I have no idea why people like this place. I guess it’s because there’s not a lot of options in stuart. The seats are not comfortable, the menu has zero pizzaz, overall a disappointing experience. It’s not bad, but it’s not amazing.

Ok — it’s night and I’m hungry. It has been raining for 2 straight days here in Stuart — where do I want comfort quality food? Check Unilocal.Scroll down the list — come across this restaurant. Not far from where we live — but never been there. We’re going. Walk in and we are immediately liking it. Genuinely greeted by a gentleman who looks pleased we choice this restaurant. Table for two please. Beautiful little table and the place was nearly full. We like to dissident side when eating and check out everything that’s going on. Gisele was our waitress extremely nice and friendly and knew her stuff. We wanted lite meal but we were so torn by all the deliciousness of the items on the menu-I ordered fried Chicken Livers with hot sauce and a creamier mild sauce. Husband ordered House Salad with a kick ass Vanilla Bean Champagne vinaigrette dressing. Hot rolls fresh from the oven came out first(delicious) then our food. Extreme generous portions and both dishes presented beautifully and with pride. You can tell — we ate every morsel, but we did leave the plate. We will return shortly for another experience in dining and we will make sure we bring our appetites. Thank you Unilocal but mostly thank you Ocean East Bistro. The food was amazing, the décor classy and intimate and service extraordinary. Try it you will NOT be sorry Update: 12÷29÷15 had dinner here tonight — beyond fabulous! This place is a treasure. I don’t want to tell everyone how awesome the food is here, because I don’t want it to get ridiculously crowded, but I do want them to be acknowledged and the chef commended for his culinary skills. He’s a genius with what foods go together with other foods. Tonight my husband had the Baby Kale salad. It was a kaleidoscope of tastes and colors. And man was it delicious(of course I had to try it). He also had the seafood chowder. Now I am not s soup person but it was fantastic. Not fishy, combined flavored of seafood and veggies. Broth out of this world I had the Kobe beef sliders with toasted roll, carmelized onions and cheddar cheese! Served with a cone of Hot, well salted, fresh, homemade potato fries. OMG I thought I died and went to heaven. I’ve been coming to Stuart for 23 years! This is the best restaurant in town! Hands down. GONOW 1÷8÷16 — back again! We love this place. Salmon atop Polenta, encrusted in crispy potato with Al dente green beans and asparagus. This was following the House Salad which as usual is out of this world. I had the Kobe Beef sliders with sautéed onions and cheddar cheese, served with HOT home made potato fries! Yummy By the way they sell their House Salad dressing! Don’t leave without it. I almost forgot — last week were there and had the Meatloaf! It’s one of the signature dishes and not and I mean not like any meatloaf you have ever had! Go to this restaurant, you will not be disappointed

It was pretty empty for 7:30 on a Saturday, but I’m guessing that’s because the usual clientele tends to be early eaters. Service was both friendly and efficient. The food was as good as any in the area. Beef carpaccio, house salad, 2 of the best filets either of us have had, and a great crème brûlée(which was served cool with a warm crust, like it should be) to finish. Truthfully, a great meal with none of the snobbery that has been experienced at other well regarded restaurants in the area.

We were out looking for something spectacular so we headed for The East Ocean Bistro, I have to say it was just OK nothing special except for the soup of the day, a creamy onion that was superb! With high hopes after the soup we sampled 2 salads(I did like that you could order ½ orders on the salad) unfortunately they were mediocre at best(the Kale salad and the Ceasar) at that point we opted to have some appetizers in hopes of a recovery we tried the baked brie which was just ok and then the saffron shrimp risotto which again was just ok. Deciding we were definitely not that impressed we thought we would end the meal with a tried and true dessert that could not possibly be anything but scrupulous, the Crème Brule, unfortunately it could quite possibly have been my worst one ever! The custard(if you could even call it a custard) was very dense and cold, the Brule topping was tasteless an overall thumbs down. I did tell the waitress how unhappy we were with the dessert in an effort to see if she even cared enough to tell the management of which she didn’t. So if you are looking for a mediocre meal they do have a happy hour menu between 4 and 6 for $ 14.95, that is probably where you should start to get a real feel for the place, not a fine dinning expirience but you sure could fill up on a mediocre one.

We went for dinner hoping to have another great option in Martin County of which there is not as many as I would like. Unfortunately it was only mediocre. We started with the cream of onion soup that was the special and it was excellent. Unfortunately after that everything was mediocre. And our final course was the crème brûlée which was served cold and thick and not good. Understand It is not bad it is just not excellent. They offered an early bird special for $ 15 that looked like an incredible value for what was served. If that’s what you’re looking for I would highly recommend it but if you’re looking for find dining I would not. Try the district table bar or The Gafford or Ian’s tropical Grill if you’re looking for really fine meal.

