Staffs always helpful. Love this place. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone

This is by far the best cup of specialty coffee you can get! The Cortado is amazing, and their special blend from Copa Vida is a perfect. The service is fast and the baristas are friendly. This is the perfect place to study, hangout with friends or have a meeting; with beautiful furniture, string lights, and just a great environment to be in. Not to mention the amazing prices!

I’m so glad to have found Steeple House Coffee. I was working near the Burbank airport one day and this was the probably the only place within a 5 mile radius that serves specialty coffee. It’s located on GraceWalk right next to the Masters Seminary and Grace Community Church. For the espresso, they use a custom blend of beans from Copa Vida called the Grace Espresso. It’s neither too dark or bright, slightly more complex than the classic espresso profile. Besides espresso based drinks, Steeple offers pourovers, cold brew, and drip. For the more adventurous customers, there is a flight available called the«Purple and Black» that includes a single espresso, a lavender & honey latte, and lavender sparkling water. I went with the cappuccino. It’s the standard 6oz size here. The cappuccino had hints of peachy flavor when the drink cooled down. For the price($ 2.75), you won’t find a better cup of espresso with Barista milk. Great drinks, low key environment, much lower prices compared to typical third wave coffee shops. This place is a hidden gem.

My favorite neighborhood coffee places and I love how they serve Copa Vida coffee so I don’t have to trek all the way to Pasadena! The quality has been very consistant. Mid-Valley we need more coffee places like these. Hint: There’s lots of available spaces here to make(coffee) shop. *wink wink*

I hate coffee– or rather, I hated coffee. My previous experiences with bad coffee left me convinced that coffee was made from left over asphalt that had been distilled with cigarette butts… However, I had just started grad school when I first stopped by Steeplehouse, and with my 10 class work-load, I knew that the flimsy tea that got me through undergrad was no longer going to do the trick. I told my dilemma to Matt, the barista, and he made me the 2nd coffee I’ve ever enjoyed, and the 1st coffee I’ve ever ordered of my own volition. Unfortunately, I cannot for the life of me remember what he ended up giving me(*sigh* I was so uninitiated back then…), but I really liked it! The taste was smooth and not bitter at all, not too sweet, and with enough kick to help me study through the night. I wasn’t able to stick around the actual coffee shop, but while I was waiting for my drink, I felt like I was in a hipster’s Pinterest account. Which was much more pleasant than it sounds. The wooden tables and interior décor were really well done, and the atmosphere of the place was laid back and friendly. The coffeehouse is located on the campus of Grace Community Church, and can be reached by turning into the church from the Nagle x Roscoe intersection. There’s a huuuuge parking lot in the back with free parking, no time limit. I really wish I lived in the area, because I would totally visit SHC more often to study and catch up with friends! Thanks again Matt and SHC for starting me on my road toward caffeine addiction! Yours was the gateway drug ;)

Went here the other day for the first time to study since my friend highly recommended this place. It’s kind of hard to miss since it is inside the Grace Community campus– so when you’re mapping your way to this coffee shop, you’re gonna have to go inside the parking lot and park in the back lot. Parking is free and there’s lots of space. Interior is super cute. Wood furniture all around. Great to take pictures and post on Instagram! Staff is super friendly! My friend and I were greeted automatically once we entered. Mikaela(sp?) gave such great hospitality and asked for our names as well(which you don’t normally get asked when you go to a coffee shop). Ordered a honey lavender and rose latte, and my goodness, yes! Highly recommend ordering that! Might try that iced next time I go. Downside of this place is that it does close at 4pm. Wish it closes later so I can study longer and not have to move to a classroom upstairs(which is why I gave a 4 star… wish I could do 4.5) Overall, one of my favorite coffee shops in town! Would love to see this place grow a lot more :)

Literally a star inside an unknown galaxy. A friend and I stumbled across S.H.C when looking for a coffee shop NOT starbucks affliated or typical names around the city. This was such a rare gem considering its in Sun Valley. I cant explain much further into details without saying you feel at peace here. Non-rushed. Amazing service and delicious treats. The coffee was so tasty and did not upset my stomach like most drinks do. VIsit this location if you are near the area. You will get such an enjoyment

Awesome service, ok coffee. It was very bitter which I’m not a fan of, but not the worst coffee I’ve had with almond milk.

