The service sucks! The sushi is average at the best! I guess that’s what expected from a sushi joint that is open till midnight and all the sushi is prepared with no tender loving care! They forgot our order. They through the receipts on the sushi! How sanitary is that! I think I can make a sushi as good as any one of them! No thank you I am not coming back!

Iroha has been a long time favorite of mine, so I guess I just happen to come in on a bad day. First off, our sunomonu salad tasted old. The cucumber tasted like it had been sitting out for a while(extremely hard to chew). Second, the spicy tuna just tasted a little off and extra creamy(in 3 different spicy tuna rolls we ordered). I did try the Marlon roll for the first time and loved it though. I’m sad my latest visit wasn’t up to par with all the other times I had come in. Maybe I’ll give them another shot some time.

Great food with a lovely ambiance to match! Celebrated my GD mothers birthday and had such a great time. They didn’t blow the surprise and brought out the most delicious fruit and ice cream platter on the house! Definitely will come back!

I have a great time every time I come her with my friends. Please try their crispy rice burgers :) they are something else! Delicious experience just expect the rice to be sticky. Their spicy tuna crispy rice is too good not to try.

My guy and I stopped in for dinner after a meeting in the valley… he’d been many times in his previous valley life, and it was a first for me. I loved it. The place was quaint and cute and the food was amazing — fresh, non-fishy(I know it’s sushi but it shouldn’t be fishy! :) and overall just really yum. Nice service, nice experience, sweet and airy outdoor patio seating and ambiance. Not stupid crazy expensive but more pricey than your typical go to sushi joint on a weeknight… well worth it any night! We’ll definitely be back!

I hadn’t been this pleased with a sushi spot for soooooooo long. Usually, if the food is bomb, the setting is whatever& if the setting is nice, the food is eh(except Koi of course!)– but with Iroha… the setting was adorable with stringed lights & yummmmy food. I definitely recommend this spot. Valet 5 $ in the front. For food, there’s such a variety– to the point that I could come everyday for a month and I’ll still be able to try a new plate or dish. Our waitress was so friendly and overall, I had an amazing experience. Based off my personal experience, crunchy was the only thing we didn’t like but definitely get the spicy tuna crispy rice(or rice cake), eggplant, creamy shrimp, shishito peppers, ALBACORE!!!, ahi tuna tartar & dessert: the hot cake + seasonal fruits. Allllllll so good. That’s just 50% of our experiences! Can’t wait to be back

Kudos to the gentleman who decided to take me out on a date here; this place is super charming and the ideal location for a date night. The actual restaurant is hard to spot unless you know what you’re looking for and the valet parking area is pretty small. BUT once you find this little nugget you will be happy you’ve done so. The outside is peppered with cute succulent plants and painting. The inside is equally as charming with a romantic inside with lights glistening across the ceiling. The wait for the bar area is a bit longer but it’s worth it if you want the added experience of having the chef freshly slice sashimi in your face. I arrived about 20 mins before my date and they graciously seated me without him(thank goodness) and I ordered the garlic spicy edamame. It was super tasty and more than enough for two people to share. For my main dish I had the Caterpillar Roll with sliced avocado on top of freshwater eel. It was super tasty! Loved every bite of it and when my date hated his meal he opted for this roll as well. It’s pretty safe but extremely flavorful. The price point is a bit pricey(about 18 bucks for the Caterpillar Roll) but the charm and ambiance really makes it worth it. Not to mention the food is really tasty. The service was spotty, our waitress was super nice but not very attentive but it could have been because it was a busy. Although the guy who took me here never called me back(streets are cold), at least he introduced me to a gem! Would certainly come back to try their immense menu on another date, cause I’m not paying… does that sound mean… well a girl has to eat!

Great sushi, many options! Service is also good! Some of my favorites are tuna on crispy brown rice, crunchy roll, pink panther and the spicy mushroom soup.

This review is based on their rice burger. And I also wanna say that I don’t know much about this nor have I had a rice burger that completely changed my life. So this is going to be very subjective. I thought that the rice burger with spicy tuna was decent in pieces. The rice patty which was my favorite part, had great texture and a good vinegar-y sushi rice flavor. The Tuna part of the burger, was good too. I just wish there was more of it. The overall bite of the burger was underwhelming. I was expecting a sushi taste, but got an overflow of rice, tomato, onion and lettuce. The proportions were completely off for me. I ended up removing the top part of the burger, tomato, onion, lettuce and left the avocado and immediately the bite was better. I think they should rethink the proportions because i think people are expecting to have more sushi taste than a condiment/side taste you know? I would even try to maybe cut the tomatoes and onions and have an option of adding it yourself later to taste, With the price that they are charging, they should double the sushi, reduce the rice and maybe cut the condiments in half. There was not enough«meat» and felt like they compensated with the tomatoes and onions instead. Eating the rice patty on its own was very pleasurable tho. I enjoyed that very much. I would have passed this off as decent but it was very expensive. If I am not mistaken it was about $ 17 since i looked at my receipt and it was $ 34 for two of those tuna burgers. For that price, i would expect a better burger. Im not really enticed to come back. But if my friends end up going here, then ill try again. PS. The crab miso soup was great. I liked it.

