Game didn’t turned out to be the way I wanted to end. Bartender Michael recommended some a.m. Beer which little bit grapefruit flavor and another kind loved it. Hit the spot. Nice light spring mix salad w/chicken and parm fries. Great. Back for another Gunner’s game soon.

Best Brit food on Ventura Blvd. I had something with puff pastry. It was very good. The atmosphere is great. Only thing would improve it for me is if they played brit pop.

Food was delicious, service was spot on, and the bartender was friendly as well as attentive. I may just have to come in more often now that I live back in the area. There is no reason I gave this 4stars instead of 5. This IS a 5 star venue for anyone that enjoys English Pubs and Sports.

Being«over the hill» doesn’t have to be a bad thing! Karaōke, painting, dart boards, booze, pretty good food(considering it’s a bar), BYO board games… I’d say I had a pretty great time at this joint! Not sure I’d come back because, well, I don’t live«over the hill» but if you do, it’s worth«gulping down»!

One table in the whole restaurant(us) and a few people in the bar and the kitchen couldn’t make a decent meal. I ordered a salad and specifically said to bring it before dinner, it never came, One person in our party waited 15 minutes after our food was served to get their meal. All of the fish and chip orders were cold. Completely classless staff couldn’t even do the decent thing and not charge us, And to add insult to injury, the manager tells us they will give us 20% off the bill and not charge us for the food they didn’t bring us. What nice people. The good news, there is a terrific British Pub also near us called Robin Hood, we will be going there more now.

Good place for watching your favorite football match, specially Champions and World Cup. Good selection of beer . Food? Well… Is a pub and surprisingly not that bad. The menu has a Salmon plate that I enjoy and the portions are more than decent. Lovely waitresses –at least the ones I’ve been served by– friendly environment. TV screens on a 360* view. You won’t miss anything. As long as there is Football; I’ll be back. The only thing is good luck finding a parking spot.

Darts! If not for darts, it’s quite possible I would never have stepped foot into The Kings Head II. It wasn’t for the food. Not for the adult beverages. Not for the DJ and the music. The vibe here was pretty cool. People were friendly and it seemed like everyone knew one another. The service seemed good enough for a pub. Too bad the dart boards are neglected. They were so bad that after just a few games, my dart team mate and I walked out to find a pub, with boards in better condition for a practice session. I tried numerous shims to keep the board in place but after a few throws, the board would spin like a record. The board was also so dried out that at least one out of three throws would end up bouncing out and on the floor. As for the rest of the establishment, it looked like good times for all. I’ll be back again for some of that — just definitely not for the darts. By the way — lots of street parking — especially across the street.

Kings Head II is home to the Los Angeles Chelsea Blues, the official support group of Chelsea FC. That being said, the group meets here on almost a weekly basis(sometimes twice in a week) depending on the frequency of matches. The staff and owner are really great. They open at 4am for certain matches provided that enough people will go. Really hospitable even if the owner is a supporter of another club. Atmosphere is good. They a lot of football matches. from the English Premier League to La Liga and if I am not mistaken, Bundesliga too. I sometimes see some folks watching american football as well. I haven’t really eaten anything here apart from the Fish and Chips. but ITISAWESOME. I always get the two piece one. And i am addicted to it. I am not sure if it’s exceptional though because it feels very standard, no twists, just straight up exactly like how you would expect it, so that, in itself is great. Just classic no frills fish and chips with generous BLOCKS of haddock(if i am not mistaken) Parking is sometimes hard. but NOTE that they have a lot at the back! Sometimes it is open for match days, sometimes it is not.

First thing to note… Parking is terrible… And, I drove by it several times as it is a bit obscure and hidden. That being said, this place is an awesome little pub! The set up was rather unique and they had a great selection of beer on tap. We came for Paint Nite LA and we arrived during happy hour… Great happy hour pricing and lots of appetizer specials a well. Will totally go back again now that I know its there. Great place to hang out with your friends and enjoy a cold beer!

