I want to rave about Lia at Coif Salon. She is incredibly creative, talented, and skilled. She did a Brazilian Blowout and my hair looks fabulous! She is also a very nice person. Salon is lovely and relaxing also!

I have had the pleasure of going to Jackie at Coif Salon since a friend referred me to her 4 years ago. I LOVE HER! She is so sweet and very good at what she loves… hair! Our visits every few months are great, and I always leave stoked on my new & improved look. The salon is conveniently tucked into a cute space on Tujunga Ave in Studio City next to Aroma Café with plenty of parking!

I just got my hair color done today with Jackie, and is very happy with her work and services. Jackie is very sweet, put you at ease and works with you to find out what you are looking for, and what works best for you. The whole experience is very soothing and relaxing, and she doesn’t make you feel rushed. Jackie takes her time to make sure you leave the salon a happy and satisfied customer! I am already looking forward to adding additional highlights with her next week, and a future haircut. Thank you so much, Jackie. You are my gal! :)

I love this salon! The environment is great. It is an inside and outside salon so you can have your hair done outside in the little garden or get it done inside. Such an awesome idea but the five stars is for my stylist, Melody. I used to dye my hair black myself for years and she was able to fix my hair! I was terrified of the whole process but Melody assured me I would get the results I wanted without damaging my hair. Now I have my natural looking brown hair back with some highlights. Not only does Melody know what she is doing when it comes to color and cuts, but she is also very sweet. I always have a pleasant time when I go to get my hair done by her. I highly recommend her!

I want to like this place, I really do. It’s right in my neighborhood in a charming little garden house setting. The girls who work there are really nice too. However, after getting a Keratin Straightening Treatment ($ 150), my hair was still very frizzy. I gave it a couple weeks to see if there was any improvement after a few sulfate free washings. No better after that. So, I called the owner of the salon, Cindy, and left her a message explaining the situation. She didn’t return my call, so a couple days later I stopped in to the salon. Cindy wasn’t in, so I left a second message with the front desk, who seemed surprised that no one had gotten in touch with me. It’s been weeks and still, crickets. No phone call back. Nothing. This tells me that Coif doesn’t stand behind its services, or worse, they do not care about their clients satisfaction at all.

I love Coif! I go see Jackie and she’s my girl. I get a color, cut and blow dry and its never disappointing. They are sweet, punctual and do a great job and are only 5 min. from my place… Highly recommended!

Great little salon tucked into a garden courtyard in the Tujunga Village of Studio City. I’m here often for manicures and am considering getting eyelash extensions here.
Sonja, the manicurist is out of the world. Best damn manicure you’ll ever get. Her gel manicure is what I get, lasts up to THREE WEEKS. Incredible.

These 5 stars are for Melody and the amazing hair treatment she gave me. I used to have my hair straightened with the Japanese Yuko system and then I tried the Brazilian blow out (thinking it would be less time consuming). My final issue with both of those methods is that it left my hair TOO straight and TOO flat, not to mention the controversy over the chemical exposure, the time factor, and the cost.
This straightening treatment comes in a couple of different strengths to allow some choice about how straight you want your hair to be. The process was faster than the Brazilian blow out and the Yuko system, less smelly, less $$, and the result is soft, frizz free hair that still has plenty of body. Actually, it was still a little straighter than I wanted initially, but after the first couple of shampoos, I’m very satisfied with the result. It’s been a couple of months and I’m still loving it! without question, I’ll return for this treatment again.

Coif Salon is awesome! i love the design of the place. Amy is my absolute favorite hair designer. Everytime i get a hair cut from Amy, i feel more confident than before! She just knows how to shape the hair in such a way that it falls naturally beautiful to your specific facial structure. Amazing.
She is seriously the best, and i dont know how she does it. She was just born to do this and shes a gift to the world! And definitely me! :))

This place is great — everyone’s nice and relaxed and Cindy gave me the best haircut in years. I’m not easy to please, but she asked questions and listened, and I immediately felt at ease. Bring in pictures and communicate what you want and you’ll get a really nice cut here.

Is a nice little spot in Toluca lake village. I like that it is close to Aroma and a bunch of cute boutiques. Took advantage of their $ 25 blow dry on a Friday. I’d probably go back sometime.

The ladies here are so lovely, you feel like you are in your friends living room drinking tea and chatting. I bought the four blowouts for $ 100 as a new customer, and Jackie did such a great job I decided to give her a try for a haircut. I am beyond THRILLED with it! She gave me exactly what I wanted, blew it out beautifully (I hate when salons don’t finish styling your hair — definitely not an issue here) and even curled the ends. I left feeling fabulous and I’m able to style it easily on my own as well. I am a fan!

Sadly, my search for a new hair salon continues. Based on a recommendation, I gave Coif a whirl. It is a cute little salon in a converted cottage-​y house on the trendier part of Tujunga (right next door to Aroma). The staff is friendly and Cindy (the owner) is really sweet. She asked me how I wanted my hair cut and seemed to have a good idea of my vision.
Unfortunately, the end result just wasn’t my style. Some of the layers were sooo short, that it was hard to tame for weeks! My cut looked a little older than I would have liked… I’m still under thirty and want to make sure I keep looking like it! They do sell some pretty good products, like Batiste Dry Shampoo, which is essential to every girl’s gym bag and/​or beauty product collection.

So I was finally privileged enough to have Ahou work on my hair after I had met her the first time with my baby. This time, she helped create a fabulous up-​do that was perfect for the occasion. She was so kind to let me squeeze in without an appointment just hours before I needed my hair done. She did a FABULOUS job. I got so many compliments on my hair!
Ahou is a perfectionist and that’s exactly what you want in a stylist! She helped tame the stubborn strands and patiently re-​did a few pins until it was just right.
Ahou is also very knowledgeable.
She was telling me about what she had learned about different kinds of keratin hair treatments and which is the best kind. She also gave me so many useful tips like how sleeping on a silk pillow helps prevent damage to my hair (who knew?). She told me how to set curls most effectively and so much more.
If you’re like me and haven’t ever found the right salon and right stylist after years and years of trying different places and people… you’ll be happy like me!
Last note: It came up in conversation that she was called in to do a photo shoot the next day so you know she is good!!!

I have been going to Cindy for a little over two years now. She is extremely talented and runs a great little businees. I was recommended to her through a Hair stylist on my show, and have been going to her ever since for color, because she matches it naturally every time.
GO TO CINDY!!! Located right next to aroma café on the Tujunga strip you couldn’t get a better location and a cooler salon.
