With space inside and out you can bring your dog and sit in the sun or shade and check out some of the Studio City cuties your choice of various egg white omelettes and other dishes such as their specialty Chili’s make the studio café the place to be. I haven’t had a bad dish since they opened. Inside the walls are peppered with original movie posters and the mixologist really makes some tasty drinks. It’s so hard to pick out any specific dishes except you have to be aware there is one part of the menu that features healthy food. Do check that out you won’t be disappointed.

I’m super bummed to have to write this review. This is been my preferred location for many many years. The staff has changed over the years but I still love the food appreciate they changed their menu to give us more options. I’ve always given this place 5 stars but I’ve stopped bringing my friends here when it comes to the service. So I averaged having breakfast at the bar maybe 3 to 4 times a week. On Saturdays and Sundays I know you have to get here early park on the street or just walk, parking is a challenge here. Today I was the only person sitting at the bar I sat to the far right by the cash register thinking that it be visible to them but no one ask me anything for 5 minutes people coming and going waiting on their tables people doing their hair behind the bar after squatted down. Manager talking to people going over to the other side talking to more people everyone smiling and laughing and enjoying each other, hugging babies and I couldn’t even get a cup of coffee. I finally blurted out«can somebody give me coffee?» Then moved to the other side of the empty bar thinking maybe they’re just not paying attention to me because I’m sitting by the register but that’s where I always sit. So I finally got my coffee but they forgot to give me a spoon or even little spoon Role upset so I walked around for a while trying to find a spoon. So I waited patiently for another 7 to 8 minutes and noticed the manager kind of looking over at this one table they must have been regulars. They were just chatting and talking about the baby. I finally asked her if someone could take my order or who is working the area behind the bar? She was very nice went behind the bar and took my order another 15 – 20 minutes went by my food never arrived(could be because she was the manager acc didn’t check) finally my food came out it was a cold pancake, over easy eggs that you can not warm up, bacon was cold and I told her about it and she says you know what, I’m wondering what’s going on today but there was no resolution. She finally said she would give me 15% off but that wasn’t what I was looking for. I was more than looking for an apology and it was just kind of weird! My bill came to $ 13 I gave them cash and I left the food untouched. it’s the principle of it it wasn’t the money. I tried telling others behind the bar but still no apology. They got $ 13 in cash for nothing I didn’t eat I did not take the food with me and they seem not to care at all. Goodbye Jinkys.

Came here for my first(and last) time recently. I don’t know where to start with the bad. I hate giving bad reviews and almost never do but this was just so, so bad. I felt dirty and ripped off giving my money to them after eating. With the food being as overpriced as it was(yes, even for LA… Since when can you charge $ 15 for a sad sandwich?) I was at least expecting huge portions. The plates came out looking very sad, not appetizing. I felt like it was cafeteria food. I couldn’t figure out what was wrong with my French toast until we got the bill and I realized they gave me the crunchy French toast, which is breaded with cereal or something. Not what I ordered and not sure how you get that wrong on a simple French toast order. The over easy eggs were practically uncooked. Im no chef, but aren’t the egg whites supposed to still be cooked at least partially white even when they’re over easy? Almost the entire inner portion was still clear. Couldn’t eat it. The menus were dirty and grimy. Enough to make me regret not having hand sanitizer on me. Not to mention the bleh service and confused décor. The walls are yellow, the benches are snakeskin, and the tables are green plastic marble, and not in a cute eclectic-mix way. The service staff seemed super apathetic — The opposite of the place we usually go to(Vivienne’s) From the décor to the menu, Jinky’s doesn’t know what kind of restaurant it’s trying to be, and I couldn’t figure it out either. I feel like a snob saying this but I’m surprised it’s able to stay open when there are a bunch of other diner-type places nearby that blow this outta the water. In 5 years in LA I’ve never been so bummed about a restaurant!