In need of a little worship with your coffee? Here you go. I didn’t realize this place was on the property of Grace Community church until I arrived. I was apprehensive to exit my vehicle but I did not spontaneously burst into flames as some might think and I was not kidnapped and brainwashed… phew. I enjoy strong coffee and this coffee is strong. Cute little coffee shop with helpful staff and nice indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating has signage for sections like Praise, Worship, Serve, Outreach and Love… pretty neato. I sat in the SIN section because I knew I would be safe. With the amount of very conservatively dressed people here it looks like a college campus sponsored by a JCPenny catalog.

honestly the only good coffee shop near my house. Love love love their tea selection, especially the white tip jasmine and earl grey(I get my tea as a latte with either soy or almond milk.) Their gruyère crossaint is amazeballz. All their staff is very friendly :) Too bad they’re closed on Saturdays!

This coffee place is located inside a religious campus. It was confusing at first, but I called them and they told me how to get there. You park the car and then walk towards the center of the buildings where you will find plenty of outdoor seating. My boyfriend and I ordered 2 small lattes($ 3 each) and we were pleased. The temperature was just right and they were smooth in taste. I don’t know if I would come back here, yet, but I can recommend anyone to go and try it once. The people there were extra friendly and the setting was the right amount of trendy, whatever that means. Haha I accidentally paid them a dollar extra and the guy came to my table after to return it. That was very honest of them. Although, I was in a religious location.

Though small and potentially difficult to find if you are not familiar with the setting(It lies deep within the campus of Grace Community Church), it is a terrific little coffee shop. Brick and mortar interior hearkens back to a simpler time. The employees are very friendly and helpful. Even the regular visitors are amicable. Altogether, an ideal place to do some casual reading or computer/paperwork. Only caveat is that their hours are more limited than I would like, but definitely recommended!

This place is beautiful! It’s inside a place of Worship so don’t expect to see it from the streets. I did lol everyone is very friendly and helpful! I had a tea latte for the first time ever, and it was delicious! Wifi, quaint, and perfect. The inside is a little small, but there is ample outside seating. When it get’s warmer I wouldnt mind sitting outside. Inside they have a couple cute artificial log tables! Very nice place! Even better it’s inside a Place of Worship.

I was interested in trying my first cup of coffee and went in one morning before work. It was a little hard to find it inside of the shopping center(mainly because I was in a rush), but I asked someone in the area and they pointed me right to it. Getting my coffee was quick and straightforward. I was in and out in under a few minutes, and there was only one other person in there, who was at the table reading. I’d definitely revisit this spot in the future.

What can I say. These guys are always faithful in giving the best quality coffee. If you like Copa Vida, you’ll love this place. They use Copa Vida’s coffee beans. The prices are cheaper than Starbucks and better taste. If you like you’re cup ‘o Joe, you’ll realize you want to come here often. The location is nice as well. Plenty of seatings inside and outside the shop. Check this place out and you won’t regret it. :)

Needed a break from hipsters and this seemed like the perfect place. And it was. It’s located on the peaceful campus of a church/seminary and from the moment you step onto the grounds you can feel the wholesome, welcoming vibe. Strangers smiled at me. The people who worked there shook my hand and asked my name. The experience was so quaint and so disorienting that it was as though a time machine had delivered me to a drought ravaged, ethnically diverse version of Iowa circa 1952. Even the prices were an anachronism — $ 2 for Art of Tea? Thanks Hannah and Jonathan. I’ll be back for that rooibos latte. Note the unusual hours: open till only 4 pm Monday/Tues/Thurs/Friday; till 9 pm Wednesdays; closed Saturday; open off and on Sunday.

Service, quality of the coffee, and atmosphere are all top notch. Slightly hard to find and the hours are slightly limited, but don’t let that stop you. Anyone on the church campus can direct you there easily, and once you find it, you won’t want to leave. Great environment to read or study, and the food there is also delicious. Top marks all around!

