Everything was absolutely amazing I wish I could give it more than five. The building had a very warm, inviting, rustic look, like something out of a ghibli movie. Our waitress was Sol, and she was absolutely the most charming, entertaining, wonderful person. Not only did she make sure we had everything we needed, but every time she stopped by our table, she had some amazing story to tell. The caprese bruschetta was probably the star of the evening, even though just an appetizer, this thing was just so amazing and sweet, and presented in a very cute way. Definitely try one of the pizzas, the bread is very soft and sweet, making every bite finger licking good.

My husband and I live in northern Los Angeles county and were in Orange County for business. I saw all the great reviews this restaurant received and we decided to try it. We were not disappointed! As all others have said, the garlic bread is fantastic! We ordered the antipasto salad with half Meat Lovers and half Sunset pizza. Everything was delicious! FYI the 18″ size is a hefty crust and comes with 8 huge slices – they do not skimp on the toppings. So it was way too much for 2 people to eat in one sitting, but we were happy to take the rest to go. I would absolutely recommend Sunset Pizza & Pasta!

Really tasty pizza, and you can get it delivered next door to Mothers Tavern. The staff is friendly, the pizza delicious, the restaurant is clean and perfectly located near my kayak launch. I recommend it.

My husband and I have patronized Sunset Pizza for many years. Hector and Ozzie as well as their new cook, Ricardo, are like family. The food is fresh and tasty. Once you sit down, it’s not long before you get a basket of hot bakes breaded with Parmesan cheese on the top. Yummy! We always order 4 cheese pizza extra thin and crispy and they know we like it prepared that way. I’ve enjoyed many dishes: cheese manicotti, cheese ravioli, minestrone soup(the best around Huntington Beach) and gnocchi arrabiata-all of them are excellent. Service is very good and it is always a busy place on the weekend. A tip is to go off hours such as dinner at 3 or 4 to beat the crowds.

Yummy food, we were looking for a good Italian restaurant in the area, this will be a new regular! We had spaghetti with sausage, and chicken fettuccine Alfredo, bread wine, what else could you ask for !

So I’m starting by trying a bowl of soup. They provide a basket of garlic bread(fresh). This is a small place with one big booth in the corner, six tables and a counter where the kitchen is right in front of you. They seem very friendly.

This place is super small but very quaint. It’s located on the busy pch and can get quite loud inside when they have all the Windows opened. There is a café next door which seems to be very popular bikers and makes the street noise more amplified when bikers pull out on their motorcycles. Besides the loud noise outside, the restaurant is quaint with few tables and bar counter seating. After a long bike ride along the beach, my son tells me he’s starving for pizza. We order him the cheese pizza there and this boy said it was good as he ate almost the entire pizza by himself. I had the chicken Alfredo penne pasta which was good but didn’t get to eat much as I was too full from munching from their delicious bread! Another family member ordered the meatball sub and it was pretty good and huge portion. It looked like there was two subs on that plate. It was added with green peppers and onions and it made it even more tastier. I’m glad the Unilocal app can even help find the hole in the wall restaurants nearby. Definitely was worth trying out the place.

This restaurant deserves no less than 5 stars, if the scale would larger I would have given it even more. My boyfriend and I were looking for somewhere to get a late bite on night and I came across this gem on Unilocal. We decided to give it a shot as we were in the mood for Italian and I’m so glad we did. Since then I gave gone twice, once with my mom for her birthday dinner, and again with my boyfriend just the other night. They never fail to disappoint. There is so much I can say about why you should dine here but I will keep it simple. Great selection, amazing food, excellent service, and comfortable environment. Each time I have gone I have ordered something new and I haven’t disliked anything yet. I will definitely be going back again and again, this is one of my favorite restaurants I have ever been too, all around.

Ate here tonight. Might be the 512 th time. It was good. Took home ½ the dinner. What can we say? We like it. It’s good and it’s casual. Oh, friendly good service.

Came in here for dinner one Friday night because another Italian restaurant we wanted to go to on PCH had an hour wait and we were too hungry to wait. We didn’t order any pizza because we were craving pasta. Quaint little dimly lit restaurant that resembles a cozy family home. The ambiance was romantic and service was friendly and attentive. I liked the open kitchen and the chefs running around and working together. Our server refilled our garlic bread twice(which is freakin amazing here, by the way). They come in small hot cubes and are packed with flavor. The menu was very extensive and we were excited to decide on dishes to share. All kinds of pasta, so don’t be fooled into thinking this is just a pizza place. For appetizers we ordered the Mussels Al Vino. I love anything mussels, but this dish was just not good. It was extremely oily and had way too strong of a wine flavor. A bit intoxicating and almost bitter. The mussels were large and juicy but the taste was just overwhelming. The white wine flavor drowned out the fresh garlic and capers, unfortunately. My man ordered a lasagna, which was sub-par. I guess it’s difficult to make an amazing lasagna that blows all other lasagnas out of the water. I ordered the Penne Al Pimento, which was a penne pasta dish with lots of sauteed vegetables and some italian sausage. Sounds fool-proof, right? When the dish arrived, I was disappointed to see that the pasta had absolutely no sauce. I knew that it was a white wine and olive oil dish, but it really tasted like something that I could have made at home. I also kept sprinkling extra salt and pepper on it. The whole dish was bland and, again, extremely oily. My stomach hurt for the rest of the night and it was difficult to fall asleep because our dinner was so oily and heavy. We will probably not be back again.

