Absolutely love their food. Its become a weekend ritual for us now. Sat in Sunnyvale, or Sun in Campbell :) We prefer the Plate Me because it has a healthy combination of salad, hummus and falafels. Their baklava is something, and its vegan! In fact all items on their menu are vegan. They also have a location in SF, which has a nicer deal on combo(dolma, baklava and plate me is only 10 something!)

Love the spicy falafels! The workers are super nice and helpful and are very generous with samples if you ask for some. They can get pretty busy. I’ve waited around half an hour for my food before but it’s definitely worth it. Great to get and walk around the farmers market.

Visit Sunnyvale’s farmers market on Saturday afternoons and pick up a delicious falafel pita sandwich from the flying falafel! They are wonderful and only $ 8. Super filling. Pita bread is warm, soft and doughy just how I like it. Falafels were more yellow colored than I’ve had before and had a curry like taste to me. Anyways they were nice and crunchy and very plentiful! Cooked them right on the spot so they were extremely fresh and hot. There was a lot of pickled veggies and fresh veggies in the pocket which I loved. Great place to grab a healthy bite for lunch!

Awesome is one word to describe the falafel that this place serves. I go to the farmers market just to grab their pita sandwich. Amazing pita bread, a LOT of spicy falafel, pickles, carrots, tomatoes, onions, tahini and hot sauce all in $ 8! And the person who makes it never complains even if you ask her to add some more vegetables or sauce. In fact she sometimes gives a couple of falafels extra too! Great people serving freshly made food with a smile. The taste, flavors and the value for money quotient of this place clearly out weighs most Mediterranean restaurants around! Love it.

The falafel flavor is so awesome!!! From my taste level is 9⁄10. I’ve been eating falafel everywhere I go to and live. This is very good. I lived and was so happy with cinnaBaklava. I just wish little less sweet. But good amount of cinnamon flavor!!!

Falafel so damn good you’ll never want to go anywhere else. Really. I’m currently sitting in a falafel restaurant in Cupertino wishing it was the correct day of the week so I could be at Saturday market having Flying Falafel instead. The girl who works in the Flying Falafel booth is an absolute sweetheart, the falafel is obscenely delicious(especially the spicy– oh my god, nothing compares). Tip: They apparently have stamp cards, I just learned about them yesterday. Ask for one– you WILL be back for more :)

The best falafels ever! I cannot find any other falafel pita that compares. There are plenty of vegetables, great sauces, soft pita and their spicy falafels are soooo good. It has become my go to place every week in Campbell.

Had this today at the Sunnyvale Farmer’s Market. My girlfriend and I were very underwhelmed by the food; it was just rather bland. The spicy falafel was not spicy and the sesame falafel was blah. The hummus was rather chunky with some unconvincing lemon and garlic flavors. The best part of the experience were the people working behind the counter because they’re very friendly, animated, and fun. Plus-one star for that.
Compared to other nearby options for falafel(like Oren’s in Palo Alto or Falafel’s Drive-In in San Jose) this place falls flat in my opinion. By all means, give them a try for yourself, but I’m positive I won’t be going back.

The Flying Falafel is at my company’s café every Wednesday serving up Falafel three ways: Wraps, Plates(+veggies), and«Hummus Saucer»(Falafel, Hummus, Veggies) along with their CinnaBaklava. The«Hummus Saucer» plate at our café is what their website calls the«Falafel Frisbee»(which I thought was odd) so you get a scoop of hummus hollowed into a crater and filled with lettuce, carrots, cucumber, tomato topped with 5 falafel balls drizzled with tahini along with pieces of whole wheat pita( ) I don’t know if they rotate their falafel flavors(sesame, parlsey, spicy), but they were spicy on the day I tried them. Cooked in big batches, by the time I dug in, they weren’t crispy, but I enjoyed the mild spiciness of the mixture. The veggies were fresh and the pita was fluffy and tender. The hummus was a little grainy in texture; it had OK flavors, but probably the weakest part of the plate for me.

I get so excited when these guys come to my company’s café. The guys are so friendly and will even give you a sample falafel while you wait in line. The falafels are the best I’ve tasted and come fresh from the fryer so they are hot! The best part is that these falafels come with a little spicy kick

This Flying Falafel is one of the little tent gems of Sunnyvale’s Saturday Farmer’s Market. If you’re not in the mood for an afternoon falafel, grab a box to go and freeze them. Then you can eat their perfectly seasoned falafels all week long. Not sure which of the three falafel flavors is your favorite: spicy, organic sesame, or parsley? They’ll let you sample one of these tasty little balls of joy for free. The guy here is a riot and you can tell he loves his job. I wish I could bottle his happiness and energy! Watch those falafels fly into my mouth and disappear like magic. In addition to Sunnyvale, you can find the Flying Falafel at these Farmer’s Markets: Los Altos, Santa Clara, Campbell, Walnut Creek, Cambrian Park & Concord.

I tried the falafel pocket($ 7): Very good. falafel is crunchy and very flavorful. Bread is nice and fluffy, and looks to be whole wheat. They have three types of falafel: organic sesame, parsley, and spicy. I recommend the falafel plate($ 7): The falafel is so good that it’s better to enjoy them without all the condiments/veggies getting in the way. Skip the cinnaBakalva($ 2): It sucks. The texture is like having a mouthful of sawdust. Extra bonus: the guy who runs the tent is endlessly entertaining.

I love the Flying Falafel! The guys working at the Sunnyvale location are really friendly and it’s great to be out, do some grocery shopping, and grab a spicy falafel pocket here. I started out sharing a falafel wrap with my boyfriend, but we quickly learned that we cannot share anymore because it’s so goooooood! We also visit the Campbell Flying Falafel if we miss this one on Saturday and it’s equally good there. Wish they would open one in SF? Please? Pretty please?

The hardest part of a review is writing one. So I’m going to keep this one simple. Every Saturday we walk to our Sunnyvale Farmers Market and get the same thing at the Flying Falafel. What we order. 1. A spicy falafel pita pocket with everything.(we share) It’s just that simple. Always served with a smile, a friendly conversation and assembled with artistic flare. Honestly a great eat! So for the other reviews that may argue with this one … Sure, we’ll try other places for falafels, but it will be hard to beat our Saturday Farmers Market treat at the Flying Falafel.

They have an amazing falafel and awesome veggie relish to put atop your pita pocket. No other falafel places compare. I crave it all the time and try to hit them up whenever I am in a neighborhood Farmer’s market where they are located. As of right now, I only know of Los Altos, Sunnyvale, and Santa Cruz. Mmm.