So, this café is harder to find than I thought and there aren’t really good directions on how to find this place. Park in the parking lot, go straight ahead through the quad area and on your right side you will see string lights with wooden tables and chairs, high tables and low tables. The café will be on the right. Now, the coffee is actually pretty good. This surprised me since its smack dab in the middle of a church catering to church goers. They have several coffee options for their pour overs, the baristas are quick and know what they’re doing! Small batch roasted coffee that you can taste the quality. Not what I was expecting! If you order to stay you get to drink your coffee with an instagram ready presentation, wooden board and latte art and all. And to tie it all together, the prices are decent!!! Solid café, solid coffee, solid service. Solid.

I absolutely love this place! I come here at least twice a week. The coffee is always great, the people are very nice, and it’s just an awesome place to hang out. If you like mochas, they have the best in town. ;) It’s in the middle of the Grace Community Church campus, so don’t think that you’re lost if you’re parking at the church. If you come on a Sunday, grab come coffee, hear an incredible sermon at the church, and enjoy yourself :)

Such a great find thanks to Unilocal!Came by the coffee shop on a Friday afternoon as I was Unilocaling coffee shops in the neighborhood. Based on my Unilocal research, there aren’t really any unique coffee shops in the immediate area, but Steeple House Coffee is everything people on Unilocal have reviewed have said. Located within a church with ample parking, the café is peaceful and there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to stopy by with friends, grab coffee on the go, or to get some light studying and reading done. The barista’s are soooo friendly and offer great recommendations for your needs. To top it all off, the coffee is delicious and not over-priced! I would highly recommend anyone to visit this coffee shop(you don’t need to be Christian) and will definitely visit again when in the area!

I can’t not give this coffee shop less than 5 stars. I haven’t been this impressed by a coffee shop in all categories(quality of coffee, ambience, barista friendliness) in quite a while. First off, you have to know that this place is located smack dab in the middle of the Grace Community Church campus, so you’re going to have to navigate your way through some buildings to get here. I find the Edison bulbs on campus that lead the way to the café endearing especially close to sunset and after a long work week. I came here yesterday to decompress, muscles aching and body low on sugar after quite a week/series of days that tested my emotional well-being. I was immediately greeted by a lovely barista with such a genuine smile on her face. You can tell she enjoys bringing joy to peoples’ lives by simply making them coffee! I ordered my usual at any coffee shop, which is also my litmus test for any coffee shop I happen to be trying for the first time: a cortado. Also ordered the pumpkin tea cake because hey, it’s pumpkin season. I paid with my card and the barista made it a point to include my name when she said she’ll have my coffee ready shortly. It’s the little things :’) Anyway, ambience. The space itself is small with two wooden stumps as tables + two bigger tables perfect for study groups. Outside, there is a courtyard with even more tables where you may enjoy your coffee. My cortado was smooth and the pumpkin tea cake was delicious. I stayed here for about two hours just catching up on reading. Asked for a bag for my cake leftovers, said thank you and good night, and the barista again included my name when she said good night! She was wonderful and I wish I were friends with her! All in all, I was pleasantly surprised by this little coffee shop. I can say with absolute certainty that I will be back here again and again and again.

You will know what to expect as soon as you step in by the overwhelming aromas and smiling faces. I highly recommend that you ask the baristas to teach you about coffee. They are experts! They also love teaching people about this stuff. I was so inspired I bought my own pourover set with a hand grinder. Get myself a bag of steeplehouse beans and I’m set for the week. If you want pastries, go for the cookie.

Don’t put this in the same category as «church» coffee… this place can hold its own. TIP: Pull into the parking lot behind Grace Community Church(off Roscoe Blvd and Nagle). Park near the Tower Building and Family center, and follow the Edison bulbs to the«GraceWalk»(the breezeway between the Tower Building and the Heritage Building). The shop is directly in the center of campus, but feel free to ask anyone you see to point you in the right direction.

I Unilocaled an internet café to find a good spot beside Starbucks to study and we hit a goldmine. A little cute café with lots of tables inside as well as outdoor, free WiFi, quiet, great service, decent price, friendly staffs, good drinks and easy parking area. Who would of thought a café in the middle of church would be our new favorite spot. Open late on Sundays(midnight) What to try: Cappuccino Assam gold latte over ice Chamomile tea