First time here really did not know what to order the menu is too massive for my taste but the protein platter was jumping out so I inquired about it — mind you our waiter was super busy and since we needed a minute ended up waiting over 20 mins for service so I asked random waiter about it and they said it’s plenty for 2. Finally ordered half hour later and food came OMG was the saltiest thing ever and would not recommend it for anyone. Also it’s small pieces of meat so really it’s not for 2 but I let my partner eat it he doesn’t mind salt but I can’t believe someone would feel good to serve this, I would have loved to send it back had I known we could. I guess go for breakfast but I’m afraid to go back. The chefs taste buds could send someone to hospital for high blood pressure! I ordered a coffee … Would love to know what’s safe to order but breakfast items feel like safe bet no dinners and definitely no protein platter! ****Update the mocha blended was disappointing to say the least, tasted like cream with ice literally not coffee– I’d stay clear of this place. Wasted money and time, service is horrendous. Also manager contacted me via message but failed to follow through so obviously the staff take after the poor management.***

This is always a safe choice place. Great atmosphere and amazing food. Their menu is hugeeeeee. Anything you might be in the mood for, they have. I love that you can swap out french fries for onion rings for only 50 cents. I’ve never been there when it’s crazy busy, but the seating arrangement is spread out, so it never feels cramped. There is also a little outside eating area, but I’ve never seen anyone eating there. The one down side to this place is the parking lot. Having a parking lot in LA is a luxury, so you take what you can get. It’s a little cramped and shared with other stores, so sometimes it’s tough to get a spot. Pricing is a tad expensive for diner like food, but it’s great quality food.

I love Jinkys! I come here at least twice a month for breakfast with friends. Their new menus are fantastic! I love the new choices in the breakfast menu with the large or small options. Brenda is great and took the time to stop by our table this morning to chat with us!

OK, I need to preface this review by saying that I was dealing with a top ten hang over when I was here. That said, Jinky’s brought me through the darkness with a good cup of coffee and an even better spicy bloody. We had a large group that they were able to seat right away on a weekend. It was busy but not insane. Jinky’s has an interesting menu that is as eclectic as it is long. We shared Bananas Foster Crepes and Chili Mac to start. Again, I cannot say that the Chili Mac was a good call sober but, in the state I was in, I was PISSED that we didn’t order more of it… just so good! I am a fan anyway and it is difficult to find good old fashioned Chili Mac so my guess is that I would have loved it either way. The crepes were outstanding. I had some kind of scramble with Chorizo. I think the Santa Fe Scramble. It was outstanding. The eggs benedict looked great as did the Desperado(think giant breakfast burrito.) If I lived in LA, this place would be a staple for me. The only reason it doesn’t get a five from me is the actual restaurant is kind of a mess. Not dirty, just not well put together. Think movie posters on the wall with lots of booze ads. Nothing horrible at all, just kind of a hokie interior. Ignore the interior though because the food is a 5 star experience for sure.

So far one of the best places to enjoy an omelette for breakfast… or any breakfast food for that matter! The menu is huge! Tons of options for omelettes, scrambles, and breakfast sandwiches. And so much more! My husband ordered the Greek Omelette which looked very good and I ordered the Green and White Healthy Omelette which consisted of egg whites, veggies, avocado, and Swiss cheese. It was delish! I was very impressed with the large portion of avocado they give you. It’s a little more expensive compared to the other omelettes but worth it. You can choose your side and type of bread you want. I went with the tomatoe slices and the English muffins and I made a perfect little breakfast sandwich to go with my omelette. There are lots of tables so I’m assuming even if it is a busy time of the day(like Sunday Brunch peak hours) you should be able to get a seat in a reasonable amount of time. There is also a good amount of outdoor seating so if the weather is right they can accommodate to pretty big crowds.

The menu has wayyyyy too many options, but the food here is quite delicious. Came here for an omelet and I am impressed with the quantity of ingredients! Veggie omelet– i know, it sounds boring, but boy there is so much flavor. Coming from the avocado, and the feta cheese. Every bite is bursting of fresh vegetables. Jinky’s favorite omelet– delicious! Eggs are fluffy and there is quite a bit of sausage. Not overpowering, but enough in each bite. You hardly get that in restaurant’s omelets. Bön apetit~ oh, the belgian waffles were good but not special.

