One of my favorite breakfast locations! I frequent this place almost weekly. The customer service is always great and the food is always delicious. My favorite dish is the Paris Toast with sautéed strawberries. It’s amazing! My husband loves their blueberry pancakes. The coffee is also very good and so are their pancakes… don’t even get me started on their potatoes. I’m hungry just thinking about it. Only cons are that it is a small place so there tends to be a line if you don’t get there early, and limited parking in the back.

Pretty good lunch spot. A little expensive for such a hole in the wall. The outdoor patio is very nice to sit at on a sunny SoCal day. The pancakes are good and would probably be the go to order. The breakfast burrito was a poor choice– way too many potatoes inside and no cheese! No go– don’t order it.

This is one of my favorite places for breakfast & lunch. I have been here many times, but usually during the week when it has been less busy, so I really haven’t encountered any long wait times. They have a great selection, and food has always been amazing, with some favorites being the Mediterranean Omelette, the Breakfast Lavash and the Blueberry Pancakes. But everything I’ve tried here has been great. And I’m very picky about ordering sides of fruit, but the fruit here is some of the best! Parking is not the greatest – there are a few spaces in the back, or metered parking on the street, but it doesn’t discourage me from coming back.

It was a pleasant surprise. The food was very flavorful. I had 7 grain pancakes and an omelette. Everything was good. The servers were nice too.

I love this place! You can even bring your dog in the outside seating area!!! They bring your dog water and everyone that works there is so sweet! I got a huge breakfast plate for a great price. My waiter was so nice because I couldn’t choose between eggs and a pancake and since he knew it was my first time he said I’ll bring you s tiny pancake so you can try it. Talk about spoiling! Their pancakes really are wow. I see what the hype is all about. Woohoooo can’t wait to go back here!

I am a self proclaimed breakfast fiend. This is one of my favorite spots! Espresso drinks are strong and made perfectly. I prefer lattes or straight up espresso, but hubby loves the black forest mocha. He likes the savory food… especially the eggs benedict. I’m here to tell you about the Paris Toast. Think of baguette french toast smothered with sauteed strawberries; the smooth buttery goodness hitting your taste buds. Mmm, mmm, mmm! They even sell a half dish so think of it as half the calories! ;) Just run an extra mile later. It’s worth it! People…of course you’re going to wait for a table. Just start with a coffee or latte from the bar and enjoy your morning. Good things come to those who wait!

I was so excited to be here having Unilocal for grits. Being my first time — I’m trying to be not so harsh, but it just was bad. I ordered the grist and sausage, The grits had ZERO flavor and lacked in the simple flavor of salt. The grits was so loose it was more like a soup. The side potatoes I had, STONECOLD!(sadly they had just open @ 0800 and it’s only about 0830) The server took everything back and I ordered the Greek omelette, like it’s brother the grits was again flavorless. I’m a given um a second try sort of person — - but I feel that omelette was the second try. Moving on! Over all $ 20 for breakfast gone!

I drive by this place all the time. As a matter of fact I have partied across the street several times. I must say that I am so excited about this spot because I love trying to breakfast spots. Not only was the food good but the ambiance is super homey and relaxing. Their cinnamon pancakes I heard were to die for but because I am watching my calorie intake– I decided to order an omelette :) I tried some of the ultimate pancakes and it was actually pretty good. Might I add that they are also dog friendly and were so kind enough to bring a water bowl for this little handsome frenchie that was sitting by us. The owner was nice and made sure we got seated right away. Inside was a bit stuffy so we asked to be seated outside, which worked out perfectly because the weather today is amazing.

