My mom picked up four Earth to Oven Apple Walnut Scones for me at the Perrysburg Farmers Market in September. I have kept them frozen, pulling one out on special occasions to enjoy. What a treat! Support this local business. Let’s make it an institution!

What a great asset to downtown sylvania and to the surrounding communities !! This bakery is owned by two fabulously creative women! They use local and organic ingredients to make from scratch baked goods. They use compostable packaging too. I adore their organic cheesecake. Today, I had the salted caramel pecan blondes; it was divine. A dense, but moist bar with the right amount of everything inside. I’ve tried just about everything they make. Love the fruit hand pies, oatmeal bars(vegan/dairy free), gluten free coconut macaroons, carrot coconut cookies, various scone flavors(fave is blueberry lime), lemon cut outs(frosted with buttercream delicately colored with pastel vegetable dyes), blueberry buckle(super moist coffee cake with blueberries topped with brown sugar butter crumble), cupcakes, brownies, pineapple upside down cake with blackberries, lemon bars(lemon curd, cheesecake, graham flour crust) and too many more to name! The bakers, a mother and daughter team, are really sweet and personable. Their bakery features a/c, wifi and 4 tables with enough seating for 12 people and free parking in front of their shop. Their facebook page has a pdf menu with special order pricing. Everything is made from scratch ingredients and they never use boxed, canned fruits, premixed batters or chemicals in their recipes. I know this sounds like a lot, but the very first time I went in, they told me all of these things and I was really impressed! Every time I go in there is something new in the case. I highly recommend this bakery. They also are at the Downtown Perrysburg farmers market on Thursdays and the Downtown Toledo’s Farmer’s Market on Saturday Mornings year round.
