I recently saw Dr Boozan for a blocked tear duct. I was horrified at how he handled such a delicate treatment– zero care or concern for the patient. I was mishandled multiple times w that issue and finally misdiagnosed with a possible lacrimal stone. Just when I thought it couldn’t get worse, dr Boozan sent the specimen to the lab WITHOUT getting a proper biology report on it so it was never confirmed as to what it was!!! I ultimately left and started seeing a dr in nyc who helped me. Unfortunately, because of Boozans incompetency, I will never know what that specimen was, the dr in ny was really disappointed in not knowing what he was treating bc of that. I would never recommend Dr Boozan.

I went to Dr. Boozan with some tearing and irritation in my eye. He diagnosed me with a fairly rare condition called FLOPPY EYE SYNDROME. He told me that I definitely needed surgery to tighten my eyelid.
I did have FLOPPY EYE SYNDROME but I’ve been to other doctors and it definitely is not a condition that calls for surgery. My visit to Dr. Boozan was 6 years ago since then I occasionally have minor tearing from my eyes but nothing that would call for surgery.

Would you like to be treated as if you were a nobody?
Would you like to be yelled at in front of your child? (by his staff, not him)
Would you like to wait in an office for over an hour, then in a small exam room for another hour, and not get an explanation or an apology?
Would you like a eye exam that takes all of 5 minutes, and not a single one of your questions be answered?
Would you enjoy getting a prescription that seems slightly off, but that no one will listen to you about? Would you like the subsequent headaches from such a prescription?
Would you like to be prescribed with new lenses, to have them be so different from all your old ones that they never seem to fit, and be told you have no options– but to buy large quantities and just try each pair out… forking out about 50 – 100 every time (they don’t do samples)?
Would you subject yourself to being yelled at by the office staff– Ann– and be told you had no common sense– in front of your child?
Would you prefer to not see the doctor for any of your questions to be answered, but only have to have non-​answers from the horribly unfriendly and unhelpful office staff?
Would you like to play an eternal guessing game for this Doctors hours, calling numerous times to only get through to the answering service?
Then I think Dr Boozan and his practice are PERFECT for you!
The only thing I can say that was good about this doctor, was that he called me back twice last year when I was having problems. So that’s nice, he did call me back. However, with everything else, I would strongly recommend that unless you could honestly answer any of the questions above with a ‘yes’, then you should not go to him. I have never in my life been treated so poorly.