Just came back from a breakfast at Jumping Java. Completely and thoroughly disappointed! They served us cold eggs, bacon, potatoes, and toast. In fact, ice cold. We were starving and in a bit of a hurry so I ate the eggs and a piece of toast. My wife had most of hers. When the waitress came over — who was very very nice and polite and cordial btw– to ask if everything was ok I told her everything was cold. in fact handed her a piece of toast which she hesitated to touch. but I assured her it was ok, I literally gave her permission to do so. so she did and acknowledged yes it was in fact cold. She offered to redo it or bring me something else but I told her we didn’t have the time. She went to speak to the chef and manager. She came back and said they wouldn’t do anything about it, so I asked to speak to the manager. He came over and when I explained that our meals were ice cold, he simply said to call the owner and let her know. «Call the owner. and let her know” — yes that was his response! He wrote her phone number on the back of our check and then after we paid 30+ dollars for two ice cold egg dishes, kept the check with the phone number on it. I told him since I ate the eggs, cold or not I would be happy to pay for those. but the rest??? He simply refused to comp any part of the cold breakfast that I barely touched. AWFUL customer service. Lousy ice cold food. Never again.

My sausage was first over cooked then undercooked. My french toast was cold. Overall was not impressed with my food.

Amazing omelettes! Definitely one of the best in Studio City. Lots of choices, the Mediterranean omelette is incredible. Nice to see items that are not traditionally found in omelettes(sundried tomatoes, eggplant, brie cheese). They also have crepes, sweet and savory, all of which are delicious. Careful with the chocolate crêpe… can be a sugar overload. Gets crowded later in the day, especially on Sunday, and the restaurant is pretty small so get ready for a wait… but it’s worth it! Parking is limited. Check the back lot first.

Not great, not bad. Everyone was nice, kept the coffee filled, food came out in good time, beat the HELL out of a Denny’s or Dupar’s. But the food(Skirt stake with some sort of egg mush with guacamole and sour cream and potatoes) kinda blah. I mean, it’s still«A-OK» with three stars but the bar has been raised these days, right? I would go back and try something else.

*** My favorite breakfast pitstop in the SF valley. *** I have come here many times over many years now. Relaxed, outdoor seating available and quick service. Yesterday I tried the Salmon & Caviar Benedict for $ 15. Ok the sprinkle of caviar is more for just visual effect but the salmon benedict is quite good. I would order it again. *** Parking in the rear off the alley — small but it’s free. ***

This place is a knew find for me in the valley and boy am I glad I did! The breakfast has been deeelish every time and service is on point! I’ve come here twice so far for a sunday brunch with a friend and we always order our food and share a pancake because that’s the best way to start off your Sunday! I got the salmon benedict both times and they were delicious each time! It’s hard to find a spot that offers salmon instead of bacon so I can’t resist ordering the same item. The eggs have been well peached and perfectly runny in the center which is what I love! The pancakes. I’m not a huge pancake lover but man, these are pretty amazing. A little crispy on the outside and perfectly moist on the inside. Deeelish! I’ve got to say, I’ve definitely found my new breakfast spot!

Went here for brunch this past Sunday. Every time my fam and I go, we always enjoy our meal, but service ALWAYS lacks. Although they are super nice, we always seem to be waiving them down for service. Like water. Or the check. :/ Reason for the 4 Stars? Food is just that amazing!!! :)

Our first morning waking up in Los Angeles, California and we needed to decide on a place for breakfast. We had only two requirements: that it be close to our hotel and it had coffee. We are not picky. We are not adventuresome breakfast eaters — rarely straying from eggs and pancakes. But still we didn’t want to eat in any restaurant that we could eat in at home. After perusing reviews, we settled on Jumpin Java, one of the closest to our hotel. I had already read the reviews on the carrot cake pancakes($ 6.95 for two), so I didn’t even need to look at a menu. The hubs settled on his usual eggs and pancakes, but instead of going the carrot cake route, he went with the healthy ultimate pancakes(6.95 for two). There is an option to get 4 pancakes for $ 7.95, and I can’t even imagine how someone could eat four. I could barely finish my two, these are large pancakes. They were also excellent. My carrot cake pancakes far exceeded my expectations. I expected a sweet pancake flavored sort of carrot cakish — which it was not at all. There were bits of shredded carrots, plump raisins and walnuts — with a nice hint of sweet spices. They were absolutely perfect. The hubs loved his ultimate pancakes. Lots of oats, hearty and filling. Service was fine, coffee was kept filled.