I got food poisoning from this place. We ordered food and it came out cold, they brought it back out hot and we ate and I spent the night puking my brains out

Pizza was a little too thick, but good flavor. Shells were delicious. Garlic was powerful. Bread sticks were good. The place was packed and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Great and friendly service and amazing food. We had breadsticks and pizza(Greek and BBQ). Very filling as the pizzas are thick and well topped. Thanks Sunset and Osi!

Walked in and there was only counter space for my husband and I. Sitting right in front of the cooks was intriguing and kind of fun, though my hopes for a mellow intimate date night got turned around with the distraction of the chaos in the kitchen. How the heck do they do it with just 4 burners?! I don’t know why the cooks are put through that mess, an upgrade to more burners is overdue. There were times where I’d catch our server get irritated and give lip to one of the cooks. He handled his cool real well and I was impressed, but I was also embarrassed for him. The servers attitude is felt and watched by customers too, and it really bothered me. She was super nice to us but it was hard not to feel uncomfortable whenever she would make snarky comments to the cook. To her credit he messed up on our dish which was supposed to come with a different sauce than what was presented, but because she had been irritated with him over the course of the night, I did not want to cause a scene so I just let it go. My pasta dish was still good, but it wasn’t what I was originally going for. My server caught on at the end that the wrong sauce was served and made sure to see if we were okay with it or not. I do appreciate her willingness to tend to us, but I wish the same kindness was extended to the cook. I thought maybe some positive reinforcement would help him? I must say our antipasto salad that we started off with was SO good. Besides the pasta that I mentioned earlier, we also ordered a personal pizza, and it was unfortunately disappointing. My husband said it reminded him of a Digiorno pizza, which I totally agree with. Our pizza had too thick of dough and it seemed undercooked. I prefer thin crust which is what their larger pizzas are. Overall, I’m glad I came, but am not too eager to return.

Service staff was very nice and welcoming. You are served complimentary bread while you go over the menu. The bread was toasted on the outside and soft on the inside with a sprinkling of cheese. We ordered the antipasto and pizza. I had the sunset pizza and added olives. I look forward to stoppng by again when I’m in the area next. The beer selection is a little for for my liking so I chose a coors light.

Now just picture me SUNSET beach living, Riding through the SET, riding through the SUNSET Now stop tripping, just give me a minute And wait till the sun, wait till the sun goes down And you know how I Unilocal now, and you know how I write down Ill entertain you just wait till the sun goes down You know how I Unilocal now, you know how I write down Might get a little crazy just wait till the sun goes down Gotta Love Kid Ink… I wasn’t going to write this review because I wanted to keep this place a secret for a while but my fingers started itching and I felt compelled to express myself via a Unilocal review. I’m a water rat so I’m in this area a lot SUP’ing or kayaking and I tend to work up an appetite. This particular time I went SUP’ing with a Unilocal bud Tora and a couple of her friends. We had a blast and I of course got hungry toward the end. Tora said she would join me but her friends had other plans. We decided to try this place as it was right across the street from where we were SUP’ing so it was easy, close and we didn’t have to move our cars and hunt for parking again. We walked in and were greeted right way and went to find a seat to sit. It’s a beach restaurant so it a few steps on from a hole in the wall but it is pretty baby butt tiny. We were given menus and started to peruse and see what we wanted. Tora said she wasn’t picky at all and eats everything and she was off to the restroom to change her clothes and let me pick WHATEVER! Wow so COOL! I selected a small BBQ chicken pizza because I wanted to see how their pizza was plus I figured we could split it. When she came back I needed to wash my hands but told her to pick whatever and we can split everything so she went with the antipasto salad. GREATCHOICE! And we got some non-alcohol drinks even though I spied that they had a few bottles of wine. The place was PRETTYEMPTY except for one other couple sitting at the bar. You can see part of the kitchen in the front as well as watch the cook prepare some foods like pizza, salads, pasta dishes, etc., because it’s such a small space. There is an old world style to the place that has a nice Italian charm. None of that fancy-smancy Italian leather décor. It’s a beach city and has a VERY laidback feel to it. We chatted and they brought over bread which I wasn’t going to eat but I did end up having a piece. REALLYGOOD, and SOFT! Next our pizza came out and PIPINHOT! They brought over extra plates or we asked for them I can’t remember. Next the antipasto salad came out. We dug in lapping it all up. The pizza was good. NOT overly saucy but had a good amount on it! It was what I’d expected an Italian pizza to look and taste like! VERYGOOD, SOFTCRUST, NOTOILY or hard dough and it had a nice BAKED crunch to it! They actually have two sizes of pizzas and if you get the small like we did two peeps can share and each will get 2 mini slices or you can split 4 ways and add on other things from the menu or just eat the entire thing yourself. The antipasto salad was a GOODSIZE for two people to share. It had 3 types of meat on it and some cheese, tomatoes, olives and Italian dressing. I REALLYLIKEDIT and it went well with the pizza! SOOOOGOOD! I even sopped up the dressing at the end with one of the pieces of bread. YUM! Service was GREAT! SUPERNICEANDFRIENDLY. They kept our cup filled and checked on us but didn’t hover so we were able to have a NICE conversation. When we were finished they didn’t rush us out which was NICE and we got to just sit and relax and chat. REALLYCOOL! I’m sure I’ll be back as I’m always around here doing some water activity.