Came in as a large group for a wedding rehearsal dinner. The food here was amazing, from the soup, to the entrée and all the way to dessert. The waitstaff handled our large party with ease. The food. Omg, the food. I really think they have a master chef in their kitchen and looking at the building from the outside you would never have guessed.

Had my rehearsal dinner here and everything was amazing! The chicken fell off the bone, the salmon was the best salmon O ever had and everyone was super impressed. Chef Fred came out to surprise us with a special treat for the bride and groom. I definitely will be checking this place out again. Definitely worth trying, you won’t be disappointed.

First off. service was great. Atmosphere was superb. And the chicken liver appetizer was heavenly. I had the Grilled Filet Mignon, Nueske’s Bacon Boursin Cheese, Pinot Noir Glazed Onions and it was melt in your mouth tender, cooked perfectly and kudos to the chef. Excellent. My wife had the Meatloaf — Ground Beef & Pork, Rosemary, Tomatoes, Onions, Marsala Gravy(she loves meatloaf) and she said it was the best she ever had. I commend our server on his professionalism, patience and kindness. He had a four topper with two geriatric couples who wanted to remake every recipe and promptly started sending everything back. Unbelievable. I’m surprised we couldn’t hear(my imagination) the 100 megaton hydrogen bomb going off in the kitchen when the chef had to trash his culinary delights to suit the Stouffer’s entrée crowd at that table. We absolutely loved the creativity and flavor of the chef’s creations. Thank you.

So my wife and I were galavanting through Jensen Beach, when ALAS… we came upon the East Ocean Bistro on, where else? Ocean Blvd. To our pleasant surprise, it was Early Bird Special time!!! Whoopee!!! Three course meal at $ 14.99 was hard to not do. Both my wife and I had the Vanilla Bean Vinaigrette Salad… delish. meatloaf was absolutely scrumptious — and we are meatloaf eaters, and as a dessert, the Crème Brûlée — which was to die for. Being 48 and 50 yrs old, we were the youngest by twenty years at the time we were there. But it made for a quiet dinner. I will highly recommend this establishment — food, ambience, and service was well above average, and a definite return to eatery! Great job!

We were a group of five. We didn’t have any apps… went straight to entrees. Two meat loafs(AWESOME!), Sauteed rock shrimp in pesto sauce(AMAZING), Kobe beef sliders app as entrée(DEFINITEREPEAT!) and the chicken entrée(DELICIOUS.) Our server was outstanding. All of our meals were delivered piping hot. Great atmosphere which was perfect to have conversation but still had a good vibe.

Delicious hamburgers. Had a filet mignon sandwich with all the fixings. Delicious french fries too. It’s like an old time bar inside. And a great dining experience worth it!

In an otherwise quiet plaza, East Ocean Bistro is a great spot for early bird dinners, date night, or gourmet lunch. Thursdays they have a special lunches starting at $ 6.99, & other items like Soft Shell Crab Sandwich or Shrimp Scampi Tortellini are reasonable under $ 12. The dinner specials are wonderful & the chef is obviously experienced in preparing delicate but flavorful sauces & seasonings. The escargot was well flavored in a wine butter sauce. The blue cheese stuffed filet was cooked perfectly & my lumpcrabmeat topped Yellowtail snapper was a delicious offering. It was not crowded the two times I’ve gone-the décor is retro but nice.

We went here because it got recommended by a coworker. And also $ 6.99 lunch specials on Thursday! We ordered a hamburger and an eggplant salad from the speciality Thursday menu. Food came quickly and it was a very positive and lovely restaurant. The hostess was full of life and made us feel welcome. The only problem is that the food wasn’t good enough for their prices and their selection was very limited. I am glad that we tried it but I think I’m going to stick to First Watch.

Excellent food and a good(but noisy) atmosphere. I had a wonderful dish of yellowfin served atop polenta with a butter, shrimp and andouille sausage topping. My wife enjoyed the crab Mac ‘n’ cheese. The only drawback was the noise. They’ve apparently tried to deafen the sound with curtains and sound panels on the walls, but it’s still a bit noisy. But with focus this good, who cares?

We came on the recommendation from a neighbor. What a great find! This was easily the best meal we have had since we arrived in September. We ordered from the prix fix menu. Excellent options, including mushroom brandy soup or mixed greens for the first course, potato crusted salmon or sauteed shrimp among others for the second course. The crème brulet and cinnamon ice cream for dessert were a very nice surprise and a great way to finish the meal. For a pittance we had a thoroughly enjoyable meal.