This doesn’t really matter because when we were there last night, we were told it is closing soon, but I will review anyway, in case that changes. Fine place for drinks and hanging out with friends, as well as for trivia, but my food left something to be desired(in true British fashion?), and I actually couldn’t even finish it The veggie burger was not very good and the sweet potato fries were even worse. I would go back for drinks, but probably would not eat the food(or maybe just an app or side).

Trying to find a close pub that we could walk to and cheer on the USA for the World Cup game against Portugal. We decided to try out the Kings Head and we were not disappointed. Obviously the place was packed. By the time the game started it was standing room only. They brought out some extra chairs but there really is only so much that you can do to accomodate such a large crowd. Service was spot on and that is saying a lot seeing how ridiculously packed it was. They were pushing food and drinks out as fast as they could. I was surprised when a server asked if we needed drinks. I thought we could only order from the bar which had a long line. We got our drinks in no time and they were well poured. We had a few rounds of drinks and some amazing buffalo wings. Super fresh, crisp and smothered in traditional wing sauce. Perfection for wings. We enjoyed the match even with Portugal ripping our hearts out in the last 15 seconds. I hope to come back and watch more games, hopefully with better outcomes.

You had me at English Breakfast. I ordered the Kings Breakfast and an English Muffin on the side. At $ 12.95 you get a decent portion of food, but I was a bit disappointed that they forgot the baked beans! *insert sad face* The meal itself was filling and hearty, but not the best I’ve had. They also offer a vegetarian version incase you’re not a meat-atarian like muah. Love the pub venue and indoor/outdoor seating. This place is decieving and looks small from the outside, but it definitely has AMPLE seating on the inside. The staff is beyond friendly and make you feel at home. Shoutout to Ian the bartender for helping us out! We did arrive on Sunday morning only to find one girl working while the place was busy– I didn’t get anxious or upset so I ended up ordering at the bar to help her out. I’d suggest coming here to watch any sporting event or the World Cup! They have happy hour from 3 – 7 M-F and have limited parking in the back. I think they have trivia night(on Wed?) and a DJ(on Fri & Sat?) Cheers! *Side Note: Dog friendly — as long as you’re on the patio*

Wow what a shame, what a shame. A place that I have been to several times before and always enjoyed will now be a place I will never visit again. Thank you bartender and bar-back that worked here on Sat night, 4÷6÷2014. I placed an order for chicken strips with the bartender and paid, along with a few drinks my buddies got. Thirty — forty minutes later and no food, so I went to the bar and asked for the status. I witnessed a bunch of confusion between the bartender and bar-back on what occurred with the order. Either-way, my order was not even started at this point. Another 30 minutes and I walk back to the bar to check on my order. After over 1 hour of waiting I was notified that my food was given to another table instead of me «in error». Please note that it was just our table and one other table with people at this part of the bar(by the dart games). There was no apology, there was no offer to get me anything else, there was no free drink, nothing. I was given my money back with not a single word. In fact, both the bartender and bar-back though it was funny and gave two f*#ks. I’m glad these two were able to laugh at their own incompetence. I understand mistakes occur, no one is perfect. I would have been fine with an apology and a smile or a free beer/drink. Management/Ownership please take note. Customer service is key in the hospitality industry and obviously those two members of your staff don’t have that skill or just don’t care. PS: Most of my 630 plus reviews are positive, so please don’t think I’m some idiot/hater with a few reviews and a few friends that is writing a bad review for no reason. Nope, I’m Unilocal Elite for 4 years now. I hate writing these kind of reviews but when I get awful customer service I will use Unilocal to let others know about it. There are plenty of other bars in the area that will show their patrons respect.

I had a scotch egg(weird texture and taste) and the leg of lamb(dry and flavorless). My husband and our lunch partner both had fish and chips, which was spectacular. The serving of fish and chips was so large that my husband and I could have easily shared and saved quite a bit of money, because this place is not cheap. Not sure I would make the trek for fish and chips, but at least they have that going for them.
