For instance, one of the sauces is called«Caribbean Sauce», and I don’t think the Mongols ever made it to the Caribbean!

I love this place. And I’m tempted to give it an extra star… but I can’t because the staff is weird. The food has always been fresh, the area has always been clean, but the attitude of the staff makes or breaks my experience. I’ve never had a terrible time though. The concept behind the place is great. I love bring people here to go for the first time because it’s hard to go wrong. It’s like a healthy buffet. You get all your veggies and meat options and you feel good after the meal. PLUS almost everyone take home left overs. I love seating outside because the inside can get pretty cold. But if it’s NBA season I will freeze as I’m pointed to one of there many tv screens. I wish they would turn on the captions so I could read what’s going on since there is no sound playing. I would avoid the normal lunch hour for a first time visit. The staff is rush and very short with you. If you ever ask for them to correct something(like I asked for sweet tea and you bring me a long island ice tea at 12:30…come on I have to get back to work). They are slow as hell! But the bartenders are pretty good.
