Perhaps the best ribs I’ve ever had… and I’ve had a lot. Would be great if 1) they were open at night and 2) had cold beer to go w/the BBQ.

Based just on their meat they would get five stars, but their sides are really not good. Brisket is supper juicy. You can specify if you want the lean side or the juicy side of the brisket, and they are happy to provide for you. The beef sausage is very tasty. For an all beef sausage it is one of the best I have seen. Their sauces on the table are all great. Their sides just are not good. The beans have very little flavor in them. They are not the worst I have had but definitely not the best. Their mac and cheese is extremely bland. No taste at all. Totally worth going here for the BBQ, you pay by the pound so you get exactly what you want. Get there early because they run out towards the end of the lunch hour.

OMG… absolutely the most fall off the bone ribs I have ever had. The bark had an amazing sweetness like I have never tasted. Best ribs in Colorado. Good find.

The brisket is amazing best I’ve ever had. Skip the sides, if you have to have a side get the brisket with a side of brisket, trust me you’ll thank me!

Wow, I’m impressed! So our favorite Thai restaurant wasn’t open yet one recent Saturday and in a Unilocal search this place came up. I crossed my fingers and decided to try a new place and it was excellent. They had some of the best brisket I’ve had in a long time and their ribs as well as sides were all very good too. I like the Texas style brisket where you can get a little of the fat layer included as it melts like butter in your mouth. This place may not have been on my radar before but it is now and judging by the very long line right after we ordered, it’s not a secret to many others.

This is hands down the best bbq in Denver. They do get crowded as they have limited seating — so not the right place to have a family get together. I do recommend the fish they have — they run out of it fairly quick though.

Best barbecue in Denver, no question. Staff makes you feel like part of the family. I could go on and on with nice things to say about Wayne’s! I highly recommend the Pork Shoulder(and the Brisket Chili when available!).

Wow. I’ve finally found great BBQ in Colorado. We moved to Denver from Austin two years ago and this place is on par with all of the great Central TXBBQ spots. It was also great to not have to wait in line for 1 – 3 hours. We arrived about 5 minutes before 11:00AM and we were the 5th group in line. The short line moved at a reasonable pace and we had our food by 11:10AM. We ordered the brisket and ribs and the mac-n-cheese, cole slaw, and beans for sides. Brisket– top notch! I’d put this up against any brisket around. Both the lean and moist cuts were excellent. Salt and Pepper rub, Post Oak wood… Central TX Brisket indeed! Ribs– Very good. The rub was a tad sweeter than I prefer, but that’s just personal preference. The meat was tender and overall, very good. The sides. What is it about the best BBQ places and their lack of amazing side dishes(I’m looking at you Franklin)? As always, everyone has their preference but I found the Mac-N-Cheese to be heavy on the Dijon, the Beans to be heavy on Mustard, and the cole slaw to be just ok. I came for the brisket, so I’m sticking with the 5 star rating, but IMO, the sides are lacking. Overall, this place is fantastic. Friendly staff, plenty of seating, and hands down, the best brisket in Colorado.

Hands down the best barbque on the planet. This place is a culinary masterpiece. The price per pound/open till all sold out business model is brilliant and ensures amazing quality. I have not had a single bad thing here, but I have to say that the brisket and ribs are fantastic. Be sure to get extra pickles and jalapeños because they are also delicious. The cobbler is also to die for so save room for dessert. Finally, the owners are incredibly nice and make this place great. Pretty much everything is amazing at Wayne’s. Highly recommend!

This place is amazing. My husband and I made a pilgrimage today since it was listed as #1 on a list of best barbecue places in the Denver area. It was worth the 40 minute drive each way. I’m a ribs girl, so that’s all I had. They were fantastic. My husband is a sampler guy, so he had the brisket, pulled pork, ribs, chicken and sausage and couldn’t decide which he liked best because they all were so good. One of the great things about Wayne’s is that the meat is sold by the pound so you can get as much or as little as you want of everything. We tried the coleslaw, mac & cheese, and bbq beans. I think the beans were our favorite. My favorite sauce was the«original,» but they also have a mustard which my husband thought went well with the sausage and a spicy. They are only open for lunch. The service was very friendly. The place was spotlessly clean. I can’t say enough good things and will be going back!!!

This is a great place to enjoy some Texas style cooking. You get to see you meat and select what you want just like in Texas. The ribs are the best I’ve had, and I’ve had ribs in Memphis. The chicken is top notch, too. The brisket was too dry to enjoy and the sides were disappointing. I had beans and mac & cheese. If you are looking for good meat, stop here.

Simply the best bbq I’ve ever eaten. I’m from Fort Worth, TX and I’ve lived in Dallas for 4 years during my time. I’ve eaten at plenty of BBQ places(down here if you throw a rock you’ll hit a bbq joint). Wayne’s is incredible. The brisket has a TON of flavor and a great amount of smoke to it. The pork ribs were sweet, tender and delicious. I was in bbq heaven for about $ 20. To anyone in the Denver metro area, this place is worth the trip!

Last week I was offered the promotion of a lifetime. The package included a 400% pay increase, an AWD Mercedes, a golf membership, a daily massage, free parking and a personal language translator. The relocation for the new position did not have a Wayne’s BBQ. I turned it down. Get real. No one should have to make that large of a sacrifice. No tender moist spicy sweet ribs! What! Who in there right mind would trade perfectly smoked brisket for a golf and tons of money! And what about the homemade slaw! Come on. No way. Unitl there more locations, I will never move. I am currently 3.123 miles and if I catch all the lights, I can get to Wayne’s in under 4 minutes. I am currrently looking for investors to tear down the I HOP across the street, build condos and be within a smoked sausage throw from the king of BBQ!