My meal the other day consisted of a bowl of their garlic chicken chili. Sounds like it should be flavorful right? I ate there with a friend of mine I dine in out with frequently. She and I play a game where we both take one bite and then at the count of 3 we use one word to describe the one bite. At the count of three simultaneously she said bland while I was saying flavorless. That kind of says it all. They tout themselves as having chili is one of their specialties. I literally couldn’t eat it and the whole time I was trying to I was looking at it and thinking to myself«I bet my dog food is better than this crap». So if they consider chili as one their your specialties the least you can do is make it taste good. On a side note, I have had breakfast here many times and the breakfast are delicious. They started out as a breakfast restaurant and they should leave it at that.

Went to Jinky’s last night for the first time, group of four. Parking was a little tough to find but after a couple minutes we found one. Upon walking in we were greeted and seated with menus. The menu is very long, so many choices! I ended up ordering Desperado breakfast burrito and took a bite from the Hangover burger(perks of a boyfriend!). Both were delicious! Can’t wait to try more things from their menu. Our waiter was Jonathan who was excellent! Attentive, polite, and made sure our group was taken care of. He made the experience all the better. We’re all definitely going back to this Jinky’s!.. On the way out I noticed they also have bottomless mimosas — perfect!

What a disappointment. Ugh. After years in the valley I finally got myself to Jinky’s. This was my first time and last time coming here. What was supposed to be a fun Saturday brunch with my sister turned into a major disappointment. Service royally sucked, and our food arrived cold. We were too hungry and had waited too long that we didn’t even want to say anything and even if we want to it would have been impossible since we barely saw our server. We did have to get new glasses of water as one of them tasted like bleach. It was gross and the food was below average. I would give this place 0 stars since it failed on all accounts for me. Too bad.

This is my second time ordering take out from studio café. The first time I ordered online and I figured that the online ordering function just doesn’t work that well and was probably the reason for my food taking so long. This time I called, placed my order and was given a 10 – 15 minute wait time. Arriving 15 minutes later, I was told it would be another 5 minutes. My food was not given to me until 20 minutes after the 5 minutes putting my total wait time to 40 minutes. I have worked in restaurants as a takeout cashier so I understand things happen, however if you know the wait time is going to be longer because you have a big LABite order coming in then you should quote the right amount of time. I would not have been upset if I had to wait 30 minutes at home but sitting there being ignored in the restaurant is not good customer service. I love your food and the service is great when we dine in I just won’t order takeout from your restaurant anymore.

Wasn’t as good as the location in Santa Monica but it was okay. Everyone seemed to be in their own little world at this location. The hostess didn’t acknowledge us until I asked for a table. Our waiter went missing after we placed our order. No seriously I was thinking about putting out a bolo on him because he suddenly disappeared. A nice young lady brought our food out and it was cold. Imagine eating a cold omelette. Yeah wasn’t pleasant. But we ate it anyway because we weren’t going to spend $$$ on food and not eat. Finally our waiter came back! He dropped our check and left once again. Overall we should drove a little further to the location in Santa Monica.

Honestly, this place used to be great. It’s REALLY gone downhill. My last several visits here have been awful but I kept coming back in hopes they would get it together. Today was the last straw. There are flies all over the inside of the restaurant, the service is extremely slow(even when it’s not busy), everything is completely overpriced, and the food isn’t even good. My Eggs Benedict came out looking like it had been sitting under the heat lamp for quite some time. At the current moment, I’ve been sitting at my table with my card ready to pay for 15 minutes. The oblivious waiter walked past the table repeatedly. I guess he didn’t want me to leave? By the way, this is AFTER I finished my breakfast and sat with dirty plates on the table for over 20 minutes. No wonder there are flies! It’s unfortunate, because I am a breakfast connoisseur and this place is less than a mile from my house. I guess I’ll be making the trek an additional mile to NoHo next time, and go to EAT instead. The food is much better, the service is great, and I won’t have to share my Eggs Benedict with flies. Total spent on breakfast for 2: $ 39.77 Total time spent during this crappy experience: 1 hour and 23 minutes. (It only took like 10 minutes to eat, so you do the math)