Pretty decent sushi, but pretty average compared to what else is available in the city, the valley, or heck, even in the neighborhood! The ambiance itself is really cool. You feel like you’re eating inside of an actual Japanese pagoda. Other than that, its pretty standard Japanese fare.

Pretty disappointed overall. We had a very large party of us so we ordered probably at least a dozen or a dozen and a half different rolls and dishes. Bluntly, nothing was really that incredible. I felt that many of the rolls tasted the same — bland without special flavors or flair to them, and the rice did not seem very fresh on most of the rolls — very creamy and pulverized rice; maybe that’s their special way of rice? One dish that sticks out as being particularly disappointing was the baked scallop dish — SOMUCH heavy cream and sauce slathered the poor little scallops that it was pretty much a stew that wouldn’t let you appreciate the taste or texture of the scallops. The sauce was overwhelming to the point of nausea, which you shouldn’t have a in classic, fairly expensive dish such as that. Service was also very blunt and not particularly friendly. Appetizers came out quickly, but a few of our other dishes were taking longer than the typical sushi turn around time. Tables are also pretty crowded together. I’m in a good mood today so that’s why I think I’m giving 3 stars instead of 2; frankly however I can think of five other sushi places in the area that I’ll go to before coming back here.

Walked in on a Saturday night around 8, and luckily got a table for two right then, despite the place being packed. I ordered: Sashimi combo a la carte — 3 stars. Solid. Not amazing, not bad. What I expected. Nigiri: — sake — toro — spicy hotate — unagi All were good, but the rice was overcooked and inedible. Plus, they ran out of uni… At 8pm on a Saturday? 2.5 stars. Overall this place is more about catering to the hipster /more«Americanized» crowd of the area. Didn’t dig the ambiance either, too loud.

This is an excellent sushi option if you’re in the area! The fish is clean and fresh. And they have a variety of options to choose from. I ordered the following: Pink Panther — The best sushi roll on the menu! I loved this so much. It is an avocado and shrimp tempura roll with sliced albacore and ponzu sauce drizzled on top. It literally melts in your mouth. This is a must! Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice — Delish! It’s crunchy on bottom and spicy on top. I would order this again simply for the crunch. Filet Mignon Appetizer with Jalapeño Ponzu Sauce and Cilantro — Ugh, you have the try this! The cut of the meat is so juicy and the jalapeño ponzu sauce is drool-worthy. I kept pouring the sauce on all the other dishes. Order this! Seaweed Salad — The perfect amount of sesame oil and ponzu sauce. I love seaweed salad and always order one any time I have sushi. This one is one of the best ones I’ve had. The ingredients are high quality and it tasted like a high class dish. Eggplant — This dish is amazing! It’s warm eggplant topped with pine nuts and goodness. It has a hint of cinnamon or something I can’t put my finger on. It’s delicious either way. Salmon and Yellowtail Sushi — Both were delicious. The salmon is the perfect color of pink and the yellowtail tasted so fresh. Agedashi Tofu — I would skip this one. It had no flavor and the tofu falls apart in your mouth. I loved the dinner I had here and would totally come back.

SPICY. TUNA. BURGER enough said. This place is a little tricky to find, it’s hidden so keep your eyes open. We parked across the street cause there is absolutely no parking around the place. It’s a small little restaurant on the outside but huge inside. The spicy tuna burger is on a different menu! First they handed us the regular menu but we couldn’t find it. I saw a picture of the burger on Instagram and that’s what lured me to this place. It was delicious. The crispy rice was a little TOO crispy though, I might add. It hurt my teeth biting into it and chewing it. Maybe next time I could ask them to fry the rice a little less than well done. It came with a side of BBQd peppers and it complimented the burger very well. I’d go back to try their other items on the menu. We were just there for the burger and it filled us right up.

This has been my favorite sushi spot in LA since I moved here. I have never had a bad experience. The fish is always fresh, service is as good as you need it to be. I have never reviewed it, and I wish I had I can just say that consistency is a good way to explain it. I have pictures for this review so it works better! for how fresh this fish is and how it’s so carefully prepared you would expect to pay 20−30% more in my experience. I love it. Los Angeles’s best kept secret! As far as the pricing is considered I would say it’s just between the $$ and $$$ cost per person I have walked out stuffed for $ 50 and very satisfied for around $ 25 so If you want to splurge you can really get a lot of value for your money.