Brisket ranges from delicious to amazing. Run by meat enthusiasts and it’s a pleasure to support them. An easy 5 stars. Get there early before the good stuff is gone. Side note — if you’re too late and they’re sold out, Sushi Yoshi next door is worthy of consideration. The yellowtail and salmon could be considered«sea brisket».

This special place really deserves this update. I had not realized how old my review was. I have been many times by now, eat in for lunch or bring home a meal for dinner. I admit I have not been in for over 6 months because of the ongoing road contruction, not just on the highway but also the access points near this shopping center. But that is much better now and though the highway is a mess at certain times, there are local routes to use, and we should all try them. It’s too good a place to miss. Today, I had the brisket lunch again, which has turned out to be my favorite. It was tempting to try the pork belly, but a little less fat is probably good for me. I love that the customer can select the meat portion size, it is weighed and you pay for just what you get. And you can pick you choice of sauce. The meat comes with one roll, which did seem a bit smaller than I remembered, but it was fine with me. Additional rolls can be ordered for a very low price. I got the slaw, which I love, as one side and I could not resist getting the peach cobbler side for dessert. Had it been anything but peach, I would not have had dessert for lunch. It could maybe have used a little more peach but the flavor and cobbler topping were so tasty. And I would consider it a pretty good«scoop» for size. One of the terrific things about Wayne’s is that Wayne is almost always there. Such a personality and pride in his work. And he recognized my face even though it had been some time. I promise to not forget to go down there in the future. I had 2 other errands in that shopping center today, so it really was a «no-brainer» to stop for lunch. Also, note that right about noon, the place is packed with neighboring office workers on break, so if your time is your own, come a little early. He closes when he runs out of meat, usually by 2pm.

Food and service seemed like it would have been great; cute space. Only one tiny problem– no food! They’re sold out of EVERYTHING3 hours after opening(and open for another 2 hours without any entrees). Whoops! Four words: pars and missed sales. Here’s a tip: Call ahead and ask if they still have any food! I stopped in based on the recommendation of a friend who raved about the quality of the BBQ here on Tuesday at 2pm. When I got there, a very friendly young man who was doing a great job of cleaning the patio and front of house explained that they were out of everything except«small handful of brisket.» My husband and I took what we could get and split the small portion, slaw(tasty!) and roll. Having food to serve is the first pre-requisite for a good review. I can’t imagine inviting guests to join me for lunch here(not knowing if there would be anything to eat when we arrived). When I go out to eat, I don’t usually think to call ahead and ask if they have any entrees still in stock, but if I give it another try, I will.

5STARS… Best BBQ in Colorado I am a brisket fanatic, and this is by far the best I have had in CO bar none !! YES it is a bit expensive… but the quality of meat and the craft needed to properly smoke these meats is the price you have to pay for top quality. Great job. my wife are new fans. Yeah who needs sauce when the meat is this good !! If you like BBQ get your *ss in here and try this place.

Welp… after a year in Denver I didn’t think this was possible but along comes Wayne and just blows it out of the water. I noticed a couple reviews that weren’t so high on the sides. Unfortunately, I can’t speak to the quality of the sides because all I ordered was meat. I mean really, all those sides are just filler taking up valuable space in your gut that could be filled with more meat. Just give me some pickles/onions and white bread in true central Texas fashion and I’m a happy camper. So, onto the good stuff. Holy crap the meat was awesome. The brisket was just perfect, and really if you’re going to call yourself central Texas BBQ then it better damn well be perfect. I was incredibly impressed with the ribs as well. The rub that they’re using was just fantastic. Pulled pork had more flavor than most I’ve had and the chicken was solid. Really the only thing that seems to need work is the sausage. I grew up on Smitty’s/Kreuz sausage and there’s just something about that pop and the peppery bite in that sausage that seems incredibly hard to replicate. Give these men their due, they are doing some amazing things out here in CO. Other notes… sauces? Who needs them? You’re meat should stand up on it’s own and Wayne’s does. Ambiance was great and I loved hearing«big iron on his hip» playing as I walked in. I think my only knock on this place is that they don’t serve alcohol. I would have really really enjoyed a Shiner Bock or Lone Star with this meal and would have loved to hang out for a while but I don’t think the place is especially conducive to spending a long time there. Thank you Wayne and Co. for setting the bar so high for other COBBQ joints.

Without a doubt the best BBQ I have had in Colorado. I had a mix of the pulled pork and beef brisket. The pulled pork was fall apart tender and juicy. It definitely did not need sauce. However, I had to try the mustard based sauce as I’m a big fan and it did not disappoint. As stated by others, the brisket is fork tender. I don’t think it is that pricey considering the freshness and quality. For sides I have tried the mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and the white beans. I like the mashed potatoes but was not as much of a fan of the mac-n-cheese. The white beans taste very good but are a bit on the watery side. I have asked if they could add collard greens and hopefully they will do that soon. That and fried okra would make this place perfection. My wife loves sweet tea with her BBQ. That was the only real disappointment here. The sweet tea was barely sweet on the day we came. It was much better at LuLu’s. Personally I can overlook that but they might give us an odd look if we come in next time with a drink from Chick-fil-a. It can get smokey in there but they have outdoor seating as well. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.