The worst experience I’ve had in a long while. And I eat out a lot. The host was rude, didn’t even greet. She grabbed a handful of menus and two silverware and LITERALLY plopped all of it on the middle of the table, in a pile, and walked away. I was so confused and thrown off by it. It gets better. It wasn’t the server, but some girl came by our table and took our drink order. She was trying to get me to just order water. I almost had to convince her to give me a cup of coffee, it was so weird. Like I was bothering her. The server comes. He doesn’t behave like he works there. I feel like someone asked him to wait tables a few hours prior to our arrival. He has no manners, and talks like he’s known us for ten years but rudely. Like how you mess with your siblings or something. Maybe by that point we were in a bad mood. Our food order was wrong twice. And the food was bad. We got veggie sausage… Lol. They bought those frozen sausages from Ralphes. The Bocca things? And served it to us for ten dollars. With an egg. The quinoa bowl was saugey with no flavor. They got our food order wrong twice btw. And didn’t say goodbye to us when we left. I hate Jinkys and never going back.

Jinky’s is one of those restaurants I’ve passed by about 20 times. Finally, I decided to stop in for Sunday brunch. ‘Twas sunny and breezy and perfect for sitting on the outdoor patio. Excluding the ghetto hot messes drunk off bottomless Mimosas to the right of my table, my friend and I decided Jinky’s is the new Hugo’s! I was tempted by the 15+ gourmet Chili’s, but decided to order the egg white scramble with shrimp, capers, pesto sauce, scallions, and avocado. The scramble was the perfect size, with the perfect amount of salty capers seasoned throughout. I’m always cautious about ordering shellfish, but these baby shrimp were scrumptious. My friend ordered the gluten free pesto pasta with salmon. The oily sauce was beyond DELISH! I thought it might have been better paired with shrimp and avocado, but the salmon was also D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S. ALLDAYBREAKFAST + More Choices & Freedom than America could ever dream of… P. S. Coming back for the pancakes when I have a cheat day…

Very spacious patio area, perfect for eating dinner on warm summers evening. Very nice, friendly waiter. I got the Beet and Goat cheese salad with added chicken. It was delicious. I really must come here more often. The food is really good, and the waiters are very helpful. I had a lovely time eating on their patio.

I used to work for Jinky’s as my first real job when I was 16 in the Sherman Oaks location.(My review stands unbiased fyi) I used to tell all my friends and family to come eat there because it’s awesome. And it still is. Jinky’s was one of the original breakfast restaurants in the valley that had an over an hour wait.(I worked as the hostess and my regulars never had to wait that long so be nice to your hostesses lol) Their food is still great and this newer location with a wine and beer menu made a great breakfast place even better! Who can beat bottomless mimosas for a cheap cost? Even their salads are super yummy! I can’t remember the salad I ordered but I took a picture of it. It was a great mix of veggies and fruits to make a sweet and salty dish… Just how I like it

For our second morning in California, we again chose a restaurant near our hotel. We settled on Jinky’s Studio City Café. We arrived at 8:15 on a Sunday morning and were seated right away. We had a nice booth that was near the door to the kitchen and the restrooms. I mention this only because there were children running in and out of those doors the whole time we were there(perhaps the owner’s children?). Our waiter came after a reasonable amount of time and we order the 2+2+2 = two eggs, two pancakes, and two pieces of bacon. I got the pumpkin pancakes and Mr. Grey got the oat pancakes. The food arrived fairly quickly and was perfect. My pumpkin pancakes were very good — not overdone on the pumpkin pie spice like some can be. They were light and fluffy. My eggs, over light, were again perfect and the bacon was nice and crispy. Luckily the hostess came by and refilled our coffee because we never saw our waiter again after placing our order(the food was delivered by someone from the kitchen). Or rather we saw him, he just never stopped by. He didn’t ask if the food was okay or if we needed anything, he never brought us the check. It was kind of strange, especially since he had to walk by us repeatedly to enter orders into the register. I finally had to get up and ask someone if we could get a check and pay. Food was good, the waiter(I can’t remember his name) was terrible.
